Chapter 4

Jacob:

Alice, talk to me

Come on, at least tell me what I did.

I ignored them, I put my phone on charge and left the room.

There was a knock on the door. I went to open it because no one else was there but me. I open the door to find Jacob and my brother. He looks at me, I turn and head upstairs, and close my door.

He opens my door and comes in.

"Hey," he says I ignore him.

"What did I do?" he said I still ignored him.

"Okay I will leave you alone," he says as he heads out.

"Give me a chance to explain myself," he says as he walks back in.

"You seriously have no idea?" I ask as I run my fingers through my hair.

"Yes," he says.

"You ignored me for days, now you want me to talk to you?" I speak.

"I was busy," he says.

"Well, don't let me stop you," I said.

"What are you doing there anyway, why do you suddenly want to spend time with me? Do you feel sorry for me?" I asked.

"I don't feel sorry for you," he said as he came closer to me.

"What are you doing," I ask as I try to take a step back.

"I'm not just some girl you feel sorry for and hang out to waste time and then leave and forget about," I said.

"Why would I do that?" he said.

"Because you're you, and I'm me," I said as we stared at each other.

His hand flies to check. He rubs my cheek and for a month I forgot about everything.

He comes close to my ear and said, "I like hanging out with you, newbie."

After he whispered that to me, I turned to the left as my side cheek was pressed against his.

He pulls away and we face each other and kiss.

So, I push him off and leave.

I didn't see him for the whole day.

The whole day my mind raced. I pinch myself because I couldn't believe that happened.

A knock on the door came, I headed downstairs to open it.

"Hey Babe," my boyfriend said as I let him in.

We hug.

"Ben, I missed you," I said as I hugged him tightly.

"You really did miss me," he said as we laughed about it.

"I have a present for you," he said as he left the house and got into his car to get me a present.

"What is it?" I asked as he came back into the house.

"Open it," he said as I opened it.

It's a necklace with our initial.

"Ben, I love it," I said as I gave it to him and pulled my hair up for him to put on him.

After he puts it on me, I hug him.

"But I haven't got you anything," I said as I look down.

He places his hand on my chin and pulls me to look at him.

"You're my present," he said as my heart melted.

"I love you," I said as we kissed and cuddled on the couch and watched movies.

Hours past. I hear someone unlocking the door. We hear voices that sound like my brother and Jacob.

They walk in.

"Welcome back Ben," Olive and Jacob said.

I avoided looking at Jacob but that didn't last long. Because we are staring at each other intensely.

My brother taps Jacob's shoulder to signal him to go upstairs. I looked away and put my head on my boyfriend's chest.

"Are you okay?" he asked as I didn't notice he was looking at me.

"Yeah, more than okay, because you're here," I said as he smiled.

A knock on the door came and I got up and opened it.

"Tiara," I said as we hug "what are you doing here."

"I missed my best friend and I have a lot to tell you," she said as she noticed Ben.

"Hey Ben, how was your holiday," she asked as she sat down next to us.

We chatted for a bit until Ben had to leave as his parents needed him.

Tiara stayed over the night.

We stayed and talked for a bit.

Then we head to bed.
