"Honey, I'm sorry. Just give me ten minutes and I'll be there, I promise." She spoke walking out of Dominos pizza and walked towards her car. She unlocked it and hopped in. "Just hurry up please." He sighed. "I will. Bye, I love you." She hurriedly hang up the phone and start the car.
She stepped on the gas, tapping her palms on the steering wheel impatiently. Her phone started ringing but she decided to ignore it, just to concentrate on drive. She stepped on the brake to stop when she saw a red light but the brakes weren't working.
She kept stepping on the brake but the car continued moving making her to hit a car in front of her. The last thing she remembered was hitting her head on the steering wheel and everything went dark.

"Help me with my accessories please," Aisha said completely annoyed. Ameenah helped her to put them on. The day was finally here; The day Aisha was finally going to marry and be taken to the love of her life.
"How do I look?" Aisha asked standing up from the stool and smoothing her fitted gown. "Like a bride." Ameenah felt emotional. "I'm so happy for you." Ameenah muttered hugging her best friend. "Thank you sister. I hope you get married soon."
"Well enough of this, let's head out." Aisha's Aunt, Laura urged her. Aisha was taken to her mothers room where the rest of her relatives were. "Oh Masha Allah my daughter looks beautiful." Inna, Aisha's mother commented getting up from the bed to hug her daughter.
"Mama." Aisha said, her voice shaking. "It's okay my dear, don't cry. You'll ruin your makeup." She placed a kiss on Aisha's forehead. "I love you."
"I love you too Ma."
"The knot has been officially tied." One of Aisha's cousin announced making her heart to flip. "Omg honey congratulations." Ameenah gave her a bear hug. All her friends and family congratulated her.
"Iyyeh. Mrs. A." Ameenah wiggles her brows at her. "Don't even start." Aisha snapped at her. "Easy tiger." Ameenah laughed.
Aisha excused herself from the room to answer a call which was definitely from Adam. She came back few minutes later.
"They're on their way." Aisha announced to her friends and cousins. "Uhmm is my makeup okay? Am I sweaty? I feel sweaty. How is my dress? It feels too tight! I can't breathe. It's so hot in here." She panicked, panting like a dog.
"Hey, hey Aisha calm down. You love him and he loves you. You were the one who brought him to your parents. You chose him to be your husband and now he is. And we all pray you made the right choice. So stop panicking. And you look beautiful." Ameenah tried to calm her down and it helped.
Aisha gave her a tight hug "What will I ever do without you meenoh?"
Few minutes later, Aisha received a call from Adam saying they were outside. "Now take a deep breath" Ameenah said and she did.
Aisha walked majestically out of the house with women yodeling. She tightened her grip on Ameenah's hand. "Hey easy!" Ameenah mumbled.
The bride, Ameenah and some of Aisha's friends walked towards where the groom and his men parked their cars.
He paused looking at his beautiful wife. "Ya Rahman." He breathed out. They kept staring at each other like they've never met before.
"Are you guys going to hug or what?" One of his friends interrupted. Ameenah looked at the friend. "Aamir!" She exclaimed, giving him her million dollar smile.
"Ameenah. What a coincidence!"
The newly weds finally decided to embrace each other making the all of them to scream.
Aamir and Ameenah excused themselves to talk.
"I never knew you know the bride." He said resting his back on one of the cars parked there. "Yeah she's my best friend." Ameenah replied giving him a tight lipped smile.
"So how have you been?" He questioned. "I've been great Alhamdulillah." She replied. "What about your admission?" He asked. "Oh yes I got in, to ABU, Zaria." She grinned. "Congratulations. I'm so happy for you." He grinned.
"Hey love birds sorry to interrupt but Aamir we have to take pictures now." Abubakar, one of the groomsmen interrupted.
They moved to where the rest were taking pictures. They took a lot of pictures with the bride and groom.
After the pictures, adam a moment with his wife before they left.

The beeping sound of the EKG was the only thing you could hear in the room. Her head was wrapped in a thick bandage.
Hajiya salamatu barged into the room wailing like a small girl who cant find her mother. "Innalillahi wa'inna ilaihir rajiun! My baby." Hajiya salamatu placed both her hands on her head.
"Ma'am you have to lower your voice please." The nurse said politely. Yasmeen's father dragged Hajiya salamatu out of the room.
When Bashir heard of the bad news he almost lost it. He can't lose her. Not just now. Not ever.
"Bashiru give me the keys lemme drive. You can't drive in this situation." Maama said wiping a single tear that rolled down her cheek. He gave her the keys without arguing and they drove straight to where Yasmeen was admitted.
He ran out of the car and head into the hospital. He met her parents at the reception. His heart got broken by the sight of Hajiya salamatu.
"She's going to be fine Insha Allah." Yasmeen's father assured him. "Can I see her?" He asked eager to see in what condition she's in.
He was directed to her room.
"Subahanallah." His heart swelled up in pain. "Yasmeen." He murmured holding her cold soft hand. A lone tear rolled down his cheek.
"She'll be fine Insha Allah." He felt someone's hands on his shoulders. "Maama I can't afford to lose her. I love her. So much."
"By god grace you will not lose her. We won't. She'll be back on her feet Insha Allah." Maama consoled. He nodded looking at Yasmeen who was peacefully sleeping.
"Let's keep praying for her."

"It didn't work goddamnit!" She stomp her feet on the floor. "We didn't know she would survive ma'am."
"How will you know?" She bayed. "How will you fucking know?"
"You can't kill her? Fine I will myself!" She seethed and sauntered out of the uncompleted building.

"Yes Adam I know and I'm truly sorry I didn't make it to your wedding. My fiancé got involved in an accident. Right now she's at the hospital." He swallowed hard. "Subahanallah! Why didn't you call and tell me?"
"And ruin your wedding? No! She has even started feeling better compared to last week."
"We'll come visit her tomorrow Insha Allah. Just tell me the name of the hospital and room."

The next day Adam and his wife Aisha showed up at the hospital Yasmeen got admitted. They were led to Yasmeen's room.
"Salamu alaykum." The couple greeted. "Waalaykumus salam" they chorused. Hajiya salamatu exchanged greetings with them before excusing herself leaving Bashir and Yasmeen with the newlyweds.
"Ya jiki?" Aisha asked Yasmeen giving her a smile. "I feel fine Alhamdulillah." She smiled weakly. "Ya gajiyan biki?" Yasmeen asked.
"Alhamdulillah."
Adam did the same, asking Yasmeen how's her health. "Your wedding will be in five months time?" Adam asked. "Yes, Insha Allah. Can't wait to marry the woman of my dreams." He looked at Yasmeen's pale face. She smiled sheepishly lowering her gaze.
"You have no idea how happy I am. My childhood friend is finally getting married." Adam said wiggling his brows at Bashir. "When will you ever be serious in your life? Aisha kina kokari."
She chuckled and shook her head. They chatted for a bit before leaving and promising they'll be back soon.
"How are you feeling now babe?" He asked examining her face. She nodded and smiled. "I can't wait to leave this place."
"You'll be out very soon." He assured. She sighed and nodded.
"Do you need anything?" He asked. "No I'm okay." She replied. "Thank you, for everything." She lazily smiled. He smiled back looking into the most beautiful pair of eyes he has ever seen.

"Please when will you be coming to Abuja. I miss your stupid face so much." Aisha whined slumping down on her bed. Adam chuckled looking at his crazy, adorable wife.
"Indo you just got married last week. Har kin fara missing dina?" Ameenah laughed. "Just tell me when are you coming to Abuja." She rubbed her temple. "Next month."
"What? No! That's too far."
"Well I'm sorry but you know Aunty won't allow me to come this soon. I'm not even sure if she'll allow me to come in a month."
"We'll come pick you up. Right baby?" She smiled sweetly at Adam. "Anything for my love." He kissed the tip of her nose.
"You guys are just so..." She trailed off. "I gotta go now and leave you two." She said and ended the call.
She sighed and tossed the phone that Aamir bought for her which she went through a lot from baba before he finally allowed her to keep the phone.
"Aamir" she murmured, a smile plastered on her lips. She wondered what he was doing that moment. Is he thinking about her like she always do? Why is she thinking about him when she knows she's not in love with him or anything? They're just friends.
Her phone interrupted her ocean of thoughts. Aamir.
"Hey beautiful."
"Hello handsome."
He chuckled by the way she called him handsome. "How are you beautiful?" He asked. "I'm fine Alhamdulillah. You?"
"As long as my beautiful lady is alright then I am too." She smiled sheepishly. "What are you doing right now?" She changed the topic.
"Tryna change the topic ayy?" He chuckled. "I'm on my way to your house. I'm going back to Abuja tomorrow Insha Allah so I want to see you." Hearing that really broke her heart. "Don't worry beautiful I'll be back in two weeks or before that."
"Okay then. I'll be waiting for you." She sighed still gloomy. "I know Someone's gonna miss me." He teased. "And who told you I'm going to miss you. Over my dead body." She rolled her eyes. He laughed making her a bit irritated.
"I'll miss you too, okay?" He muttered. "Now expect me in thirty minutes."
"Okay, till I see you." She cut the call and toss the phone on her mattress. She jumped down and ran to Aunty's room. "Meenoh." Aunty said looking at her daughter acting excited. "Waa maxay? (What is it?)" Aunty asked in Somali. "Aamir." She grinned. "What happened to him?" She looked up at her.
"Aunty zai zo neh (he's coming)" she murmured loud enough for Aunty to hear her while she closed her face with her palms. "Ikon Allah." Aunty laughed. "So that's why you've been acting all happy? Children of nowadays." Aunty shook her head.
"Auntyyy! Nothing is between us." Ameenah whined stomping her feet on the floor. "Keep deceiving yourself. Oya, Take this money." Aunty brought out some money. "Buy some drinks for him. And when he comes don't stay outside. Bring him into the living room. And be careful."
"Waad ku mahadsan tahay hooyada!" She squealed and ran out. She quickly wore her hijab and headed out to buy some refreshments for him.
On her way back she bumped into the last person on her mind. Aalee.
She gasped and quickly walked away. He blocked her way. "Please, Ameenah just listen to me. I've been waiting for you to come out."
"Please Aalee I want to go home." She murmured. "I want to apologize. For all the things I did." She quickly raised her head up to meet with his eyes. He knelt down "I'm really sorry. For all the troubles I caused you."
"Aalee I have to get going I'm in a hurry." She said and walked away. She walked into the house straight to the kitchen. She brought out a tray and set everything on the tray.
His call came in and she received it immediately. "Hey beautiful, I'm outside." He announced. "Okay give me two minutes.
She hurriedly went into her room and changed into a nice black abaya with a matching veil. She sprayed herself with some perfume before heading out.
He was leaning on his car arms crossed, with black Dior shades covering his mesmerizing eyes that she loves staring out. As if he read her mind, he removed the glasses smiling at her. Oh ya Allah, he's so breath taking. His white kaftaan made him looked 10x handsome than he is.
"Am I that handsome?" He interrupted. She looked away smiling sheepishly. "Let's go in." She muttered and turned. He trailed behind her and they went in.
"Aunty," She came into her room. "He's here." She fiddled with her fingers. "Okay kicemai Ina zuwa." Ameenah nodded smiling sheepishly and walked back to the living room.
"Aunty will be here in few," she was suddenly shy. "Please eat something" She offered.
"Salamu alaykum." Aunty came into the living room. He got off the couch and squatted to greet her.
"Please sit down and eat something." Aunty said nicely. He nodded "thank you Aunty."
She gave them some space and went back to her room.
"You look beautiful." He stared into her sparkling eyes. "Here lemme serve you something. What would you like maltina or fanta?" She knelt down close to the tray.
"Ameenah I'm in love with you."

"Nothing should go wrong please." She begged the nurse. "Ma'am don't worry I'll try my best. She's even alone right now, sleeping, so I'll quickly get in now and do your job."
Malika grinned from ear to ear. "I'll pay you double if the job is done." Malika opened her handbag and bought out a note of 500 hundred and handed it to the nurse.
With shaky hands, she collected the note and stuffed it into her pocket before leaving right after assuring nothing was going to go wrong.
Malika walked into her car happily. "I told you bashir, you'll be mine."
