Dear Bella: Chapter One

Dear Bella,

I know you will never meet me but, I hope we will have the same connection he had back then. You were so kind and amazing to me. Yet I don't know how me and you click so well. Maybe it'll happen again. Rea told me to keep my distance until the school year is over but I can't help it. I just wish that me and you had more time you know. It seems unfair that I had to let you go so early. It's really unfair. And I have no idea how to tell you this but.

Now where do we begin two young girls who cared deeply for each other were separated when a war was over. Bella Lodge and Melanie James were their names. They met each other while sitting in the gym after running suicides. That was when she met Kenneth and Max.

After class, as Bella and Melanie walk to the cafeteria. Melanie notices some of their classmates sitting at the table. While making their way to their friends Bella wrote in her journal about the experiences she had today at school. As Bella sat down at the table. Melanie was deciding what to order from the cafeteria. Her choices were chocolate cupcakes or scones. Bella noticed Melanie looking at the menu deciding what meal to choose from.

Melanie looked at Bella and laughed since she noticed all of choices. This made Bella make her way to the line to help her friend.

“How about the cupcake? And I'll just have the regular scone.” They settled it as the girls went back to the table to see everyone from the journalism class talking about the assignment.

Bella sat next to Melanie and Max sat across from the girls. Everyone at the table all had journals. Which was normal since it was a journalism school. The lunchroom was full of students talking to each other. When Bella turned around she noticed something.

A figure walked past her but with no uniform from her school on. She and Melanie looked at each other. wondering what was that? Max followed the person and both Melanie and Bella did also. The strange person walked down the hallway making their way to the library. The three girls walked down the stairs to see no one there at the library entrance. Where could this person had gone?

Bella leaned on the wall looking around the library seeing a light blue light on. She turned the corner hoping that it's the computer. But before she could Melanie was gone. Bella looked around wondering where did her friend go? After searching the darkened library Bella found Melanie and Max staring at a group at a table. Bella looked at the people closely they did not look like East High students. Bella quietly stepped back as Melanie followed her. The girls went near a bookshelf trying to hide themselves.

“Fancy needs to hurry up with the ceremony.” Suddenly the man in the coat said.

“I need that journal this world is not capable to adapt. So why do we need to continue keeping them in harmony? Grace should've ended it all. No more happiness they belong in sadness.” The man in the cloak continued as Bella and Melanie stood there silent. Once they held out a compass a green world appeared in a blink of an eye as all members followed the person.

Melanie looked around again shocked of how the red coats came from the other world.

“Bella, did you see what happened?” Melanie asks.

Bella nods in her response not knowing what to do now. All three of the girls stood and walked out of the library still in shock. Questions came to Bella's and Max's minds. And little did they know secrets were about to be revealed. Both girls could hear the school bell ring as they made their way to journalism class. Bella and Melanie being the first ones there they immediately rushed to Miss Fancy to tell her what happened. When the girls reached Fancy they started going over each other when talking.

“My girls, you seem like you've been through a lot? Have you went to the clinic to try getting tested for stress at the school nurse?” Fancy asked.

“No Miss Fancy you don't understand we both saw the men. They were in red cloaks and were looking for something in the library and when they didn't find it they vanished!” Bella adds on.

Before the girls could continue their classmates came inside. Miss Fancy had told the girls to wait until the class is finished. Then everything will be discussed in private. In the middle of class another student could not hold it in either they saw the men also but around the swim locker rooms. They mentioned a woman's name. Not moved by this Miss Fancy decided to tell a lie to let the students calm down. Not wanting them to know the school news yet.

“Those people are the ones to check the status of children here.” Miss Fancy mentions to the girls.

“But I saw-” Bella was cut off by Melanie.

“You might be right Miss Fancy, it could've been our imagination. Come on Bella lets take a seat so we can learn” She said smiling at the teacher.

Miss Fancy just nods at her students. Melanie took Bella's hand and went along the hall. They talked about how Miss Fancy did not believe them. But Melanie just shrugged telling Bella everything will be fine they both seen it. Bella had already become familiar with the school so she went along and explored more as Melanie went to their dorm. She wondered what other secrets were in this school? Should she go find them? Her first idea said no and she listened. But something called her to continue. So Bella went ahead to find any. Before running around the school she made sure the principal was not scanning the halls for students who were out of bed. Bella then saw something glowing light blue from the corner of her eye. She turned around and weird circles come her way.

With this happening, she ducks not wanting the lights to show her by the library doors. The orb scanned the place only by walls and floors. Once Bella has seen that the orb was gone she stood and looked around. Bella faced to the corner of the library to see the principal. Which was weird because why

would he be here after hours? Bella then continued making her way inside of the library. Wondering about all that happened earlier today. Not paying attention to where she walked Bella tripped on an open tile on the library floor's losing her brand new smartphone.

“Ouch that hurts, and now I lost my phone somewhere. Now how am I going to see?” Bella said looking at her legs.

Bella looked around for her phone, but she never found it. She thought oh well, it will turn up later, but what if someone found it meaning the principal would know she's been here. Maybe if Bella would backtrack she would be able to find it. That's when Bella made her way into the library stairway. After an hour of searching her phone was not found. Bella thought that it was time to head back to her dorm. So Bella walked down the stairs and back to her dorm. Before Bella reached the door she saw a light green light coming from the back of the library. Not wanting to be caught by whoever or what it was she ran out the door to her dorm. When Bella made it into the dorm accidentally slamming the door Melanie awoke terrified of the door slam. She questioned Bella immediately realizing that it was her at this time of night. Questions came into Melanie's mind like, why was Bella not in bed, why was she out so late, and did she see anything the school should know about. Before Melanie could get out of bed Bella explained everything to Melody that had just happened in the library.

Shocked Melanie told Bella what it's her imagination. Not wanting Bella to relieve the past of the two in separation. Bella shook her head no. All Melody could do is just shrug it off. How could she now call Bella a liar.

“Well, whatever it was we'll see about it in the morning,” Melody said.

“No Melanie we have to find out what happened now or I won't receive any messages from my father. Please.” Bella asked Melanie making her sigh.

"What do you mean by that?" Melanie asked.

"I lost my phone in there and I have no idea how to get it back." Bella said.

Finally, Melanie agreed to help. The two girls made their way into the halls searching for the phone silently as they could. Bella started whispering to Melanie about what she saw.

"You aren't lying are you Bella? There is no way that that's true." Melanie shook her head.

"Book whoever I saw in the library I've seen them before in my dreams." Bella said.

Melanie's eyes widened she mentioned to Bella she had seen clothed figures in her dreams also. Bella looked at Melanie again. Could it be true that this was no fairytale something is happening inside of their school? They ignored the mentions for a moment as they heard the library door creak open. They hid behind the stairs where Bella lost her phone. A security guard had a flashlight scanning the hallways. Making sure not to get caught both girls went the other way around. That's when Bella finally pointed out her phone along with Miss Fancy holding it in her hands. The tension was high as she looked around with it. She sat it back down on the library table thinking that it was just left by accident. Relived both girls breathed out calming down.

When Fancy had left the phone on the table she had walked out the doors of the library. Both girls finally stood on their legs seeing her gone.

“How could this all be true and why would Miss Fancy be here also? It's like someone is here in this library by themselves. And you just stumbled visit one day not knowing that you lost your phone?" Melanie asked.

A bright light came from the library's corridor.

The girls stepped back seeing people in coats come out of a portal like place. The men finally revealed themselves as the leader began to speak.

"Maybe we will be at luck finding the traitor here? She couldn't be to far. We shall start our search here tomorrow night while the students are asleep." A male voice said in the almost pitch black library. The group nodded as the group went back through the portal.

Bella looked at Melanie. She mentioned to Melanie that the girls should tell the others. Melanie thought for a moment what other choice did she have?

The next morning, Bella went into the dorm hall looking for her journalism group. Melanie was up early moving her hair behind her ears. Bella found everyone at a round table. Max and Hans were confused when they saw the two. It looked like they did not sleep for ages.

“You two look like you've been in shock what happened?” Max asked the girls.

“You will not believe what we saw at the library.” Bella said looking at the group.

Melanie looked at the group and began to tell them everything that happened last night.

Later on the group decided to go into the library trying to figure out if what Bella and Melanie said about figures in black coats were true. Melanie looked around on the table. And Max looked in the math section of the library. Melanie was looking at the back room of the library and found nothing. They finally were about to give up and come back later. So they decided after Journalism class they would come back here and find out what the two were talking about without rushing to find out. Everyone in the group walked out of the library and headed to their journalism teacher. After Miss Fancy did not show up the group stayed in the classroom to discuss the plan. The plan was to find out if anyone else was in the school's library last night. Which include any groups that were held or meetings. Bella and Melanie looked at each other again nodding about the plan. How would they be able to prove this if they both don't know when the men were going to come back. But they both agreed with the deal.

The moon finally came into the night.

At midnight Bella had awoken everyone in the group to come down to the library with a flashlight. Now that everyone was looking around in the dark Bella felt a weird feeling in her stomach walking near the library door. Melanie and Bella slowly opened the door to see the same group they had saw the other day. Max, Austin, Kendrick both did not believed it as everyone heard shuffles they all went and hid behind the stairs. Everyone was scared and speechless. When the group turned the corner they had frozen to see the same men Bella had described standing right by the table. They were still looking for something and the girls had no idea what they were looking for.

“Look Rea told us to get all the journals so there will be no problem. But you made it seem like you were going to die just by taking them. What type of human crow are you?!” The man in the coat had screamed as the crow rolled it's eyes.

“Well if the kids do not have the journal then maybe I will be able to pick every journal up and give it to Rea!” the man in the other coat yelled back.

Melanie looked around for the moment. Rea wanted the journals, but why?

The group looked at each other as the men who were yelling pulled a book down opening a portal. It the color green with light green lines swirling around. They saw each member go into the portal as it closed itself.

“See we told you.” Bella laughed awkward and scared. Melanie shook her head signaling Bella this is not the time.

"So what do we do right now?" Max asked.
