Chapter IX: I'm Such an Ugly Person With You
I was putting on my skinny jeans when my phone started to vibrate on my dresser.
With a sigh, I walked up to it and pressed answer then the speaker button then started putting on my black belt.
"Hey, um I was wondering if you're busy tomorrow." Drew said with a nervous chuckle.
"Um, tomorrow? I'm not doing anything. Why?" I asked while taking off my white V-neck and slipping on my brother's purple Clemson fitted soccer sweater.
"I was just wondering if you would want have a sushi date with me." He said with a nervous laugh.
"Yeah sure, I'll be more than happy to attend a sushi date with thee Drew Rollings." I said while putting on black sandals.
"Alright then. I'll see you at school and we can talk more about our date." He laughed then hanged up.
"You're not going on that date missy." My dad said while popping his head in my bedroom.
"It's not even a date date daddy. It's just a hang out one." I sighed while grabbing my backpack.
"Still. Marcus will drive you to and from this date." He said while crossing his arms over his chest.
"I'm sure that Drew doesn't mind picking me up and dropping me off at home." I said while grabbing my phone and putting it in the back pocket of my skinnys.
"Nope, tell this guy that your big brother will escort you to this sushi place and that he has to meet you there. Then when the date ends, your brother will step in and tell him that he will take you home." He said while smiling to himself.

"He's what?" Drew asked while taking his seat next to me.
I just told him that my brother is going to drop me off to Mai's Sushi.(I found out the name of the place). Instead of the whole Drew picking me up from my house plan.
I may say that he wasn't weirded out about the whole ordeal. Drew actually found it pretty amusing that Marcus has to cancel whatever plans he had tomorrow night, just to make sure that his little sister doesn't get raped in a sushi bar. Which is less likely to actually happen.
But Marcus agreed that he'll sit at a different table than us, but still seated near us.
Anyway, Drew is completely cool about it. Which is confusing the hell out of me. Because most guys would get weirded out and say that they actually have something to do instead.
"Yeah just uh going to be seated at a different table than us." I said with a frown.
"Hey it's okay. I'm cool with whatever to be honest." He chuckled while getting out his homework.
"Why may I ask? How can you be so cool about all of this?" I asked while taking out my homework.
"I mean he's your big brother. He'll always want to be protective of you. And he probably knows about me and what type of person I am so it makes him worried about you." He said then the bell rang to start class.
"Okay, so what time do we meet each other?" I whispered so that we don't make a scene.

"So technically it's you, Drew, and Marcus on this date?" Naomi confirmed/asked while stuffing her face with large french fries.
"Well, I mean I guess. But I see it as just Drew and I. While Marcus is somewhere." I sighed while eating a chicken tender.
"That's kind of cute. And so is Marcus, maybe he can take me with you guys and I can distract him, while being his date." Naomi said while smiling to herself like a weirdo.
"Urm no offense, but Marcus doesn't really like you. Because of the whole James thing." I said with a frown while dipping my French fry in ketchup and popping it in my mouth.
She scoffed while rolling her eyes then took a big bite from her steak burger and then another.
Marcus doesn't hate people, he just has a strong dislike towards them. And Naomi happens to be one of them. Ever since the whole James thing, Marcus just sees it as Naomi walking out on James without actually getting a chance to know the guy.
And James being his best friend of many years, is the reason why he's on James side and not Naomi's side.
If only she can tell Marcus that when James took her virginity, it felt like rape, and it hurt a lot for a couple of days after the party, without being scared.
"I'm sure that Marcus won't believe me if I tell him about James. What he did to me at the party." She sighed while eating her fries.
"Probably, maybe I can tell Marcus. I'm sure that he'll listen to me." I said while finishing that 1/4 chicken tenders.
"Even if it might cause a fight between two best frat brothers?" She asked while sipping on her drink and giving me a pointed look.
"Oh yeah, I'll put some more thought into it." I sighed while clearing my throat and thinking.
Keely then sat next to Naomi and smiled at the both of us.
Naomi and I quickly exchange looks at each other while Keely was busying herself by texting on her phone.
I'm thinking about Lance's threat at my house last week, or just straight up tell Keely what's going on, and probably going to be in the hospital.
It's just that Marcus will be furious and will probably want to fight Lance for laying a hand on his little sister. Naomi is honestly my only hope.
"Urm where you you?" Naomi asked kinda shaky.
"Oh, my dad just dropped me off. I had a doctors appointment. And man it was completely awkward. Because he is a young guy doctor and he had to give me a shot on my bare butt." She murmered with her cheeks tinted red with embarrassment.
I just chucked but took a quick look at shaky Naomi. Keely also did because she looked at Naomi with a curious expression.
After James, Naomi had been kind of shaky whenever he gets brought up, or she has to talk about him to anyone. I mean, he could be arrested. And also, because of him, she's shaky whenever she really wants to tell the truth, but she knows that someone will get hurt in the end, and she doesn't want that to happen to Keely.
"Naomi, calm down. Okay? James will get his karma one day." I said while rubbing her arm.
The bell then rang and she nodded and smiled at me. Then the three of us said our goodbyes and parted.

"Okay now remember, just signal me or text me that you want to go home if you get uncomfortable. And we will most definitely go home." Marcus said while turning on his blinker.
"This is still embarrassing, why can't you just drop me off Marcus? Then I can text you when it's over." I whined while glaring at him.
"Because you're my little sister and I don't want anything to happen to you, that's why." He said while giving me a pointed look.
I didn't know what came over me but I said it anyways. There's no taking it back now.
"Just like what James did to Naomi!? Really? You think that something bad like that is going to happen?" I asked clearly pissed off.
"What do you mean? She walked out on him Carly. Remember that." He seethed while gripping the steering wheel. And I scoffed.
"Okay whatever. Don't bother to listen to your little sister that you're so overprotective over." I spat while crossing my arms.
"Carly, I-" His face softened.
"Whatever, just take me to my date already." I frowned.
He just nodded and continued to drive. We just sat there in silence. Going to my date.

"Hey you sure you're okay?" Drew asked a little bit worried.
"Yeah I'm okay." I said while flashing him a fake smile.
"Alright, you looked stunning by the way Ms Lukens." He chuckled.
"I'm such an ugly person with you." I said while looking at him.
He just laughed.
