Chapter 6
It was still a whole month left for Rayaan Bhai to be back. Hana’s father applied on her behalf in some easy and practical fields in Islamabad universities and colleges. Hana still insisted on staying home and not studying anything. She was content with her life. Well, not that content but still she wanted to stay at home. She had a firm believe that the studies and education that is provided in Pakistan institutes has nothing to do with practical life. Her opinions clashed a lot with the common society and she knew that too that’s why she never gave her opinions.
There were many fields with practical work but the only field that Hana thinks will be easy and beneficial for her was Graphic designing.
It was Hana’s test for BS Graphic Designing after three weeks. Hana was very restless because she knew that she cannot pass this exam as the test was of drawing. And hana could not draw, not even for the life of herself.
“but how am I gonna clear this test Misha? You are not understanding! You know na I am very bad in drawing. You tou farigh ho gayi ho parhai say shaadi ker k pr mera kiya? Me tou soch rahi hn k me b shaadi kr leti hn. Huh! (You have gotten free from these studies after your marriage but what about me? I am thinking of getting married too! Huh!)” Hana whines and complained to her one and only friend Mishaal.
“ab esi b baat nhi h. Tmhay pata h na k Asad mjhay agay parhnay pr force kr rahay hain. Me b agay admission lenay lagi hn. Wesay me to barhi khush thi k meri shaadi ho rahi h or parhai say jaan chut rahi pr nhi! Meri or tmhari kismet me kaha ye luxury! Hum to hain hi bohot unlucky! Sachi yar! (Now that’s not true! You know what, Asad (Mishaal’s husband) is forcing me for futher studies too! I am also getting admission this year! By the way, I was so happy during my marriage! I was thinking that I am finally getting rid of all these studies but no! you and I are not distined for this luxury! We are the unluckiest people! Seriously!)” misha shared this news and complained along with Hana. Both of the friends thought that they are the most unlucky people in the whole world.
But that’s not the case as they were just being childish. They don’t know what many people are facing. They don’t know that there are many people that are dying to be in their place or that there are many people that are working day and night just to fill their stomachs. They were just being the spoilt brats that were going to see the reality very soon.
Aside from that, Mishaal got married when they were giving their 2nd year exams. The marriage was very unexpected and sudden but when Allah wills none can do anything.
Mishaal and Hana had been together for a long long time now. They had been friends since they were in play-group. They are diaper fellows and they make jokes about it often too. It’s been 15 years since their friendship. They are very close friends. They share everything with each other. Their bond was stronger than sisters.
Mishaal tried to sooth her friend on phone and said; “Hana please yar! Don’t fret! You can do it yar! There is nothing that my genius friend is not able to do. I know that! And I am also going to be there for you during your exam. We will enjoy whole day after your exam and have lots of ice cream, chaat and golgappay! You just think about the mouth-watering treats and not about the exam as I know you will pass it too with flying colors. Have faith in Allah! He is the best of the planners!”
After hearing the name of delicious treats and foods, Hana excitedly agreed and forgot all about her nonexistent drawing skills and talked some more with Misha. Mishaal knew about Hana’s obsession with food so she said all this to distract her from her tensions.
Both of them talked for over an hour and then cut the call. Hana forgot all about her upcoming doom and started a new novel that she downloaded earlier.
