Sara Hussein didn't realize how quick the time was flying, as requested by her mother, the khans' have apologized to her father and he being the kind guy that he was forgave them in a heartbeat. It was all in the past now.
It was like just yesterday she was sitting in this living hall, having fun and cracking jokes with her cousins while applying henna for her supposed crush's wedding and today she was sitting in the same place surrounded by the same cousins and the only difference she might add is, she's her supposed crush's real bride now and they're all here to congratulate her.
She managed to uttered those three words which has changed her life in a minute, she's no longer Sara Hussein anymore. She's now Sara Asher Ahmed Khan. The name itself sends shivers down her spine.
Aaliyah and Fahad were really proud of her. After singing in the wedding papers, her mother got so emotional that she started tearing up as she kissed Sara on her forehead. Sara too was feeling very emotional. She is now a wife, a daughter in law. All these thoughts gave her goosebumps. That was a lot to take in.
Time flies quickly. Their daughter is now a married woman, they still couldn't believe their eyes.
"I'm so proud of you my daughter." Fahad says emotionally as he kisses her palms. Sara gets teary eyed looking at her parents. They are her everything. And today she is going to leave them to live in a different house. The thought of it still makes her feel annoyed.
"I'm going to miss you both, mom and dad." she whispered sadly, her mother just pulled her into another hug.
Daughters were meant to leave your house one day, but that hurts. A lot.

Sara was all kinds of nervous and jittery about this wedding, Asher was the only guy she has ever liked. She felt so lucky to have gotten married to him. Though she had no idea of how Asher felt about her. He didn't even initiate a real conversation with her after that night. Does he even like her? Is he willingly marrying her or is he still having feelings for Mahira? She doesn't know and now they're Mr. and Mrs. Khan, just the thought of it made her super nervous.
She was seated in the middle of the hall, surrounded by lots of guests and relatives which included her cousins and their families who she hasn't met in ages, they were all so happy for her. Except for the groom's mother, who is not even one bit happy about this wedding. Mariyam still masked her emotions for the sake of the family's reputation, which mattered a lot to her. She still wouldn't shut up about how bad the wedding attire is or how horrible of a bride would Sara be. Everyone paid deaf ears to her, ignoring her existence much to her annoyance.
There was a moment of silence making Sara wonder what had happened suddenly, she lifts her head slightly to see what had happened but her heart began to beat faster when she eyes the person who approached her slowly.
Her cousins were throwing mischievous smirks at her and the teasing murmurs and whispers wouldn't stop, Asher took her hand in his making her feel fireworks inside her heart. And her cheeks weren't exactly helping either, it was turning into the darkest shade of red making her look like the shy bride which she actually was.
Everyone started leaving the hall to give the newlyweds the privacy, Asher sighs in relief as they were left alone. He came closer to lift her veil and he could swear at the moment that he's doomed. She was exquisitely gorgeous. He is blessed with such a beautiful woman as his wife, he doesn't even know if he deserves her. But she's his, just the thought of it made him feel elated.
She's his! And he's hers.
"Assalamualaikum." Sara greeted him with a shy smile.
"Walaikum Assalam."
"Masha Allah! You look so nice." Asher complimented making her cheeks warm up.
"Thanks." she whispered shyly, gosh when did she became this shy?
He takes out something from his pocket and puts it on her palm. Sara looks up at him skeptically.
"This is your wedding gift." he answered her unanswered question to which she gives him a wide smile.
"Thank you..." she stuttered shyly like the typical bride.
"Where is mine?" he asked her in his teasing voice making her gasp inwardly.
Shoot, she didn't have one. What will she do now?
Asher started laughing at her horrifying face and said, "relax I was just joking. I don't want any gift. You're the biggest gift Allah has given me, I think. So, thank you for marrying me."
Sara's eyes widened in shock hearing him, is he for real? He's thanking her for coming into his life? For marrying him? Damn... He's just so unpredictably confusing.
"We will talk, a lot. But not now. I'll be get going now, Allah Hafiz, wifey." he winks at her mischievously and leaves from there, leaving behind a very confused yet blushing Sara.
Wifey... Wow. He just called her wifey. Gosh, she needed to get a grip.
She surely didn't expect Asher to be like this. She expected some kind of... drama? Blame the stupid Wattpad books she reads, she has assumed that just like every other book the husband will throw a fit on their wedding day claiming that she's just a replacement and nothing else. Yeah, she expected that. Not this thank you for marrying me speech.
Surely, they needed to talk, a lot. And suddenly Sara was so excited for tonight.

"What is there in it?" Abeerah one of her cousin asked Sara curiously eyeing the gift Asher has given her.
"I don't know, should I open it?" Sara asked skeptically while they all got her ready for the reception.
"Of course, you should." Hana, her another cousin agrees.
"Fine, I'm opening." Sara said excitedly and opens the box.
Masha Allah, those were the first words which came out when she saw the anklets, which Asher has gifted her.
"That's cute." everyone choruses making Sara blush.
She immediately removes her previous anklets and wears the new one, which made a lot more noise than her previous one. She liked it a lot. She shakes her leg to hear the noises the anklets made. Everyone giggled at her antics. But Sara felt elated.
Her first gift from her husband. It was definitely very special.
Her husband. Just the mere thought of it made her feel all kind of butterflies inside her tummy. It's true then, butterflies in stomach does exist.
Ya Allah! What is happening to me?
