Chapter 6

Techna

Sitting at the counter, I grabbed a glass of milk, gulped it down my throat and pushed the glass away. Jeez, I really wanted wine, but with Tyler's babies in me, I can't drink that. Well, last week I decided to have an appointment with a doctor. I needed to know how my baby was doing, take an ultrasound, and to hear it's heartbeat too.

Flashback(The day she went to the hospital for an ultrasound)

I entered into the hospital, my heart beating pretty fast. What if Tyler was there...what if my baby wasn't okay. My thoughts were full of what ifs until I was called.

"Miss Techna Winters. " I sighed entering the doctor's office, after winking at Mac.

"Please have your seat. " I did. "So how far are you?"

I shook my head. "I seriously don't have an idea. This is my first appointment. "

The doctor sighed and told me to lie on a bed. She did some tests and then came back after a while and turned towards me smiling. " You are four weeks, miss. Is this your first baby?"

I smiled rubbing my flat belly. "Yes."

"Okay, now lay back. This is going to be cold though." She said and then rubbed a sort of gel on my belly.

A while later she smiled and pointed at the monitor-like screen. I don't know what it was called. "That's your tiny baby and two other."

I looked at the screen. Wow, one would barely know that's a developing embryo. But it seemed big, and I am just one month.

He or she was really tiny and I felt tears run down my face. I smiled and then heard three sounds. "That's the heartbeats!" I exclaimed and grinned.

"I am gonna take pictures, so you can have one with you, and you can give the other one to the father of your babies."

I frowned because, Tyler wouldn't get to see or know about this. But did I just hear babies? "Babies? " Or were my ears playing with me?

"Yes ma'am, you are having triplets."

What in the holy chicken nuggets!

I am having triplets. If Mac had told me last month that I would be pregnant with triplets, I would have laughed at her and told her she was tripping. I smiled, but then frowned. How will I take care of three babies on my own? I just had a job and I haven't even earned much enough for one baby, and now I am pregnant with three babies.

Great...

Mac is there and not enough. I needed the father of my babies, but I guess that wasn't going to happen. Tyler was an asshole. If I get hold of that son of a wife...

I would have to tell my brother and my parents too. My parents wouldn't even help much because we weren't on good terms. But maybe they will if they know I am pregnant with triplets.

I was brought back to reality when I heard a woman call my name. I looked her up and down. She was a tall woman with long skinny fair legs. Her jet black hair was tied into a messy bun, some falling by the side, pressed against her skin. Her makeup was kind of too much, and her clothes were too revealing for an hospital staff. A tight blue blouse that was showing off too much of her cleavage, and a very short skirt.

Was she even wearing a bra?! If not for the white coat she was wearing on top of... She was here to seduce the male doctors then.

"Are you done checking my sexy body? " I snapped out of my trance. What did she just say? "Or is my body turning you on?" Is this lady even straight at all.

"What the hell? You must be sick to think I would check you out or get turned on by you." The lady in front of me smirked. I don't like her one bit.

"Well then your husband or the father of your babies will be my next sex partner." She giggled. Whore...

"Don't you dare!" I said with gritted teeth and stood up.

"Oh. He will definitely want to fuck me as soon as I go naked in front of him and grab his dick."

I held a breath. "No, he will only enjoy me, so back off. " It's not like it's true or anything. I don't even want to have sex with Tyler or anything, but I had to make this woman back off... wait, she doesn't even know the father to my kids. I looked at her and smirked.

"What amuses you?" She frowned at me.

"The father of my babies wouldn't even take a second glance at you." With that, I snatched the sonogram pictures from her and stomped out of the office only to see Mac texting on her phone. I am sure she as been on it since I left.

"Hey babe." I called her, and she immediately snapped her head up. She smiled and walked to me, after shoving her phone into her bag.

"How was it? Any pictures? "

I only nodded. "I also found out I am having triplets, Mac."

"Oh, that's triple the responsibility Techna."

"Yes, I am not having an abortion."

"Okay, that's good. Where are the pictures, I wanna see my nieces." She said impatiently, and snatched it from me. "Oh my goodness!" I rolled my eyes at her exclamation. "They look so tiny. I can tell you will have gorgeous babies, Techna."

"Obviously, Tyler has a part to play." I smiled collecting the pictures back.

Present

I rinsed the glass in the sink and returned it back into the cupboard. I saw Jake moving towards the elevator, so I left the kitchen and went back to my office. I took out my ringing phone from my bag.

Xavier? I was even planning on calling him too. I quickly slide through the green button. "Xavier!"

"My baby sister, Techna. That's how you forgot your favorite brother. You missed me so much, right."

I rolled my eyes and laughed. " You are my only brother. And of course, I missed you."

"I missed you too, Tecky. "

I hated that nickname. It sounds like a turkey's name. He is the only one that calls me that, majorly to embarrass me.

"You are not done calling me that irritating name? "

"Never, so how are you doing? "

"I have been doing great and I got a new job, they pay well." And I am having triplets.

"Any boyfriend yet?"

Urgh...here we go again. "Same as always, no."

" Tech, you are twenty two years. Get a boyfriend."

"I am not interested in all those perverts that call themselves men!"

"Okay, you have to calm down. You are acting like an hormonal pregnant woman." Oh well, I am one...Thanks for noticing.

"We need to talk, Xavier."

"Yes, I was planning on coming to Texas next week. We would have lunch together. Is that cool?"

"Goodbye big bro." I hanged up.
