Chapter V: My Pizza is Hotter Than You
"Alright I have officially finished like six quizzes in one day." Marcus said while walking in my room.
"That must be a new record. Last week, you took three in one day." I said while adjusting my glasses and letting out a chuckle.
"Well little sister, college is full of quizzes and exams." He said with a chuckle.
My mom then walked in, and was wiping her eyes. Marcus instantly stood up from my bed which he was sitting already on.
And I got up from my computer chair and then we both walked up to my mom.
"What's wrong!?" I asked while looking at her with worried eyes.
"It's a client. She um, she committed suicide this morning." She said while letting out a cough.
"I'm so sorry mom." Marcus said while giving her a frown.
"It's okay, it's happened before. Now excuse me, I'm going to buy a fruit basket for her family." She said while wiping her eyes and then walking out of my bedroom.
I feel bad for my mom, she's a psychiatrist, and she deals with troubled teens all the time. And my guess is that my mom grew attached to this girl that killed herself. Which is a pretty depressing matter because my mom hates it when people die.
"Wow, that's really sad." I frowned while looking at Marcus.
"It really is. Hey since dad is out of town and mom is probably going to spend a lot of time with her deceased client's family, wanna order pizza?" He asked while giving me a cheeky grin.
"Um sure, I want peppers on mine." I said while grabbing my phone and texting Drew back.
"Drew seems like a cool guy. Stay away from him." He said while giving me a pointed look then walking out of my bedroom.
I seriously don't get him sometimes, I guess it's just a part of the big brother curse.
Marcus needs to calm down whenever I hang out with guys or even when guys talk to me. I can handle myself perfectly fine without his stupid help from his stupid self.
Keely: Hey you wanna hang out? I kinda need to talk to you
Keely just sent me this message. I'm really staring to get worried about her. Because she usually never has any problems.
Me: Yea Sure when? And what's wrong?
I looked at my phone while biting my lip, waiting for my best friend to reply back to my message.
Keely: It's um Lance...
This made me even more curious. Did her and Lance have a thing and I was too dumb to notice it? Now she definitely got my full attention on this matter.
Me: When do you want to talk? This can't be ignored
I was picking my fingernails waiting. I want her to meet soon. Because this really can't be ignored.
Keely: I know I know. Tomorrow? Meet me at Chick Fil a
I raised my eyebrow. Tomorrow is Sunday. She of all people knows that Chick Fil a is closed on Sundays sheesh she really did lose her mind.
Me: Tomorrow is Sunday just come over my house
I sighed while walking out of my bedroom and down the stairs. With my phone in my hand.
Keely: Alright, I'll be over at ten, Naomi is coming with me
I walked into the living room reading the message again then replying back to it. Knowing what to say.
Me: Okay see you in the morning
I then hit sent and turned on my T.V. and started to watch Teen Wolf. Damn, Stiles is so fine.
Shirtless Marcus then walked in and sat down on the comfy chair that was next to the end of the couch.
"I'm so hungry." He said while laying back and patting his stomach.
"You're always hungry." I chuckled while smirking at him.
"No I'm not." He said while glaring at me as if I'm wrong.
"That ladies and gentlemen is the biggest lie Marcus Lukens has ever said." I said with a laugh.
"Really?" He asked while smirking at me.
The doorbell rang, and Marcus stood up while grabbing a twenty dollar bill from his pocket.
He then grabbed the two pizza boxes from the pizza guy, well in this case girl and then shut the door while putting the pizza boxes on the coffee table. That was right in front of me.
I then opened one box and it had pepperoni, with jalapeño peppers on it. Which is heaven to my mouth. And grabbed a slice and ate a good bite from the tasteful food.
"Why is pizza so good?" I asked while taking another bite, a big bite this time.
"I don't know, but pizza is life." He groaned while eating his meat lovers pizza slice.
"You got that right." I said with pizza sauce coming from my mouth.
"That's not attractive." Marcus said with a chuckle while throwing me a napkin.
"Please you're never attractive." I said while wiping my mouth with the napkin. He doesn't deserve a thank you from me.
"I actually am, I'm blessed with the hot gene in this family." He said while finishing his slice of pizza.
"My pizza is hotter than you." I said while eating the pizza crust and then grabbing another slice.

"What a horrible sister you are." Keely said while shaking her head disapprovingly.
"I mean it's the truth." I sighed while painting my fingernails mint green on the floor of my bedroom.
"Well then. Oh so about Lance." She said while blowing on her now white fingernails.
"What about him?" I asked while looking at her.
"He um, we made out in his car." She said while looking down.
"And what else did you do?" I asked while blowing on my nails and waiting for her to answer.
"How do you know that we did other things?" She asked while giving me a dumbfounded look.
"Keely, we have been friends for how long? I think I know when you do the deed. So have you?" I asked while looking at her.
"I gave him head." She said while clearing her throat.
"Oh wow. How was it?" I asked while smirking at her.
Her eyes were starting to water while she sat up on my bed and pulled her knees to her chest and cried.
"I hated it!!! It was horrible! And my throat started to hurt afterwards. Carly I hate it." She sobbed.
I joined her on my bed and pulled her in a hug.
"Was it forced?" I asked.
"More like peer pressure." She croaked out, sounding broken.
"Keely listen to me, if a guy ever peer pressures you into doing something like that, you have the power and right to say no." I said while hugging her tightly.
Naomi couldn't make it because she has to watch her younger siblings which I don't know why because they're thirteen and ten years old.
Which is completely stupid because Keely is in need of both of her best friends at the moment. Oh well, I'll fill her in later tonight when I talk to her on the phone.
"I know, can we go out?" She asked while wiping her eyes.
"Yeah sure, where do you want to go?" I asked whilst getting up and stretching.
"McDonald's?" She asked while getting out of my bed and smiling at me.
"Okay just let me get dressed and we'll head out." I said while shooting her a nod.
She then walked out of my bedroom and shut the door from behind her, and I took off my pajamas and then threw on jean shorts and my grey Coca Cola shirt with my hair in a braided ponytail. And my black sandals then I grabb my phone and walked out of my bedroom.
"You ready?" I asked her after I walked down the stairs and grabbed my car keys.
"Yeah." She said with a sniffle and then followed me out the door and towards my car.

"This is good." I said with my mouth full of my Big Mac.
"Haha I bet." Keely said while stuffing her face with french fries.
This is basically our Sunday. While Drew is at the beach with friends, I'm here with my best friend Keely looking like pigs.
"Ugh why is he here?" I asked while looking at Ashton and eating one of my french fries.
"I think he likes you." She said while looki behind her then turning back around to face me.
"Drew doesn't like that." I said remembering what Drew said to me at the first football game.
"Awh he's jealous." She cooed while taking a bite from one of her chicken nuggets.
"He's just being a caring friend." I sighed while taking another big bite out of my Big Mac.
"Damn girl, you have a hearty appetite." Ashton chuckled while walking up to us with his white McDonald's bag.
"I just love food." I said nonchalantly while taking another bite.
"I see. Did you do the math homework?" He asked me all of a sudden.
Oh he's probably flirting with me, something that is rare experience to me myself and I.
The only person who happens to "flirt" with me is Drew. And I really don't know why on earth he is doing that but it is what it is.
"Yeah during lunch. Why? You're the smartest person in math, I'm sure you of all people don't need to copy any answers." I said while sipping on my sweet tea and eyeing him.
"Uh right, well I'll message you on Facebook later." He said while nodding then leaving.
"My oh my Carly, you honestly know how to reject someone." Keely said while eating two fries at once.
"What? I just don't really want to date him. Or fall for him." I sighed while finishing my Big Mac.
"Then are you falling for someone else?" She asked while sipping on her soda and giving me a look.
"I just have my own jock that I'm falling for that's all." I sighed while popping a fry in my mouth.
Keely just nodded and said no more about who I happen to like. She's thinking Drew.
And I'm thinking she's absolutely right. Keely is just a smart girl like that.
So we continued to have fun at McDonald's and laugh at some old times that we had together.
I even suggested that we play in the playground just like when we were little children.
Not having a care in the world.
