Amira’s POV
I just kept staring out of the car window as the driver drove towards the Davis mansion.
So many things are different; even the fashion trend is backwards. My brain was busy formulating a plan on how I would use the knowledge from my previous life to dominate in this new life.
“You seem lost." Seb’s voice came from the front passenger seat.
His voice pulled me out of my thoughts, and that was when I realized that we were already in front of a mall.
“Why are we here? You don't need to get me the phone; I don't like owing favors,” I said without getting out of the car.
“We are the ones that owe you a favor for saving our boss's life,” he said with a smile.
“But apart from getting you a new phone, I don't think that you want to go home looking like this,” he said while pointing a finger at me.
I looked at my dress and noticed that there were blood stains on it, and it was quite glaring.
“Okay, let's go,” I said, getting out of the car.
We walked into the mall, and he asked me to find something to wear while he went to buy the phone.
I entered one of the stores, and the sales clerk just gave me a side eye after looking at me from head to toe.
“You seem to be lost; there is a store on your left for people like you,” she said with a condescending tone.
“People like me? Are you not a human being?” I asked with an innocent smile.
“What do you mean by that?” She asked angrily.
“You just said people like me, which means you are not part of these people. I am a human being, and if you are not one, that means you are either an alien or an animal,” I said while staring at her with a thoughtful expression.
“I can see that you are very mad,” she said angrily before walking away.
“Sorry about that,” the second clerk said timidly.
She reminds me of myself from my previous life. Easily bullied and gullible.
“I want the clothes on the mannequin,” I said with a serious tone.
“It is quite expensive,” she said hesitantly.
“How much?” I asked and brought out the card that I was just given.
He is super rich, so there should be a couple of millions in it.
“Five thousand dollars,” she said with an apologetic tone.
It turns out to be cheaper than I had imagined.
“I will take it,” I said, and I handed her the card.
“There she is; she clearly can't afford anything here, but she refused to leave.” The troublesome clerk came with an older lader behind her.
“Young lady, we are trying to run a business here; you can't just come in here without buying anything,” the older woman said with a frown.
“And you are?” I asked her with a raised brow.
“The manager,” she replied with a deeper frown.
“You will age faster if you continue to frown like that,” I said to her, and her expression immediately turned to anger.
“Please swipe the card so that I can change,” I said to the timid clerk, and she immediately hurried to the payment desk.
“What nonsense are you spewing? I really want to watch how you make a fool of yourself because you clearly can't afford anything here.
Just look at the outdated gown that's on your body,” the rude clerk sneered at me.
“I like the way you spoke to me; add an extra one thousand dollars for yourself as a tip,” I said to the timid clerk.
She stared at me with a shocked gaze before proceeding to swipe the card.
“You are talking so big; let's see how.”
“Successful” The timid clerk said this before the rude one could finish speaking.
“Close your mouth before you swallow a bug,” I said to her, as she was just staring at me in shock.
“Please remove the clothes from the mannequin,” I said to the timid clerk, who still couldn't believe what just happened.
“Move aside, go organize the new arrivals,” the rude clerk said, pushing the other one aside while smiling at me like a psychopath.
“Felicia, let Jade attend to the customer; she is an exclusive customer, and you might not be helpful enough to her liking,” the manager said to the timid clerk.
“If she doesn't attend to me, then I will like a refund,” I said with an annoyed tone.
“It hasn't gotten to that; you see, Jade here has been taught well since she was a child, while Felicia is from a poor background,” the manager said with a smile.
"Well, I don't like Jade; she clearly wasn't taught properly; if not, she would have known never to judge a book by its cover,” I said before gesturing to Felicia, the timid one, to help me.
She immediately took off the jeans and blue tank top from the mannequin. I also added a pair of white sneakers.
She led me to the changing room, and in no time I was done.
“Wow, you look so cool." Felicia complimented me, and I just laughed.
“Thanks for the compliment,” I said, and we walked back to the entrance of the store, where Jade and the manager were still waiting.
“Wow, these clothes were specifically made for you,” Jade complimented with a fawning smile.
“Can you transfer the one thousand dollars to her now?” I asked the manager, and her face immediately changed.
“I will make sure she gets it,” the manager said with a fake laugh.
She clearly wasn't planning to give her the tip, and from the way Felicia was fidgeting, it wasn't the first time.
“Transfer it now,” I said with a frown.
“There are rules that we need to follow,” she said aggressively.
“I have been searching everywhere for you.” Seb walked in when I was about to explode on the wrinkle-faced manager.
“I gave a tip to this girl, but the manager is refusing to give it to her,” I said with a frown.
“Just wait a minute,” he said, bringing out his phone from his pocket.
He walked to a corner and made a call; a few minutes later, he walked back to where we were.
Ring Ring!
The manager’s phone started ringing, and when she looked at the caller ID, she hesitated before picking up the call.
"Hello, sir,” she said with a humble tone, which clearly doesn't match her attitude.
I don't know what the other party said, but her facial expressions ranged from surprise to shock, then finally fear.
"Sir, I am sorry,” she immediately knelt down in front of Seb, and the call ended immediately.
“Sir, please have mercy on me,” she begged, tears running down her cheeks.
“Auntie, why are you begging?” Jade asked with a shocked look.
“This is all your fault. I have warned you several times to stop being rude to customers and to stop judging others by what they are wearing.
But you refused to listen to me, and now we have been fired by the boss,” the manager said, landing two hot slaps on her face.
“Didn't you also look down on her? Why are you trying to push all the blame on me?” Jade asked with tears streaming down her face and her hand on the cheek that was just slapped.
She kept acting pitiful while staring at Seb, but the person she was staring at clearly didn't give a damn about her.
A middle-aged man suddenly rushed into the store with three security guards behind him.
“Take both of them away!” He ordered the guards while gesturing to the manager and the rude clerk.
“Mr. Williams, please have mercy; just give me another chance, and I promise not to ever cause any trouble again,” the manager begged, tears streaming down her eyes.
“Drag them out immediately!” The man ordered, and the guards wasted no time before dragging the pair out.
They kept screaming and begging, but the guards just dragged them roughly as they continued to struggle.
“Felicia, how will you like to be the new manager?” The man asked the timid clerk, who immediately nodded happily.
“Thank you so much for the opportunity, sir. I promise to do my best,” she said with an emotional tone.
The man turned to us with a broad smile.
“Slightly satisfactory,” Seb said nonchalantly before gesturing for us to leave.
We walked back to the car, and he handed me a new smartphone.
“I have done all the necessary registrations and payments. A few modifications were also made,” he said with a slight smile.
"Thanks,” I said with a grateful smile.
I checked the phone and saw that he had already saved Leonardo and Camila's numbers.
We arrived at the Davis mansion in no time, and as soon as we drove in, we heard a commotion coming from inside the mansion.
I looked at the mansion, and the memories of my past life came rushing back to me.
In this life, this place is where my revenge will begin.
It's time to watch some drama.
“What's with the commotion?” Seb asked me with a frown.
“Helloooo drama,” I said with a smirk as we walked into the mansion.
