10. The Artifact

She moved her eyes to look at the snakes around her. It looks like Orphen got that. A bright strange markings appeared around her and was followed by the appearance of a strange light which was quite cold. The snakes disappeared and she breathed a sigh of relief. She got up quickly and she was so frightened that she hugged the young man. She still could not speak due to severe shock.

"Everything is fine. Don't worry, we will take care of these monsters. I hope you believe the old ghost stories?"

Kate glared at Orphen.

"Y-Yes, especially i-if you said..."

FGH!... A sharp sting from a monster opponent of Victor sank into their feet.

"Excuse me, ah? I don't want to crack the moment but can that be later? There are opponents!" said Victor.

His two opponents showered him with so many stings. This was followed by a strong eruption of acid. He made a series of jumps backwards to avoid all that. He then released two samurai swords. He gripped his swords tightly and then he quickly rushed at his opponents at the same time. He mediated between them. And he was satisfied because both of their tails prevented his attack... But, his weapons are too sharp for them. The monsters' tails were cut off and the black smelly smell of blood spilled out.

"Uhum, blood of the dead!" Victor exclaimed.

This was followed by the release of acid on him at the same time. Victor quickly jumped up but he also immediately went down and plunged his sword into the two monsters he was fighting. They were shocked by his rush and they could not avoid it anymore. He divided their bodies into several pieces and spread their pungent blood.

Meanwhile... John is against a female snake human and a man with a large centipede tail. The woman showered him with foul-smelling acid and sharp stings from the woman rushed at him. John quickly drew in the air and immediately a large umbrella appeared which he shielded from attacks. The monsters were surprised because her attack did not work. John backed away and ran away holding the umbrella. The two chased him and rushed at him. When he got to the corner, he stopped running. The opponents continued to attack and he immediately changed the shape of the umbrella he was holding. Suddenly, it became a thin and sharp net in the form of a spider's web. The bodies of his opponents hit there and split into many pieces.

He looked at their scattered blood. He was shaken. He cannot collect them... They will be fragile because it is the blood of dead people made into monsters and resurrected by black magic.

"Rejections. Weak blood type." John said in his mind.

Meanwhile... The big monster finally got up. It flew outside the museum and crashed into a large fountain in the middle of the garden. The fountain was shattered and many debris covered it but the monster left. It rattled the tail and it created a strange noise. It was appropriate to enter the building but it was stopped when the man who attacked him blocked his way. The monster grinned and stared intently at his opponent.

"You are the one who spontaneously approached death..." said the monster.

It speaks a strange language but Orphen understands it. A strong blow from the monster's big tail was caught by the latter. It flew over and rolled around in the garden and crashed into a thick bush. It immediately rose and shook. Orphen shrugged his shoulders. He immediately ran towards the monster with a punch. He hit it in the face but it also immediately responded with a strong blow. He was caught in the jaw. It was then wrapped around his body.

The monster punched him hard in the face again and that one after another. When he was bored it then stopped. A faint laugh escaped Orphen.

"It doesn't matter... I still thought you were a strong opponent. Maybe Duke, can sleep in the boredom of the weakness of your blows!”

Orphen hit a solid blow on his opponent but it retaliate. They exchanges blows. John and Victor are just watching next door.

"Sir Orphen have a different trip too oh." Victor's language was unstoppable.

John smiled meaningfully and just folded his arms. His younger brother has changed a lot. It was no longer the reprehensible and frightening Orphen then.

"What trip? Will you not even help Orphen? He is being shaken and hit by a monster!" Kate said worriedly.

"Just relax, Ma'm... Sir Orphen is not serious yet. Its nothing to him."

"H-Ha?!"

Kate could do nothing but watch what was happening and she still didn't seem to believe what she was seeing.

Meanwhile ... Orphen was crush by the monster using its snake tail that wrapped around him. His bones were piercing his body and he was having a hard time breathing...

"There! I kinda f-feel that! But, I'm sorry!"

The monster moaned because he suddenly pulled it out as he strangled its neck tightly. Gradually, his neck froze and then he violently squeezed it. The monster's head was cut off and its large body fell to the ground at the same time as Orphen fell and immediately stood up and shook his clothes. He looked at the monster's body, still slightly moving. He stepped on its large body and finally froze until it was powdered.

He walked closer to his companions and when he finally got closer, he turned his attention to Kate who was puzzled and shock.

"What? Do you believe me that I am an exorcist? I'm sorry ah? We have damaged a lot and we have no money to pay."

The girl blinked and stared at Orphen. It doesn’t look like a newly awakened nerd right now. Its cool to look at...

"I-Is that really you, Orphen Gray Mist?" she asked instead.

Orphen laughed softly.

"Of course. The best part is, we'll take you home. Hopefully, you've learned your lesson. It's dangerous to work overtime in a scary place."

Kate is still amazed.

"Cool!" she just blurt out.

So, that nerd she saw recently was just a cool exorcist?! She smiled and just laughed. She almost mistaken him as a homosexual earlier. She was just shaken by that thought and thanked. It has done her a favor twice today. And now, she will surely believe that the things she thought before were not true.
