3) Good morning, I am the new assistant

"Leslie!!! I got a call to schedule an interview with Findtransfer!!! Aaaahh they liked my resume!"

Elly was not looking forward to it anymore! As she ended the call with Ms. Lucy from Findtransfer Corp she had to immediately call her dearest friend Leslie and inform her.

"Woow!!! Great Ms. Sanders! When is the big event?"

"They confirmed it for me in four days, Friday morning at h.10.00 I have to go to the head office for the interview! Hopefully they are looking for a good position so I can show my knowledge and dedication to this job...and hopefully I can grow in this company and get into administration...I will try my best to get to the top!"

"That's my girl! Always this way I want you! Head high and determined to the core!"

Elly was super excited, so much so that she let out a little scream in the fast-food bathroom where she had been hiding to answer her cell phone.

Within seconds Ron arrived to figure out what had been and Elly in her mind cursed, thinking that before long maybe her life would finally change and she could leave this damned workplace once and for all.

The week passed quickly thankfully.

Friday came, she asked for a day off so she could be calm and focused on what she would have to face.

The night before she took a relaxing bath, a nice facial cleansing, and chose a simple outfit, a gray knee-length pencil skirt with a slight slit in the back and a pearl-colored silk blouse, to top it off a high black belt that perfectly outlined her slim waist and a black 8-cm heel pump.

Elly was a rare hidden beauty.

She had slightly wavy dark brown hair, sky-blue eyes, a fleshy mouth, a face with delicate features, and a stunning physique, 5'5" tall with curves and proportions to the point. She just didn't like to be flashy or attract attention.

She always dressed in loose clothes, rarely wore makeup, and always kept her hair up.

Unfortunately, her experiences with the male sex had not been positive....

In high school, for what little she attended them to then go to work early, she had had a boyfriend who seemed to be interested in only one thing: getting her into bed. Another brief affair she had with a work colleague eventually found out that he had hooked up with her because of a bet he had made with his friends. The last one he thought he was starting to feel something serious about, he found out he was actually also with someone else.

Eventually she arrived at the age of 26 still single and with no hope of finding a man who would love her for her character, her head and not for her beautiful body and that's all.

She set her alarm for 7:00 a.m., got up, had a good nutritious breakfast, put on her makeup well, did a simple soft bun and got dressed. Today she wanted to look her best! Nothing was to go wrong. Today aesthetics would also play its part.

She took a cab and at h.9.45 was already in front of the Findtransfer Corp. building. Her legs were trembling and she could feel the excitement growing with each step toward that glass door that led her toward the reception desk.

She approached the girl behind the black marble counter showing her the 10 a.m. appointment email

"Good morning I am Elly Sanders and I have a 10 a.m. appointment with Ms. Lucy for a job interview."

"Good morning Ms. Sanders, just a moment I'll check....si correct, I'll leave you the card to get in, go to the 18th floor and leave this paper at the front desk you will see there....good luck "

With a smile Elly thanked her and went through the turnstiles with the badge left for her by the receptionist.

She called the elevator as she looked around--many of the employees were young, probably many recent graduates, all in suits and ties, some with 24-hour suits others with a simple backpack. The women were more casual but still elegant. She thought it was time to downsize her wardrobe for the new job.

As she got on the elevator she pressed 18.... her heart began to beat wildly and she closed her eyes for a moment....

'Okay focus Elly, you have to show up determined, a woman who knows what she wants, professional....and stop fucking shaking!'

She arrived at the front desk and handed over the paper, the girl immediately escorted her to an office with a large oval black crystal table and leather chairs around it...

"Miss Sanders wait here for a moment, Ms. Lucy will be with you in a few seconds....good luck!"

'Okay....why is this already the second person here to say 'good luck' to me ?

With this question in his head he saw the door open again where they entered; a chubby lady with a big smile and nice face holding a packet of papers, a man in his 40s in a suit and tie with a half smile on his face and finally a tall man with dark brown hair and green eyes....breathtakingly handsome, with a serious and steadfast look.... although in the moment he was entered, perhaps emotion caused her bad jokes, but it seemed to her that he had a second's hesitation and a second too long before he took his eyes off her...

"Good morning! Ms. Sanders I am Lucy in charge of the personnel department, did you have any difficulty getting here?" said Lucy as he took a seat next to her.

"Good morning Ms. Lucy! Thank you for contacting me and for being available for this interview, I had no difficulty, the receptionists were very nice, thank you!" said Elly standing up making a slight bow and extending her hand to shake Lucy's.

"Mmmh very good handshake Ms. Sanders.... you can often tell a person by their grip and you give me the impression that you are very determined..." noted Lucy.

Elly smiled, nodding her head.

"Well! I'm Alan Ms. Sanders and I'm the deputy CEO...I'd say we can start the interview!" said the 40-year-old man, who spoke at one point and Elly realized that the crucial moment had arrived that could change her life for good...but how come the deputy CEO was also present?

The interview lasted almost half an hour, for Elly it seemed like an eternity...Lucy asked her several questions, but Alan asked her more and some of them seemed almost trickery...but she never lost sight of her goal and tried to stay focused at all times.

She kept wondering who it was instead, the other tall, handsome man who came in with Lucy and Alan, who kept staring at her throughout the interview without saying a word...he was dressed casually, maybe it was someone who was learning the job...he had a face she had seen before, but she could not remember where...maybe it was a coincidence...

The interview ended, they shook hands, and Lucy told her that they would evaluate her presentation and let her know if she was eligible to become the personal assistant of....CEO.

At those words Elly's eyes widened!

'The CEO's personal assistant????!!!!. Okay that I aspired to the administration department, but even the CEO's personal assistant... oh my God I really didn't expect that!!!'

Elly tried to remain impassive, even though she was about to explode inside, thanked and left the company.

As soon as she arrived home she immediately called Leslie telling her everything! She couldn't stand it anymore! She was happy but terrified at the same time! But she felt she had really done a good interview.

Three days later she got an email from Findtransfer Corp saying:

"Dear Ms. Sanders, After a thorough evaluation of the interview that took place and your presentation, we are pleased to inform you that you have been accepted by the company to perform the position of Personal Assistant to the CEO and look forward to a long-term partnership. We look forward to seeing you Monday morning at h.9.00, drop by my office. Sincerely Lucy"

Elly had made it!!!
