chapter 2

The next day. I went to school still wanting to see her, so I asked for my driver to take me there right on time so I could stand in transport terminal. trusting that every one of the school transports will show up. However, sadly again. I waited and delayed until the school chime rang, still with no luck until I surrendered and went to class, just to be astounded by her lovely face sitting in the front row.

"we are in the same class, but I never noticed her before." I thought to myself as I felt my heart beat increased. suddenly I was abruptly frightened to confront her.

"It's now or never Hensley, it's now or never." I expressed in my mind as I attempted to stroll to her table, just to hear our irritating educator yells as she entered "Everybody in their seats! Everybody in their seats!"

I swear since that day I started to despise miss Merlyn. I strolled to the excess seat in the back, irritated and didn't focus the whole class, keeping my eyes in the distant front desk area. the second the ringer rang, I quickly rushed to it.

"Hello." I remember, I heard myself saying. with a delicate terrified voice and she pivoted and looked at me.

"Hi." she replied, with a slight grin. making me more terrified.

"I... I brought your jersey." I stuttered as I gave her the blue and yellow jersey, and she acknowledged it turning her eyes to my face.

"It's washed." I proceeded, with as yet trembling in fear.

"Thank you." I heard her say with a little voice, as she grinned again and I quickly got somewhat familiar and grinned back, discovering the confidence to try and introduce myself.

"I'm Hensley...what is your name?"

"My name is Elora." Her face shimmered again. I ended up staring without acknowledging, just to hear whom I presumed to be her friend yell "It's geography Elora, Mr Smith will not permit us in if we are late!"

Hearing that, she quickly stood up and got her school bag and reading material in her table. leaving me standing there like an imbecile. that is the point at which I remembered that, I also had economics period to attend.

I never enjoyed any subjects in secondary school, however that day I recall that I went to the following class grinning and surprisingly took part. “

I paid attention to him mindfully as he talked. learning his affection towards the young lady with each word he expressed. It was undeniably beautiful. admirable on the off chance that I should add... with each sentence he spoke, I turned out to be more keen to hear more.

"Now that you had found her, would you say you were cheerful? Was your goal complete?" I asked as yet seeing his handsome face which went from pale toward the start of the session, to somewhat splendid with each word he let out. Hensley stood up pointing toward the north of the room.

“yes I was happy. it was like every time I saw her she gave me a reason to want to see her once more. Presently my goal was even more greater, I needed to draw nearer to her. be her friend, on the off chance that I could... and... I did, by continuously warming my way in. beginning by making it a point to pass by her desk area and greet her every maths period.

Maths was every day and that was a benefit for me. I would proceed to greet her and she would welcome me with a grin each time, filling my heart with joy.

I abhorred maths previously, but now I was starting to like it.

However, greeting her alone was not enough. I yearned for more, I needed to be nearer to her. but I didn't have the foggiest idea how to do so, until one day, an opportunity showed up and I grabbed it with two hands.

Our maths educator recommended we pair ourselves and work on an assignment. I was not someone to lift my hand in class, but rather that day I was the first.

"Yes Hensley!" acknowledged miss Merlyn as she pointed at my lifted hand.

"I would like to work with Elora if that is OK!" I said, sacredly not knowing what to expect.

"Agreed. Yet, only if she agrees to work with you." responded miss Merlyn as she looked at Elora. surprisingly Elora agreed. astonishing me again. prior to hearing one of her companions nearly ruin my one chance.

"But I always work with Elora!" She yelled, making me nearly stand up and attempt to persuade Elora, prior to hearing miss Merlyn shouts "You can always work with another person Jennifer!" Furthermore, I was then eased.”

He pivoted once more. Confronting me from the north corner he was standing on, staring at the rooftop as he clarified. and his eyes lit up once again, making me stand up from the seat I had been perched on.

"Now you had managed to get this chance, how did you use it? What did you do to accomplish your new goal of drawing nearer to her?" I inquired, as I strolled towards the middle, looking at him and he somewhat grinned.

“I was a child indeed, yet I was smart. I caused it to appear as I had a crisis and I was unable to remain and do the assignment in class. So I could invite her over to my place.

"Elora my father requested that I return early today so we could go visit my sick grandma. I can't remain and do the task, so I was contemplating whether you can come over tomorrow at my place so we could do it. or maybe I could come over at your place. Whichever way you want it." I stuttered, standing close to her desk area. Elora looked at me and laughed.

"It's OK. I will come to your place, give me your address." She said.

I noted down the address with a grin, prior to rapidly surging out of the class before she changed her mind.

Maths period was last every Friday. It was presently after school. with that, I raced to the transport terminal, awaiting my driver so I could proceed to get ready for my huge day Tomorrow.

Showing up at the transport terminal, I found my driver already waiting for me. It was like it was my lucky day, everything was working out in a good way for me, even my driver whom was in every case late after school was early.

"Cyril!" I yelled his name cheerfully, as I made my way to the front seat, astonishing him.

"I see your day was incredible Mr Williams!" My driver expressed as he laughed. making me laugh also for I knew why he was saying that. Cyril realized I never sat in the front seat, at whatever point he demands, I would disclose to him I required my own space. and majority of the days I didn't even greet him when I entered the vehicle.

"Indeed it was.” I responded with an authentic grin, astounding Cyril considerably more. But since he knew my states of mind changed around faster than a leopard changes its colour, he didn't try to pose more inquiries. He just grinned and faced the road.

Showing up home, I found one of the helpers preparing lunch in the kitchen as usual. My parents were forever traveling, it was always Only me and the helpers in the house.

"It's a beautiful day isn't it?" I smiled at her, running upstairs.

leaving her to yell "It is to be sure exquisite Mr Williams; I am even making your favourite dish today!"

Furthermore, I snickered hearing that as I moved toward the passage not far from my room.

Walking inside my room, I tossed my school bag on the bed. Connected my computer games and began to play. I knew computer games were the solitary thing that could cause time to appear to be moving quick, as I was excited and couldn't wait for the next day to come.

and they did. within a couple of minutes, I was in the realm of villains and robots. before I knew it, it was 8pm and I was prepared for bed.

the next day, I woke up so early and ready. Hoping Elora wouldn’t disappoint me. I sat tight for quite a long time on a chair, in my father’s beautiful white decorated family lounge without her appearance, and exactly when I was going to give up and go to my room.

I heard an entryway ringer, ring and one of the assistants offered to open, however I rejected and disclosed to them I would get it. so I hurried to the entryway and open, just to meet her whom I was expecting in a wonderful black and red dress which had no shoulders on and only contacted her knees. dark push ins with her hair tied upwards in a ponytail. I was dressed in my black and white grid print tapered pants, white stand collar button front shirt with black white matching all-star shoes.

"Elora hello. " I happily greeted as I cleared a path for her to come in.

"Hi. Sorry for being late I was lost." She responded as she walked in.

"No you are not late, you are exactly on schedule." I lied as I shut the entryway and pivoted confronting her.

" I'm sorry that you got lost." I continued.

"It's alright... your house is delightful." Expressed Elora as she moved her brown beautiful eyes around my father’s big-sized dazzling white lounge built and I grinned at her.

"Thank you. My room is this way, follow me." I instructed.

Elora did as I said. Passing by the dining, she greeted the helpers before we climbed the steps and went to my room.

"Wow you likewise have a beautiful room." She expressed again, making me laugh sacredly as I looked at her lovely face. while she was occupied with pondering around my blue painted room which looked terrible to me, she met the gamepad on the mat.

"Can I play?" she asked with a low voice.

I looked at her hesitant, not certain in case she was not simply testing me to check whether I was serious about school and would request that she do the assignment first.

"Yah." I ended up responding without thinking. Just to discover that it was not a test. Elora went on and took the gamepad.

"Come join... show me how to play." She cheerfully said. I looked at her again, hesitant prior to participating.

We ended up playing around the entire day. while she told jokes and we snickered the entire time. We even ended up doing the assignment last minutes, afterwards before she left.

We discovered that we shared such a lot in common, and since that day chose to become friends whom later became inseparable best friends. From eighth grade to twelfth grade.

We would go to school dances together. Dinner invitations when my folks were occasionally around, and even going to school trips together.

Over the years I discovered her angelic and kind heart. She was continually sharing and loving towards everybody. and that clarified why she offered me her jersey the first day when she saw me. It was simply in her nature to help people. and that… that made me fall in love with her, despite the fact that she didn't know back then.

I would consistently request that my driver proceed to get her each day, until she ended up quitting to pay for her taxi, since she realized she was simply squandering, as I would go get her every day.

and we would sing crazy songs along the way. every morning making Cyril giggle alone in the front seat.

“you too always waste your energy dancing the whole journey to school. You should be saving it for periods like mathematics.” joked Cyril. Making both Elora and I to chuckle.

“we have too much energy from the junk we eat, so we just decreasing it a little. You know, warming up before the boring periods. Besides who would resist dancing to the king of pop” responded Elora still chuckling. hearing that I looked at her and chuckled at well.

“tell me you are not talking about Justin Bieber.” Cyril said, turning his head to the back seat as he heard the Justin Bieber song that was hitting up the car.

“what do you mean? Of course she is.” I jumped in and tried to defend Elora, just to hear Cyril mock me as well;

“oh no, not you too. man you gay.”

I was so protective of her... loving and caring yet what I adored most was how I was free... how she allowed me to be free around her.

Yes, I had other friends like Sean yet none of them compared with her, nor was I even still close with them like I was to her... she was my best friend and I was her little hen. that was my Nick name from her…

Later when we were in matric we chose to apply in a similar university and were both accepted. furthermore, that is when things... when things changed… I will say”
