Chapter 7: Without An Invitation

Aria

The sunlight was blazing hot, leaving a burn on my skin.

I parked the truck outside the house and as I alighted from the truck to take out the goods I had gotten from the mall, I heard footsteps approaching from the entrance of the house.

I looked up, and it was Uncle Lance plodding towards me, holding onto his favorite tea cup. He wasn't wearing his shirt. His abs were exposed. His shorts were tight, shielding his massive member from my view.

“Fuck it!" I mumbled in a low voice. As he got closer, I forced a smile to shield the naughty thoughts going on inside my head.

“You're drinking tea by this time of the day? Please tell me there is a reason for that," I teased, wearing a low smile, and he rolled his eyes.

“Aria, give me one reason I should explain myself to you," he said, and I giggled.

“Well, maybe because I'm asking and you owe me an explanation. Yes?”

I watched him roll his eyes. “Whatever, young lady. You've got a visitor. I think you will like this one though. He is cute and very entertaining," he said, forcing a smile.

Beneath his smile, something else stirred. I could see jealousy hanging on his features, and no matter how much he tried to mask his thoughts, they were all over his face.

Looking into his eyes, I furrowed my brow deeply. “Who is this person? Do they have a name or something?" I asked confusedly. I wasn't expecting a visitor anytime soon. Who could it be? “Oh, Jeremy!" I spoke out loud.

“I swear to God I'm gonna kill…” I snapped but Uncle Lance's voice cut me short. "It's not Jeremy. How about you go in and find out for yourself?" He said, and I looked at him.

A part of me never wanted to. I saw his jealousy and I wished I could reassure him that I would choose him first before anyone else. But I wouldn't dare say those words to him.

I mean, where is my dignity? My pride? A girl in my class, I had all it takes to get any guy I wanted. I was fucking pretty, let alone, my wealth. Yet, here I was, finding it difficult to fuck an older man.

I snapped out of my thoughts. “Yeah, I'll… umm I'll be going inside,” I said in a low voice. I turned with my goods in my hands and I plodded towards the door.

My legs couldn't carry me faster. I walked gently, one step at a time until I got to the door. I entered the lavish sitting room, and I saw a figure at the other end of the room, busy with a video game.

I entered and as I approached, my jaw dropped when he turned around and looked at me. “Liam!?" I screamed with my mouth wide open.

“Hey baby," Liam called and jumped from the sofa. He threw his game control on the sofa and came towards me. He pulled me into his chest and I rested my head on his shoulder, but I was confused.

He kissed my forehead and drew backward, staring directly into my face.

“Dude, what are you doing here?” I asked as I couldn't hide the shock on me. I wasn't expecting him yet, even though he told me a few days ago that he would be coming.

“I'm here for you, baby." He said, wearing a wild grin. Immediately, the door opened and I heard Uncle Lance walk in behind us.

I turned around and saw Uncle Lance and I turned back to Liam. “Hold on! You're here for me? Like you've come for the holidays like you said?" I asked curiously. I couldn't hide the suspense bubbling inside me.

“Of course, monkey. Don't worry, it'll be fun in Florida till the holiday is over," he said and I froze. My eyes widened and I saw Uncle Lance swallow nervously. His expression changed, and I knew he wasn't happy to have Liam around. Well, neither was I.

How on earth will I get Uncle Lance when my best friend is always around me poking his nose around?

“Oh my God! Liam, this is very bad timing. I mean why didn't you tell me before coming?" I asked, my voice echoing across the room.

"Don't worry, baby. I wanted to surprise you. I knew this would be your reaction, which was why I got us this, to calm your nerves,” he said and brought out two tickets for tonight's concert by One Direction.

He knew One Direction to be my favorite music star. He was thoughtful enough to get the tickets to make me happy, and it was one of the reasons I would never stop loving Liam.

He wasn't just my best friend, he was a protector to me, and he had shown me how caring he was constantly.

Staring at his tickets, I didn't know how to refuse his kind gesture. I couldn't even make time for myself to get a ticket, despite knowing that One Direction was coming to Miami tonight.

I swallowed hard and forced a smile to confront him. A short silence fell into the aisle, and I turned around and my gaze met with Uncle Lance's. I saw the look in his eyes, the disappointment was so obvious.

I saw him glare at Liam with sheer hatred. I knew he was jealous. I wished I could walk up to him and reassure him that it was nothing.

“Uncle,” I called, snapping him out of his dubious state, and he almost jumped on me. I couldn't believe he wasn't aware of my presence before him.
