Chapter 7

Writer's POV:-

"Hey, why are you shouting??" Sejal asked a frozen Diksha, who gasped loudly putting both her palms on her mouth.

"I Messed up big time, man!" Diksha said with a panic-stricken face. She just can't believe what she saw a few minutes ago. How on the earth can she act so recklessly?

"What has happened, will you tell me something? Why are you reacting like you have seen a ghost, and who was it on the phone??" Sejal asked again, looking at her frozen demeanour.

Diksha was zoned out and didn't hear Sejal properly. Her mind was still processing all the things that had happened a few minutes ago.

"Hmm?" She asked Sejal absentmindedly.

"What hmm? will you do the honour… tell me what happened?" Sejal asked, shaking her shoulders.

"What have I done! Shit man! What should I do, all this ... It is all your fault... Yes, it has happened because of you." Diksha angrily pointed a finger at her friend and gritted her teeth.

"My fault?" Sejal asked with a confused face; firstly, she just couldn't understand a single thing that was happening, secondly, Diksha was blaming her for something she wasn't even aware of…

"Hey, firstly you're not telling me what has happened and above this, all you're talking about is my fault. Which fault? What mistake did I make?" Sejal gritted her teeth in annoyance.

She was completely frustrated by now as Diksha wasn't answering any of her questions, testing her patience.

Then Diksha explained everything from last night to a few minutes ago.

Sejal gasped loudly. She hit Diksha on her head. And said gritting her teeth.

"I didn't prank anything idiot. You dumbhead!"

"So what, I did not know. I thought, like other pranks, this is also some new pranks of yours. All this is your fault neither did you prank like this nor did I do such foolishness." Diksha said, rubbing her head where Sejal hit her.

Sejal again hit her head this time twice with as much force as she could apply.

"Stop hitting you mad girl," Diksha yelled, getting all frustrated now.

"You stop shouting. You act like a donkey first, then blame it on me, as my mistake! Wow man… and what's all this my pranks only, as if you never pranked. you are no saint here." Sejal scolded her, reminding her of all the times she pulled some stunts or played pranks on Sejal.

"So what, I don't do such calls-and-messages pranks..." Diksha said in her defence, still trying to win the almost lost verbal battle with her best friend.

Sejal was glaring at her hard...hard enough to bury someone 6 feet under the ground.

"You called an unknown number that too, a video call without even giving it a second thought. You call me duffer, right? But actually, it's you who is a real duffer and idiot. You Could have asked me for at least cross checking, but no madam wanted to become superwoman by flopping my non-existing plan." Said Sejal gritting her teeth as she was feeling extreme rage in her nerves, on Diksha's stupidity.

"Yaar, as now the damage has already been done already, don't scold at least..." Diksha said with a crying face. Little did she know this was going to be a life-changer event for her.

"Do you even understand the gravity of the situation? God knows who he was!? What type of person he was? What if he comes out as a criminal? haww, that too the most wanted one type." Sejal said with a tensed face.

Now, Diksha was also equally tense. The tension was visible on their faces.

Though she was putting up a brave front, but, was groaning mentally over the idiotic thing she did without realising. She didn’t see things with this perspective especially before initiating the conversation with a complete stranger.

Trying to calm herself and her - already negative - mind, she inhaled a deep breath.

"Don't scare me like this, at least," Diksha said, suggestively.

"If you think it is scary, then you could have thought before doing all these idiotic things. Could have applied whatever little brain you have!" Sejal scolded again.

Diksha thought for a moment and her face appeared full of angered expressions the very next second. She found a perfect reason to vent out her anger.

"What the hell does he think of himself?" She said in rage. Indeed she was infuriated, but, more on her own stupidity, albeit reluctantly.

Next, she did something unbelievable that left Sejal shocked.
