Chapter 2 BANISHED:BETRAYAL ECHOES

Daisy's POV

I returned to my lonely cottage where I spent the night grieving for my parents. Everyone was now against me including Robert who had always loved me with his heart.

I couldn't sleep that night because I knew for sure my parents were gonna die, the only problem I got was that I didn't know when this would happen and I wouldn't be getting to see them one last time.

My pillow was soaked in tears, even streaming to the old, rusty bed I was sleeping on. Later that night, around 2 AM, I received a call.

My breath stopped when this call came. I'd never received a call by this time before and from what I knew, calls at this moment were always cases of emergency. This emergency linked me directly to thoughts of my parents.

I got back to crying heavy tears which I'd already begun to suppress. I hurried over my phone which was placed on the bedside table.

Alpha Charles.

His name appeared on the screen like that dreadful horror of who he was, I shivered, rising from the bed when I took my mind to the event of today where I caught Robert having sex with Camilla.

"Could it be that he reported me to the Alpha?" This was the next thought that came to mind, all thoughts rumbling in my mind within a few seconds. With my shaky hands, I tapped on the green icon which linked me directly with the Alpha.

"You should be thankful and so glad for this great favour I'll be doing you now." My face was occupied by terror, with my lips which were twisted into a smirk upon hearing his voice curled up into a smile. The thought which raced through me was that my parents had been released. I was ready to jump up and scream for joy when I heard his voice loom over the phone again.

"I wanted you to witness your parents being shot dead."

I gasped. Every organ in me seemed to stop functioning as I heard the slash of swords countless times and the horrific scream of Mom and Dad. Their voices were quite recognizable, and my eyes which were supposed to dull up with tears turned bloodshot.

"I'll one day revenge for this, do whatever you think but I'll revenge for this!" I challenged the Alpha cutting the call, I hit my body so hard with my hands, punching myself so hard.

The tears which I'd proved strong against under the hearing of the Alpha drained on me in full force. When I remembered the infidelity of my Robert who was rocking with, Camilla, I broke down completely. I would have tried to survive if Robert had been there by my side to encourage me despite his dad's hatred.

"Now who will I rely on?" I questioned myself but this was a question that no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't get an answer.

"I wouldn't survive alone should I stay in this cottage," I told myself after three days of managing to survive without food. I was weak and thin, and even with food being abundant, I was sure of not being able to eat with the double trauma I was going through.

"I guess it's better you stopped grieving all day and prove your parents' innocence." My wolf said to me, it was advice that hit me deeply.

"But the Alpha asked me never to set foot on his pack?" I retorted.

"If you don't set foot on his pack, how will you be able to feed him in the long run? You think you will go any far without food?"

I shook my head, accepting reality. "But you went there on a futile mission?" She asked, my wolf knew how to force me into doing the riskiest things, I was so lucky I never got caught.

While standing over the massive field leading to the lake by the side of the cottage, I began to rethink what my wolf just said to me.

"Uta risky but it's not bad advice," I told myself. Though always forced me to do something risky, it never made me do something criminal. I couldn't just be denied entrance to Mt Pack and to my former home without any reason at all.

I decided to first of all work for the pack members living along the road before the main pack. From then on, I began to do odd jobs unsuitable for a girl just to make money daily. Even with these odd jobs I was doing, it was for the omegas.

As punishment, I was strictly forbidden to go anywhere beyond the pack house and the cottage where she lived. I wasn't also allowed to appear in front of the alphas and the luna, this is what happened each time someone was denounced by the Alpha.

I worked so hard always delivering my best for over a month after this happened, they complimented my work but never to my front because the Alpha had denounced me for doing nothing wrong.

I couldn't imagine why my fellow omegas were doing this. No one dared to speak to me. My news of diligence spread so wide that I soon got a call from the King himself. When I picked it you, I felt like throwing up remembering what he said to me the last time he called.

This time I decided to pay attention to what he had to say.

"Daisy, how are you doing?" He asked in a rich, seductive tone.

"I--I am," I sighed with anger refusing to say anything. "You're the murderer that killed my mom and dad, that hideous monster! How could you ask me how I'm feeling now? Did you kill my parents so you would see if things are good with me?" I bombarded him with lots of questions in mind.

I stared into space, wishing he was sitting beside me here to see how bloodshot my eyes had gotten into. I guessed his wolf must have told him this.

He cleared his throat. "I don't have the time to play around with a pathetic Omega!" He growled, I could sense pride in his tone. "I've heard the news about your diligence in serving poor people like you, wouldn't you love to come to serve us here at the pack estate?"

I rolled my eyes with disgust at him meanwhile my wolf rejoiced, jumping and dancing around. I lowered my brows, wondering with anxiety why it was so happy.

"You will resume work here tomorrow, early in the morning but mind you," He paused. "This is a command, not a request!" I could hear the powerful stamp of his foot on the floor. Still, I didn't say a word, my face was twisted as I imagined glaring at him with hate.

"From tomorrow, we're gonna lie back on our soft comfy bed!" My wolf exclaimed, I nearly scolded it when the Alpha's voice came up and everything seized to listen up to him.

"You're coming into this pack estate for the second time, this time to work. I don't want to see you go past your designated areas of work. Is that clear?" He barked but all I could give was only a mumble which I feared he heard.

"I don't want to see you any closer to my son, very important!" He stressed, placing much emphasis on it. I scoffed.

"I have nothing to do with a coward who can't talk to ladies in front but have sex with them in private!" I knew for sure this was gonna hurt the Alpha and Robert should he hear about this is what I also wanted.

In any way possible, I wanted them to feel the same pain they had caused me.

So I began work the next day, I was assigned to clean and pull out weeds from the garden. This is my favourite place, but this time around I wasn't doing the work because I loved it so much but because I had my secret intention in mind.

"Hey!" I heard someone call me from above, it was a girlish voice I raised my face to see for myself.

"Ha-hahah!" Camilla mocked, spilling a cup of coffee over my head and entire body. Robert walked behind her, grinning.

"Whafoolish behaviour, you can't caution your girlfriend." I snapped back at Robert who was following her from behind.

"Have you died accepting he's my boo now?" Camilla teased. "Why didn't you do this all those while?" Then with a lowering of her brows to enhance her dreamy eyes, she sneered.

"You poor bitch, who got the guts to talk to an Alpha's mate like me?" She wasn't threatening, yet her teases were a hundred times more dangerous.

I bent, about to get a broom to throw at her when I raised my face, she was nowhere to be found. Robert had also disappeared, I couldn't stop the laughter which erupted in me. As I was about to finish my work, my wolf made me drop the broom and other tools I was using.

"Go to the late Beta's room and gather some evidence." I didn't ask why, this is the main reason I didn't refuse Alpha Charles as he had no real control of me from the cottage I lived in.

I climbed up the staircase leading up, it was dark and without the sight of anyone. One thing that made me so glad with my spot of work, the garden was always located in the courtyard, and the window behind the end part of the garden was one of our rooms.

While tiptoeing up, I looked to the front and left, paying my ears closely if I would detect the footsteps of anyone and return quickly.

"Oh, goddess! I don't want to see the Alpha or anyone that will remind me of him!" This present moment took my mind to my second worst enemy. Robert. I paused, blinking my eyes at the memory of him and what he did to me, seeing him walk around with Camilla was like the stab of a dagger.

"Remember no one needs to see you!" My wolf warned as I stood in the middle of the hallway, forgetting myself. I tiptoed off without any sound like the turtle. I was heading straight to my parent's room, my dad. His bookshelves, especially. He must surely have proof of who killed Lady Devon.

As I entered inside of the room, I peeped to the sides, checking if I'd see anyone but I didn't. I raised my face high to the ceiling, grinning in great gratitude to the moon goddess.

"Once I find this evidence, I'll not hesitate to let the world know what kind of an Alpha we've got!" I swore, my wolf was my witness at this very moment. I bolted the door so no one would come in. I walked straight to his shelves of books, eighty per cent were academic books, three motivational and the rest were diaries. Different sets of diaries he had been writing about important events of his life for many years. The date is written as evidence.

While searching, I found one of the books with a brown cover. My wolf pressured me into opening it.

"The wicked Luna Hybrid. The mysteries she has caused." It was written by my dad, I flipped through the diary, it had a lot of things about this wicked woman. Her history, what happened behind my back was what I wanted.

The book was neither big nor medium, it was small so it could easily fit into the trousers under my clothes. I swore not to keep it lest someone stole it.

Coming to the pack estate every morning became my joy, like today my wolf was itching to get done other proof. Like yesterday I was gonna sneak in when Alpha Charles emerged in a swift, pulling me by the collar of my gown.

I peed in my pants as his heavy voice loomed over the corridor. "Didn't I warn you not to get anywhere apart from your designated place?"

I was just close to the staircase, thought caught, I was practising a lot down there in my mind wondering what to tell him. Camilla appeared from down the stairs.

"Alpha don't believe whatever she says!" She coaxed, climbing up. "If she wants to lie, I have a video of her tiptoeing to her parents' apartment." My heart seized.

She didn't say much when she pulled out her phone, tapping on it and scrolling down to where she must have seen the video. My legs fidgeted, I couldn't watch the Alpha see this and then pass judgment on me.

I wished the ground would just open and swallow me up!

Alpha Charles boiled with great anger after he finished watching the video, his bloody gaze cascaded on me, scorching my body with his sinister gaze.

"How dare you disobey my command?" He growled while staring at me, my lips fumbled, not knowing how to respond.

"Since you can't use this good opportunity I gave you, you're hereby banished from the pack forever!"

This was the worst, I couldn't visit my pack forever.
