Chapter 3

Ava's POV

"Uh?" A sharp pain jolted me awake and the sweet scent of rose drifted into my nostrils promptly making me conscious of my surroundings.

"Where's this place?" A weak voice sounded in my ears and I recognized they were mine.

What happened after I passed out?

I stared at the wall-decorated room which was completely different from the one I lived in.

"This is heaven?" I muttered, staring at the beautiful vessels and golden paintings on the walls and ceiling. The ground has a golden rug with white in the middle.

"I shouldn't be here," I muttered and turned to leave when I heard some movements.

I slowly turned around and noticed a pair of sea-blue eyes staring at me with confusion in them.

"When did you wake up?" He muttered, scratching the morning beard on his jawline.

"How did I get here?" I asked in alarm quickly moving further away from him but he caught up instantly.

"Don't be frightened little one. I mean no harm to you." He said softly to me but that didn't end the fear I felt.

Did he by chance kidnap me? But why would he do that?

"Are you sick? Did you get hurt anywhere?" He proceeded to touch my face but I slapped his hands off.

"Do not come closer to me," I said through gritted teeth. I looked around hoping to see any object I could use for my defense.

"At this rate, you will hurt yourself," He said softly to me but I wanted to buy some of his crap.

"What am I doing in this room?" I asked, completely suspicious of the sudden change of his character.

"Have you forgotten so soon? Don't you remember? I am your mate," He gently said and proceeded to touch me but I slapped his hands off.

"Don't you dare call me that!" I yelled angrily at him but got distracted when I smelt two presence in the room.

We both turned our heads towards the new arrivals and I was dazzled by their presence.

" My daughter," The golden-haired woman ran forward and pulled me into a tight hug.

Everything happened in a flash and I wasn't able to avoid her. Who's she?

"I am Anastasia, the Luna of the Silver Pack. I am your mother, child," Her mesmerized almond-green eyes stared at me with love in them.

She gently cupped my face and smiled bitterly.

" I am so sorry that I haven't been there ever since you grew to this stage." She sniffed and pulled me into a hug again.

My body went stiff and my tongue was tied. I slowly looked up to see the cold man with a ruthless aura screaming around him standing a few feet away. I saw no expression on his face but the sea blue eyes as that of an ocean stared calmly at me.

Is he my father? Alpha Zeth?

I have never seen any of the royal families apart from Princess Isabella before.

"Alpha Zeth," Ethan's cold voice jolted me back to reality.

"Alpha Ethan thank you for showing concern for my daughter's health. Your people await your presence outside," Alpha Zeth said in a noble and calm voice.

"I can't leave so soon. I still have a business to clear out," Ethan replied then turned towards my direction.

I felt my heart sink as I knew what was about to come out of his dirty mouth.

"Your daughter, Ava is my mate and I would like us to discuss what to do next," He proposed and my heart dropped.

"Never!" I yelled angrily.

" Have you forgotten that you rejected the mate bond already? I will never be your mate!" I yelled angrily but froze when I saw the conflicting emotions in Alpha Zeth's eyes.

"She's my daughter. I will talk with her but right now we have a family reunion to make. We will address this issue later in the day," Alpha Zeth said in a calm tone.

Alpha Ethan stood up gently and then stared at me with those beautiful eyes of his.

"I will see you later, mate," He smirked and then proceeded to leave but I quickly stopped him.

"Wait!" I said and he stopped and turned to me.

"Are you being sincere about it? You want me to be your mate?" I asked, getting a little anxious by his reply. I hope he wasn't interested in me because of my new title.

"I am sincere about it," He monotonously replied and my heart weaves a bit.

"Are you doing this because of the new title?" I asked but he smiled. A smile that didn't reach his eyes.

"I am doing this because I want us to get married," He calmly replied and I clenched my hands tightly.

"Don't you dare," I said through gritted teeth.

"It can't be avoided," He smirked, then said, "You will only bring war to your people if you refuse this little alliance. Besides, I see you as one worthy to be my mate." He said arrogantly then proceeded to leave.

"I will not marry you!" I refuted his words. I am not going to marry someone as arrogant and cold as him.

"Then expect war in 3 days in your pack," He said then walked out of the room.

Alpha Zeth's cold expression suddenly turned into a warm one.

"Child," Luna Anastasia gently cupped my face moving me towards her and conflicting emotions raging in my heart.

"It's fine if you want to reject his offer but as the Pack's real princess and our daughter. You have the key to stop his plans from destroying the pack." She said,

"In all decisions you make my daughter, your mother and I will always support you no matter the cost," Alpha Zeth added and I felt more confused by all of these.

Everything happened so fast that I am still struggling to keep up with everything.

"I can't," I muttered but they held my hands and smiled at me but… I felt strange.

I wasn't used to this kind of love.
