Chapter Five

Meanwhile in the Jordan's home that night, old nanny was so angry with Richard. She said "I can not believe you can do this Richard, you need to change. Do not do this again". With that, she turned to Michael but he did not respond.

So she decided to punish the boy, "Richard, you are grounded for a month".

"What, nanny you can not do this to me", he complained.

He looked towards Michael and said please help me but he did not care. He just continued typing on his phone.

Richard was annoyed and ran to his room. He locked his door and went to bed crying.

The old nanny left for her room while Michael continued working late till three (3am). He got up and left for his room.

He got up by five. Got in the bathroom to clean up. When he was done, he went downstairs to drink water.

After which he went straight to his study to work on some documents. By 6:30am, a knock was heard on his door.

This was a normal routine so he simply said; "come in". Hearing that response nanny walked in with a cup of tea.

She placed it on the table, and left to prepare breakfast. When she left, he took a sip and continued his work.

By 7:30am, old nanny rang the alarm signifying that breakfast is ready. She started setting the plates and the food.

After that, she left to get Richard. She turned his door knob and noticed it was locked.

She knocked for awhile but got no response. So, she went to get the spare keys and informed Michael about it, he said okay

She left after getting a go ahead from Michael. She walked towards Richard bedroom, unlocked it with the spare key and got in.

She looked round the room and found in sleeping on the floor. She quickly carried him to the bed and checked if he was okay.

She decided to wake him up so that he cleans up. "wake up Richy", she said. After awhile of trying to wake him up, she succeeded.

He opened his eyes slowly and saw nanny then quickly shut his eyes. It was too late to pretend because nanny had already seen him.

She smiled and started talking to him. She promised to take him out while she got the groceries.

Hearing that he could leave the house made him happy. He got up and jumped on nanny.

"But that would only be possible if you promise nanny that you would be a good kid from now on and you would not bully anyone, okay", she said.

"Yes nanny", he replied obediently

"And if you fail on your promise, you will be sent to boarding school, she said

"Alright, I would not do it ever again. I promise ", he said

He decided not to ever do it again so he would not go to boarding school. He was so scared of it, he heard how scary it was from teachers and students who were once there.

Alright, let us go clean up, she said.

Okay, he agreed.

"Nanny, I am a big boy now, I can bathe myself", he said

"Really?", She questioned.

"Yes, it is true., He said

"Okay, let us see. Go bathe yourself", she agreed

He was so excited and hugged her and said "thank you nanny. You are the best".

Alright, alright, go and bathe, she replied

With that he got his towels and ran inside the bathroom. Nanny closed the door behind him.

She decided to help him bring out his clothes and left. When he was done, he brished his teeth and came out. He cleaned his body and dressed up.

Then he came out of his room and ran down stairs to the dinning room. He met Michael there and greeted him.

He sat down on a chair and nanny came forward to serve him but he refused. She left while he served himself.

After both of them were done eating, Michael got up to leave to his room so as to get some documents before leaving for the company. While Richard got up and went to his playroom.

The old nanny cleared the table and went to clean the dishes. When she was done, she cleaned the kitchen and brought out the fruits Michael will eat at the office.

She took it out from the fridge and put it in his flask. After making sure that everything was ready, she took it to the car and placed while waiting for Michael.

Meanwhile, Michael was in his room getting ready for work. He picked a blue suit and wore, checked it in the mirror and brushed his hair.

He then wore his shoes and picked up his bag. He got the documents and left his room and walked towards the car.

Richard came out and wished him a good day. When Michael got outside, he met nanny and the driver waiting for him.

He got in the car, the driver closed the door and got in his seat. He started the car and drove out of the compound.

He checked his schedule and by 8:45, his secretary called. He picked up and she reported how his activities today would be. After that, he hung up.

The driver drove into the company through the private entrance which was only known by his family members. He got down from his seat and opened the door for his Boss.

When Michael came down, the driver carried the bag and documents inside after closing the door and making sure that the car was locked.

Michael entered the private elevator while the driver John had to go round the building to the normal entrance.

He rushed and entered the elevator that was filled with people and about to close. He was glad he made it before it closed and made sure the bag and documents were safe.

Today was his lucky day.
