Chapter 3 A LONE JOURNEY

Daisy's POV

I was immediately driven out of the Redmoon Pack when I least expected it. Once you're driven out of a pack, it is death to return to it. Now that Alpha Robert banished me, I had only one option which was to go rogue.

I sighed as I took this dangerous journey alone. Being a rogue wasn't an easy task, you got to struggle for food, money, and survival as a whole. Most companies don't hire rogues as they see them to be unruly. It wasn't possible to veil one's identity as a rogue, starting from the pack's ID card would be seized once you turn rogue, then your connection with your pack.

Any ordinary werewolf could sense another who had no connection to a pack. Especially being a girl, I was more vulnerable to assaults. Tears streamed from my eyes as I continued to walk along this lonely road leading away from the Redmoon Pack.

Suddenly I stopped, my wolf alerted me of some danger. Even when I was a rogue I wasn't parted from my wolf, it was still with me just that it didn't belong to any pack again.

"Two people are following us!" I heard her say. I turned swiftly to check out what she said, only to see no one. I lowered my brows.

My wolf couldn't lie, that meant they hid among the trees as I turned. I kept on walking, with my mind and wolf getting more and more bothered. I could perceive some scents that belonged to my former pack.

"Hmm," I released a heavy sigh as I realized that I no longer belonged to it. Anyone who was trailing me from the Redmoon Pack was now an enemy. I stopped. I felt a deep sense of sorrow in my heart.

I pretended as though I was so weak and no longer interested in going further, without any notice, I turned this time around to see two wolves staring at me hungrily. I froze to the spot, they snarled, baring their sharp teeth with their scorching, yellow eyes gazing at me.

"Run! Run!!" My wolf could sense danger whenever it detected it. I took to my heels swiftly, changing into my wolf as I ran.

"What the hell!" I exclaimed before fully shifting into my brown wolf. It was amazing shifting so swiftly even after being banished, this was something I'd never heard of before.

The two wolves didn't relent, they pursued us, running at full speed, my wolf was swift, and I was galloping like a horse I felt like I was flying in the air. "Where are we heading to?" My human mind which had now taken the back spot asked my wolf.

"Anywhere. We just have to be saved from these people. They are enemies."

When we approached a dead end, I was immersed in fear as there was no way to escape. This was the end of the road, I slowed down, and the wolves were approaching dominating the space between us. My wolf stood gallantly to fight, something which I wouldn't dare if I was in my human form.

I was shaking but my wolf soon took dominion. "We have to fight them and take over authority."

"We are out of their pack, we can't still be tormented." My wolf growled. I'd thought that once I left the pack, all the torments and assaults would end, but I was wrong. The worst was that I didn't even know these wolves who were trailing us.

"Could there be from the Alpha Charles or Robert?" I questioned my wolf who was set to fight, before he could respond, the fight had begun. I jumped over them snarling, looking for the best possible chance to bite them on the neck. These wolves were just my size, thereby making it quite difficult to overcome two. Even with this, I had to try my best.

To leave this place, I had to defeat them lest they wouldn't let me leave but will continue to pursue me.

"Let's go this once and for all," my wolf said.

I engaged in a chase and battle since it was getting too intense fighting these two angry wolves in a small space. The battle took over thirty minutes, I was glad that in the end, I bit one wolf to death after I'd bit the other countless times. The second wolf wasn't dead, but it was severely injured. When the first fell to its death, the second ran away.

It wasn't so easy, I, myself was also battered and almost out of breath. I persisted in walking for a kilometre, only to collapse in a faint. That was the last memory I had about myself, I didn't know what happened next.

I awoke to find myself in a strange room, with two people standing guard over me.

"Where am I?" I stood up from the bed which I was lying on in my human form. They stared at me with silent and cold faces not saying anything. I blinked my eyes several times in horror, detesting the expression they were giving me.

"What's going on here, someone should tell me?" I yelled. I was so frustrated and confused, and worst of all fear came to add up. I'd lost memory of where last I'd been and what happened to me.

Attempting to engage the guards in conversation to discover my whereabouts, I found them stoically silent no matter what I said. My wounds had been roughly tended to, causing me to wince in both pain and anxiety. I was feeling as though death was imminent.

Seeing the silence and aloofness of the room in which I was, I began to seek a way to escape. Even when I didn't remember what happened I recalled I was banished from the Redmoon Pack by Alpha Charles.

I was saddened that I wasn't able to clear my father's name before leaving. "Now I don't have such chances," I sighed, shaking my head. The guards looked at me with curiosity in their eyes, not knowing what I meant.

At this very moment, I caught a whiff of fragrance that made my wolf stir with excitement. Slowly, the door opened, and my eyes opened wider to see who it was that was coming in.

It was a great shock when I laid eyes on a charming, blue-eyed, tall and muscular man, the very man who was destined to be her mate.
