Let me talk with the boys!

The days following that had the boys all sulking, Noah tried telling his dad jokes to lighten up the mood but the guys weren’t having it. I stopped the butler from sending their meals to their rooms so now they only come down to eat but spent most of the time in their rooms writing the lyrics. I spoke to Hugo about the change of mood but he assured me it was temporal. True to his words their mood soon normalized as they came down to practice together.

The girls came into the base to go through lyrics together, it was their first meet up after the producers had sent the beats to the both groups.

They were in the living room going over the lyrics, I had instructed the butler to get refreshment for all of them.

An hour later, I was sitting on the couch when Mia approached me.

“Hi, I would like a refill.” she stretched out an empty glass to me.

“That’s not a problem, just go to the kitchen, the juice box is in the fridge” I directed her. But she stood there with an irritated look on her face.

“Aren’t you the help?” she asked folding her hands across her chest. The what? Is she for real? I decided against giving her a sarcastic response.

“No Mia. I’m not, but if you need the help then you can call them” I pointed at the telecom.

“If you are not the help then who are you?”

“why all these questions, if I may ask?” I said standing up.

“If you’re not the help then why are you here? What are you doing here?”

“The last time I checked you weren’t a resident of this house, what gives you the audacity to question who I am?” I asked trying to match up with her.

“whoo…whoo whoo… what’s going on here?” Wyatt walked toward us just when the room was getting tensed.

Mia switched from annoying to sweet immediately she sighted him.

“Nothing serious Wyatt, we are just having a friendly discussion” she said smiling at him, if I didn’t know better I would have thought she was flirting with him.

“That looked like more than a friendly conversation” he turned to me and raised a brow but I didn’t have the strength to argue with anyone so I decided to let it go.

“It’s nothing Wyatt, sorry we distracted you, I will get the butler to bring in refills” I walked away from them into the kitchen.

A few hours later, the Fantastic four had left and the boys were in the living room playing video games, I sat outside on the porch, I enjoyed the serenity and peace being alone brings that was until I heard someone enter the porch.

“Hi, Olivia.” It was Aiden

“Hi, aren’t you playing with the boys?” I was wondering what he was doing here.

“That’s not fun anymore, I keep beating the guys but they keep saying I cheat so I don’t bother anymore.” he said with a shrug.

“Oh really, you are that good huh?”

“Let’s just say, I haven’t met anyone that beat me before.” he shrugged again with a smug on his face. Oh how I would love to wipe away that smug from his face.

“Not even on a single game?”

“Not a single game, in fact I’m ready to wager anything that nobody in this house can beat me.” Oh this was getting interesting.

“But I think I can.”

“You think you can do what exactly?” he asked.

“Beat you, I think I can beat you.”

“That’s very funny.” he said looking away.

“I’m glad you think this is funny, how about a bet?”

“A bet? Are you that desperate to lose to me?”

“You must really think highly of yourself”

“I do actually”

“Okay less talk more action” I led him into the living room. After informing the guys of our bet they were excited, I think they were more excited to watch me lose, they wouldn’t pass on such chance.

The game started and Aiden took the lead, the guys were cheering him on but little did they know this was my winning tactics, I had allowed Aiden win twice just to understand his fighting strategy, but enough of that I was ready to go for the kill.

I pressed hard on the cursor and navigated through the challenges of the game, the cheering from the boys died down as they noticed the change, I looked over to Aiden who was playing so hard I swear I saw him break a sweat.

He threw some hurdles at me in bids to slow me down, one thing Aiden didn’t know is I had played this game since I was 12, I knew everything about this game, I could predict his every move which gave me an advantage, I soon won him with 5 points effortlessly. He looked at me in shock, the living room was quiet because the boys were speechless until Jake broke the ice.

“Dude, did she just beat you dude?” he playfully pulled Aiden shoulders

“Get your hands off me”

“Oh come on, don’t be a sour loser” I said trying to lighten up the mood. The guys soon got bored of watching me win over and over again. We ended the game a while later with me winning with 10 more points.

“Just tell me this. Where did you learn to play so well?” he asked.

‘Well, Mathilda and I grew up in the same foster home, our foster parents were cool, really cool, they took care of seven of us, Mathilda and I were the only girls, so surrounded with 5 boys we didn’t get enough TV time, it was either the boys were playing video games or they were watching a football match, so we had to learn how to play just to get enough YV time, soon I became a pro.”

“And Mathilda?”

“She soon lost interest and found solace in the pages of romance novels”

“Couldn’t you have told me that a while ago?”

“And pass on the opportunity to beat your ass? Hell No” I said laughing.

“I’m sure you enjoyed watching me gloat like a fool” he laughed too.

“oh, you weren’t that bad”

“So, you won, what’s your wish?” oh that, I even forgot that.

“I only wish that you and the boys would treat me a little better” I shrugged moving my hair away from my face.

“Are you saying we do not treat you right?’ he asked. Was he kidding me?

“Really? You guys have been giving me the cold shoulders since I got here, I know it’s not conventional but it is what it is?” he looked at me for a while before looking away.

“I’m sorry, I didn’t know we were that bad.” he pulled his hands through his hair.

“I will talk to the boys, hopefully they would ease up a bit.”
