Bound To Him

Maria was busy in the kitchen, cooking for her older brother and his family. She was the youngest and was well taken care of by her family.

Although, they came from a poor home, she knew she was loved and cared for and that was the reason she took care of cooking as a sign of thank you. Cooking had always been her talent and gradually it became her hobby.

She found joy in cooking, in mixing different things to bring out one unique delicious food. She gave her heart into every single thing she did but most especially to cooking.

She was proud of her cooking skills and every one enjoyed every dish she brought to the table and they ate joyfully together.

This particular weekend, her niece had called her and begged her to come visit. She had no choice than to come after all the pleading from that sweet little voice.

On the Friday of that week, she packed a little bag for just some change of clothes. She picked up her bag, closed her doors and locked it, hailed down a cab and entered to take her straight to Harvard's Estate.

Her elder brother and his family lived in the estate and had a comfortable life and home. She got to the estate, entered a taxi that took her to Division B.

When she got to that area, she got down and took her left to No.10. She got there and rang the bell, she got no response for awhile.

After sometime, a pregnant woman opened the door and smiled at her. Maria was so excited to see her sister-in-law and immediately hugged her.

Her sister in law, Rose hugged her back excitedly and ushered her in to the house. She got to the living room and found it a little messy.

From the way it looked, Rose was cleaning the house before Maria got in and she offered to help saying, "Rose please take care of yourself. I can continue this, alright? Maria said to comfort Rose.

"Okay, thank you very much. I would go into rest again", she said weakly.

Rose got up from the chair and went into her bedroom to sleep and rest. The pregnancy resulted in making her so tired every single time.

Maria was glad she could help out in the house. So she cleaned the mess up.

Later in the afternoon, the driver brought her niece and nephew back home from school. Rose and Maria were in the kitchen preparing lunch.

The children ran straight to the kitchen and found their mother and aunt there. They hugged their mom and jumped on their aunt excitedly.

"Okay, calm down. I have missed you guys too. Please get down, so that we can prepare lunch and you will eat", Maria said to Roderick and Rachel.

With that they obediently came down. Then their mother said, "alright, let us go bathe and change our clothes". "Please Maria, can you manage on your own?", She asked worriedly.

"Of course, I can. So please go. Everything is fine here", she said happily.

"Alright, thank you", she said and smiled at Maria.

With that Rose took her children's hands and entered into the house. While Maria continued with the lunch preparation.

By the time, the little ones were done bathing, Maria had finished preparing lunch and served it at the dinning table. They were so happy and Rose was very grateful.

They sat down and ate. While eating little discussions popped up. They were so happy.

Later in the evening, her brother David came back home from work. He hugged and kissed his wife, his children hugged him and he hugged his baby sister.

Then he asked how everyone was, then turned to his sister, after asking how she was, he asked "how is grandma, how is health?".

"She is doing okay, she has not had any recent health issues, she has been taking her drugs, so she is okay. She sent her greetings and said she would come see you all soon", she said

He was glad that his grandmother was okay. He wished his grandfather was still alive to strengthen her. They were the best couples he knew and glad to be trained by both of them.

He went to clean up and came back to eat. He and his wife sat down to talk about their days.

While his younger sister went to help the kids with their homeworks. When they were done with the homework, they went outside to the garden to play.

After awhile, she sat down and watched them play, she was happy seeing the smiles on their faces and hearing their laughter's. They looked very cute when they smiled and laughed.

She was happy to meet her brother's family and sound. They closed her eyes briefly and prayed for their lives to be always be happy.

Seeing their happiness made her wish for her own family. She wondered who and when she was going to marry, how cute will her children be. "Anyway I am cute, I just hope my husband will be so handsome so that my kids will be very cute", she thought and smiled bashfully.

"Aunt, are you okay? We have been calling you for a while but you just kept smiling, is everything alright?", Her neice Rachael said.

On hearing her tiny little voice, she smiled much more. She was so proud of her neice and nephew, they were so smart at this their young age.

"Well, sorry I was a little distracted. What is wrong?", She asked on seeing the serious look on Rachael's face.

Looking around, she searched for Roderick. Turning to the young girl in front of her whose eyes were filled with tears about to pour out.

She held the girl, hugged and comforted her, then she asked "please tell me, where is Roderick?".

The young girl pointed towards the other compound besides their own building.

Oh no, this can't be happening.
