Chapter Five

Astrid Pov

" Mommy, why can't I join you? " Kelvin asked, sitted on the bed with his legs crossed.

" Because it's an adult function sweetie and only adults will be there. " I replied facing the mirror, letting the designer touch up make up, while Kelvin sat there pouting.

" Then why aren't you going with Daddy? " He asked making my sigh, as the thought I was trying to push behind my mind resurfaces again.

Up on till now I had no idea of Bryan's whereabouts, it's been 6 days since I last set my eyes on him.

" Mommy mommy! " Kelvin called out, snapping me out of my thoughts.

" You shouldn't only go out with Daddy you know, surely he wouldn't be happy knowing you went with another stranger. " He added.

" Ken shush. " I quickly said looking around for any sign of Nathaniel. The last thing I needed right now was another confrontation.

" Well daddy traveled and am not sure he would want to. " I said smiling at him.

" Daddy is still not going to be happy. " He pressed.

" Well daddy can go to hell. " I whispered to myself.

Bryan wasn't the best of all man since I got married to him, he changed, wasn't the same man I used to know. It was as if heavens wanted me to stay single of my life, always changing the heart of every man I fall in love with along the line.

The first time I met Bryan, was the night I was trying to escape from Nathaniel place, after being locked up for almost a week.

" Are you going to stay long mommy? " He asked standing in front of me, laying his head on my thighs. I smiled at the hairstylist, asking her to excuse us.

I picked Kelvin up sitting him down on my laps.

" No I won't " I kissed his cheek.

" But in case you need anything, just call Nancy and ask her. Okay? " I added ceasing his soft hair, smiling.

Nathaniel had informed me that Nancy would still be taking care of Kelvin and I agreed since I had know her for quiet a while now, even though she was now different, I still sought of trusted her.

" Kelvin it's time to take your bath. " Nancy informed walking into the room.

Kelvin pouted jumping off my laps, after giving me a kiss on my forehead, he rushed out of the room with Nancy tagging behind him.

I turned my attention back to the hairstylist sending her an apologetic smile, facing the mirror back.

I took a spin around the mirror checking myself out, before going towards the bed, grabbing my shoes from the edge.

Just as I was about putting them on, I heard a knock on the door, I dropped them to the floor and made my way towards the door, the soft fury rug dancing under my feet.

" Are you ready? " Nathaniel asked immediately I opened the door. His hands tucked into his black Armani suit pant pocket.

He causally check me out, a few times smiling.

" Yes I will be right back. " I said ignoring the hungry stares he was giving me. I put on my shoes and made my way back to him.

With walk back downstairs with him leading the way through his giantic mansion.

Kelvin was seated on the couch with Nancy buttoning up his shirt. Immediately out eyes met, he slightly pushed her hands away, making his way towards me.

" Are you going now? " He asked, making me nod my head with a smile.

" Yes, don't wait for me alright, go to bed on time. " I ceased his cheeks softly.

" Love you. " I added.

" Love you too. " He smiled

" Be careful out there mom. " He added, making me chuckle at his maturity.

I nodded my head smiling, he smiled back before rushing back to Nancy.

I made my way out of the mansion tagging along Nathaniel side.

" Let's go. " Nathaniel said, circling his hands around my waist, immediately we alighted the car.

He led the way into the hotel, walking towards a group of people chatting.

I could notice the state everyone was giving me, probably wondering who I was.

" Mr Smith. " Nathaniel called nodding his head slightly.

" Mr Harrison, it's a pleasure to meet you again. " The old man said, nervously stretching his hand forward for an handshake, to which Nathaniel grabbed firmly.

" Hope you are putting my words into consideration. " Nathaniel asked, well more like threaten, glaring at the poor man.

" Of course sir, why wouldn't I. " The man chuckled.

He then introduced me as his partner for the evening to everyone, before they got busy talking about business.

I looked around a bit bored from all the business talks. My heart skipping a beat as my eyes came in contact with that of someone I wasn't excepting to see here.

It was Bryan, he was at the other side of the room with a lady in his arms, shooting me his famous glare.

I quickly averted my gaze from him, looking back at Nathaniel, a rookie mistake on my part, as Nathaniel noticed my nervous, turning to see what was wrong.

He froze a little, before regaining his posture and continued talking to the old man in front of him.

After a few moments Mr Smith left, leaving me alone with Nathaniel.

" He should been dead by now, looks like am slacking off a bit. " He muttered out loud enough for only the both of us to hear.

Fuck just what I need right now, I thought mentally, not caring about what Nathan had just said.

I looked back over my shoulders to see Bryan still glaring at me, with his jaws clenched and his fist curled in a ball. The woman beside him rubbing herself against him, obviously trying to get his attention.

I faced front back, clearing my throat, silently praying that these two don't come in contact tonight, as I can't even begin to imagine the disaster it would cause.

As the party continued I couldn't even relax or focus and listen to conversation around me, as I could feel Bryan blazing glare at the back of my head.

I sigh rubbing my palms together.

" Excuse us. " Nathaniel said, dragging me out of the hall.

" Nathan calm down. " I said trying to catch up with his pace.

" Where are we going to? " I dared to ask, ignoring his angry attitude.

We stopped at the front of a door, and he pulled out a key from his pant pocket, unlocking the door and shoving me inside.

I gasped, my mouth open wide ajar, glaring at him. I turned around scanning the room. It was one of the suite I the hostel.

I turn sharply to glare at him.

" Nath....." He cut me off, slamming his lips against mine.

He kissed me roughly, wrapping his hands around my tiny waist, pulling me against his body, tightening his grip more around my waist. I gasped, while he took it as an opportunity to shove his tongue into my mouth exploring it.

He grabbed the back of my neck, deepening the kiss. I felt myself getting light headed and pressed my palm against his chest, pushing him, but he held onto me, tightening his grip, kissing me harder with a groan.

I whimpered out of breathe, tapping my fist against his chest repeatedly. He pulled away groaning, immediately attacking my neck.

I bit my bottom lip to keep myself room moaning out loud. The last thing I wanted was to make known the effect he still had on my body.

" Nathaniel, the party.... " I tried reminding him breathlessly, trying to push back the moaned escaping my lips.

" Nathaniel stop. " I tried pushing him, but he only bit my neck harder, sinking his teeth into my flesh, making me whimper as I pulled his hair my hand connecting with his cheek.

He moved back, looking at with his eyes harden, his jaws clenched.

" It hurts. " I yelled at him.

He clenched his teeth, looking at me hardly. His words from some hours ago ringing inside my mind.

' Don't ever raise your hand at me again. ' He yelled after I slapped him the last time.

He grabbed my hands pulling back against his chest.

" I don't like your fucking relationship with your ex. " He snapped

" What the fuck hiss he doing here? I thought I kept him busy for some times. " He yelled kicking the desk.

" And you, why do you keep staring at him? " He yelled at me

" Firstly, I don't know what he is doing here, you invited me here remember. " I said poking his chest.

" Secondly, he is still my husband, he as every right to stare at me. " I said trying to push is buttons, letting him know it was his fault that wew wee here right now.

He looked at me, his eyes harden and jaw clenched.

He stake towards me like a prey.

" YOU ARE MINE. " He yelled slamming his lips back on mine.
