When he wrote the number on my hand, he put the pen back in his polo shirt and continued eating as if nothing had happened.
Still shocked by what happened, I returned to our table. Jenna looked at my hand in disbelief.
"Did he... really give his number to you?" Cheska still couldn't believe it.
I just shrugged my shoulders and showed my hand with a number written on it.
They looked at my hand again and slowly looked away from it. I bowed and sat down again.
When they returned to the classroom, they didn't wait for me, they went ahead as if they weren't with me. I think they are upset with me because I did that dare.
"Claire," I turned to my side when I heard Mark.
I was able to walk with them but what surprised me was how fast Klyde was walking, he had left his friends.
I followed him with a sneer. Is he still having a bad trip with what Jenna did?
"Ah, it's Klyde! He has to go somewhere, so he's already here," Mark said. He seemed to notice the way I looked at Klyde.
I just smiled at them and continued walking, they followed me.
Mark said that Klyde was going somewhere, but when we got to the classroom, he was sitting in his chair and looking away.
I looked at Mark and hesitated to smile, his lying was really sloppy.
I just sighed and sat in my chair. When I looked at Klyde again, his gaze was still outside and his forehead was slightly wrinkled.
The whole class ended that day and I can still feel Jenna's annoyance with me.
I went home and when I left the classroom I was with Aldrin. His serious look fell on my hand.
"Ah, don't worry, I'll erase it too. We were just playing a while ago," I explained.
"Tss. They ordered you to do that to embarrass you. Just find a new friend," he just said and left.
I remained standing there and followed him.
"Are you going to call him?"
I almost jumped in shock when someone spoke behind me. I was even more nervous when I saw that it was Klyde, only a strap of a bag was hanging on his shoulder, his hair was messy as if he had just run his hands through it.
Tayo fixed me up because I felt small because of his great height. He was slightly bent and I looked up at him.
"N-no. He and I were just playing together earlier that's why I took his n-number," I answered.
I'm still nervous and I don't know why.
"You're not going to call him?" he asked again, I bowed.
"Klyde... You just repeated your question," I said with a snort.
"Are you going to call him?"
What is Klyde, I'm afraid of him, eh.
"No..." I said in a small voice.
I looked up when he took something from his bag, it was mineral water. I was even more surprised when he took my hand, poured water on it and gently erased the numbers written on it. He was serious about what he was doing and even bit his lip.
When he finished erasing the numbers, he straightened up and simply threw the empty bottle to the side.
After that, he walked away, his lips parted as I followed him.
