"S-Sariel!"

"L-love!"

At the same time they shouted at me in a tone as if they were shocked and did not expect to see me in front of them.

'Well, not really.' said a part of my mind. 'But why do they seem so shocked at my presence and seem to have done something I shouldn't know?' more questions in my mind.

My forehead furrowed and I looked at Jared. as soon as I looked at the whole of him my eyes immediately focused on the bag slung over his shoulder.

I raised an eyebrow there and immediately shifted my gaze to her eyes and then I slowly shifted my gaze to the women’s bag strapped to her.

and to be more specific ... in manager Lei's bag. Why was he the one carrying it then? Can't manager Lei carry his own bag?

And as far as I remember, he doesn't really like carrying a girl's bag. Because he would look like he was gay.

'So, why change?' it was very wrinkled when I was asked in my mind. Gradually, I became more and more suspicious of their actions, are they hiding something from me?

"W-what, Jared, it's my bag ... I'll take it ... s-thanks for holding on for a moment." manager Lei seemed embarrassed, and immediately grabbed his bag that was slung over Jared's shoulder.

I shifted my gaze to him. Then my eyebrows rose when I saw how he looked. he was slightly pale as if he had done something wrong.

"Why are you together?" I asked the two of them, my eyes focused on Jared who now could no longer look directly at me.

"Love, it's not what you think, okay?" Jared immediately defended me even though I hadn't said anything.

"Why? What am I thinking?" I said to him in an emotionless voice. I honestly don't know how I can talk to him normally, even though my heart is so sick.

he couldn't answer me and just looked away, so I just spoke again. "You sounded so defensive. Should I think of anything, huh? Jared? Manager Lei?" I asked in a suspicious voice.

"W-nothing."

"Of course there's nothing!"

The two answered at the same time. and because of what they are doing now in front of me I only increase my suspicion of the two of them that they are hiding something from me.

"Oh, really—"

"Hey, what's happening here?" my speech was immediately interrupted when Aius suddenly interrupted the conversation.

"Is there a problem?" when I looked at him his forehead was already furrowed as he looked around at the three of us.

No one answered us. So he shrugged and, unconditionally wrapped his arm around my waist, then whispered softly in my ear. "Let's go, I'll drive you home now. You might still be sick at your dinner meeting."

My heart pounded when he did that. And the way my heart was beating was already painful. Then I no longer knew the cause of my heartache.

is it the fact that Manager Lei and Jared are together, or the actions of Aius?

I was immediately separated from Aius when I suddenly heard Jared cough.

"Oh, I didn't see you." Aius said that now it was Jared who was looking.

"Jared, man." Jared proudly introduces Aius. And I don’t know why but I was annoyed with the way he spoke to Aius, as if he was proud of something here.

"Aius Frosco." Aius sparingly introduced himself while Jared stared at him, he even tilted his head slightly as if he recognized it.

"You look familiar, have we met before?" Aius later asked him. it even acted as if he was snoring and trying to remember where he had seen Jared.

I, on the other hand, stared at him the most. I don’t know if I was just imagining it or it really seemed like the movement of those around me slowed down as I stared at him. seems to be slowing down. everything was moving around and it became blurry, he was the only one I could see clearly. And not only that, I don't know but I feel like my heartbeat is even stronger. He is handsome. I said that to myself while staring at him.

"We haven't met before, bro."

I heard Jared say something, but I didn't understand it yet. My eyes and all my attention were focused only on Aius, who was now still struggling to think about where he had seen Jared.

Chapter 9 (part 2)

I, on the other hand, stared at him the most. I don't know if I was just imagining it or it really seemed like the movement of those around me slowed down as I stared at him. It seems to be slowing down. everything was moving around and it became blurry, he was the only one I could see clearly. and not only that, I don't know but I feel like my heart is beating even harder. He is handsome. I said that to myself while staring at him.

"We haven't met before, bro."

I heard Jared say something, but I didn't understand it yet. my eyes and all my attention were focused only on Aius, who was now still struggling to think about where he had seen Jared.

"Ah! I remembered it now!" Aius said loudly as if he was very happy because he had won a game, then I jumped up and immediately looked away from him. The surroundings are back to normal. Gone the blurry and slowmotion surrounding. "At a business party, do you remember it ?i saw you there, you were even with Sar's manager— "

"A-ahm! I have to go home, guys! I have to do something important." Aius didn't continue what he was going to say when suddenly Manager Lei stepped in loudly.

I, on the other hand, looked at Aius in astonishment and ignored Manager Lei who now looked dizzy from where he was standing.

"What do you mean business party, Aius?" wrinkled when I asked Aius.

'What business party is he talking about? i didn't know any business party, that Jared had attended. '

"If I remembered it right, It was a business party of my friend for his son's take over the company." He replied while looking at Jared as if he was confirming if his memory was correct.

"W-what, guys ... w-aren't you going home yet because what ... I'm going home, and then ... there are people just watching you, eh." Manager Lei groaned again. I rolled my eyes and saw that someone was really watching us. But I don’t care.

"I forgot, we're in a public place." Aius's answer was a bit strange.

"Ahm..yeah so if you mind, guys. Let's just go." Manager Lei seemed to be very anxious for us to leave.

I'm also really annoyed with manager Lei's insertions into what Aius has to say. because when he inserted what Aius was going to say, he couldn't continue what he was going to say and I didn't even know the answers to the question that was bothering my mind.

"Alright, let's go. Sariel, you still have a meeting." Aius said he was ready to leave. then I even more lost the opportunity to ask more about the business party he said where he saw Jared with the manager of who.

Aius was about to help me leave, when I shook his hand. "For Jared I'll be with you." I said.

"Okay, if you say so. Then I'll go a head now."

"What? Aius and Sariel, you should be together, there's media. Sariel, you know Aius is teasing you, you shouldn't be seen in a public place with another man with you." Manager Lei replied again.

I was bored with him. I don't know why, but I feel like he's forbidding me to go home with Jared. "So what? We don't have a relationship with Aius, as if I am cheating? And Jared is my other boyfriend, so what's wrong with that?" my patience was finally healed and I could stand what you said to him.

"I didn't mean it that way, Sariel. It's just that—"

"Wait ... wait. He's your boyfriend, Sariel?" Manager Lei couldn't even continue what he was going to say when Aius spoke.

"Yes, why?" I answered in a hard voice.

Her face immediately lost emotion, and her eyes became cold.

"So ... he's your long time boyfriend all along?" he said coldly. then he immediately shifted his gaze to Jared who was now forced to avert his gaze.

"Really, huh?" Aius still smiled, but his face remained expressionless and with cold eyes.

"Good luck, then" he added coldly. the way he spoke seemed like he wanted to convey something to me but I couldn't get what it was.

"What do you m—" I was about to ask when suddenly he absolutely turned around and left in front of us, then I was left there confused.

"Sariel, I'm s—"

"I'll be with 'my boyfriend' manager Lei, whether you like it or not." I was immediately alert to whatever he was going to say, after which I turned to Jared.

"Let's go."

but even before we finally left I heard Jared say something to manager Lei, so I looked at them.

"Just take a cab, Lei." Jared said coldly to her.

"W-what?" Manager Lei's words seemed unbelievable, but Jared ignored them and supported me to leave.

"Let's go." After he said that, he opened the door to the passenger seat for me. And he auly turned to the driver's seat.

when he entered he immediately started the car engine and started slowly.

Even before we finally got away from the place we came from before, I looked there to see manager Lei.

and there I saw her, still standing at the same spot where we left her, watching Jared's car driving away. And I don't know if what I'm seeing is right, but as I looked at her, she looked hurt and in pain ...
