A night with a stranger

Rhea's POV

I pressed my lips against each other, as I gulped down my seventh glass of alcohol.

You have to calm down, Miss" the bartender advised.

"Shut up. I don't need your advice, " I warned him sternly, extending my glass for another round.

Just as he was about to pour the next glass, screams erupted from the entrance of the club.

I snapped my neck in that direction, only to discover that the club had completely been taken over by rogues. The sounds of glass shattering as they invaded the whole place, their aim unknown to anyone, as they only caused havoc.

Dizziness which had aroused from my excessive drinking, quickly faded. I was now fully alert, and I tried to run away. But, before I could, one of the rogues grabbed me, flinging me across the room. I slammed my face so hard against the wall, I could swear I saw everyone in twos.

He stuck out his claws, ready to dig into my face, and I turned away quickly.

Just as he was about to succeed, another wolf twice his size lunged at him in mid-air, digging inot his face with his claws.

The rogue took two steps back before he tried to charge again. But, this second wolf was two steps ahead of him, launching an attack first, he managed to knock him to the ground, with blood gushing out of his mouth.

I took one more glance at this savior of mine, and my jaw dropped when I took in his features.

He was no ordinary wolf; he was a white wolf, which only indicated one thing. He belonged to the royal family.

Seeing one of their members on the floor like this, the other rogues turned, glaring at their attacker.

But his eyes emitted something more fierce than anger. I couldn't quite understand it, but it scared the living daylights out of me. They ran for their lives, leaving their friend behind.

Despite their exit, the club was still in chaos, as everyone scampered around in search of safety.

My savior quickly shifted to his human form and dragged me away.

"Where are you taking me?" I asked him.

By this time, I had become calm, and I was now overwhelmed by the influence of alcohol.

"Safety" he responded, his voice cold and dry.

I silently followed him, until we got to his car.

"I don't want to go with you" I frowned.

"Do you rather stay here and get wasted by these rogues?" He questioned.

I folded my hands, not knowing what to say. My life was already a complete waste, there wasn't a need to point it out. I silently got into the car, like an obedient puppy.

He drove off into the night, without saying a word. I looked at my phone screen, reading my boyfriend's message over again.

"I don't want any trouble with your father or the Alpha King. For this reason, I will have to reject you." His message tore my heart into pieces. I never knew my high school sweetheart, my mate, and the man I dreamed to marry was a coward.

I gasped in fear when the car came to a forceful halt.

My head almost collided with the car.

“Are you trying to kill me!” I was quick to raise my voice.

“If you want to die. I'd be more than happy to help you with that” his voice was cold.

Why is he so rude?

“Get out!” He ordered.

“Huh?” My eyes flustered out of confusion.

“Do you plan to stay in the car forever?” He asked me.

“No, you could be a little nicer, “ I insisted.

“Yeah, but I'd rather not” he rolled his eyes.

My blurry vision barely allowed me to observe the house properly. It looked so small, from the outside that it was almost suffocating.

I tried to walk into the house, but I kept falling. The strange man stood behind me, although I couldn't see him. I could tell that his eyes were fixed on me.

“Ahhh!” I screamed when he swept me off my feet.

“What are you doing?” I asked in almost a whisper.

“I can't wait for you all day” he responded, taking me into the house bridal style.

My heart was fluttering at this point. And I couldn't pull my eyes away from him, like a force was controlling me.

He tossed me on the bed like I was a nonliving thing.

“Ouch!” I winced in pain.

“Relax, the mattress is soft. You don't have to pretend like it's a log of wood” he teased me.

He was about to leave me when our necklaces became entwined. And that was when I noticed his features.

His blue eyes quickly reminded me of the ocean, and his lips were so full and curved that I felt like he had them worked on.

“They are natural,” he told me.

“Huh?” I became confused.

“You were guessing if I worked on my lips or not. They are natural” he said, managing to detangle our necklaces.

He was about to leave when I grabbed his collar.

“What are you doing?” He asked.

“Please don't leave me. I'm scared” I cried out, feeling a lump in my throat.

His eyes pierced mine, his look scrutinizing as though reading my mind.

“You weren't scared of being alone at the club. Why are you scared now?” He questioned.

“I don't know, please, just stay” I begged him.

He peeled my hands off his shirt, and I forcefully grabbed his shirt again. I accidentally tore off three buttons, leaving his chest bare.

I gulped, struggling to breathe, taking in the sight. I had never seen a man's chest in my life, yet I was so turned on.

I crossed my legs, trying to suppress the urge I was having. I knew I was under the influence, but at this point. I just didn't care anymore. Maybe, this could be my last happy moment.

He ran his hands through my hair.

“If you keep staring at me like that. Then, I might do something you don't like” he threatened.

I didn't mind at that point as I wrapped my hands around his neck, pulling him closer.

I gasped, when his lips brushed against my neck, holding on tightly to him.

“If you don't refuse now, then there is no going back” he warned.

My insides were tingling, and I could feel my body on fire. I couldn't even utter a word.

“I’ll take that as a yes,” he smirked.

I shut my eyes, allowing myself to drown in the moment.
