Arriving in the classroom, I took my notes from yesterday that we will study today and reviewed.
I also felt the arrival of some of our classmates but I didn't bother to see who they were.
I'm done reviewing but our teacher is still not there for the next subject so I thought I'd take a nap first. I put my bag on the arm chair and turned it into a pillow.
"Miss President!"
Less than thirty seconds later, I looked up when someone called me. Yes, I am their president.
I adjusted my seat and faced Timothy who called me.
"Why?"
"There is a new student," he answered.
"Huh? Okay."
Tim returned to his seat and chatted with the people next to him. I stood up and approached the man at the door of our classroom, maybe he was the new student.
I stopped in front of him and he fixed us. He frowned and shook his head.
"Section A, are you?" I will ask.
"Yeah," he answered lazily.
I adjusted my glasses. "Okay, come on."
I turned around and was going to look for him to sit but he didn't follow me so I turned to him again.
I think he is crazy about me.
"Uh..." I thought of a good word because this man looked stuck, "Because I'm their president and I'm assigned to take care of my classmates."
He still didn't speak.
"You probably don't want to just stand there and wait for ma'am, do you?" There he completely averted his eyes and followed me.
"We have a new classmate!"
"Hey, dude."
"Hi, kyah!"
Some of our classmates commented, but most of them didn't care.
I faced our new classmate again.
"We still have four empty seats, just choose where you-"
"Is there someone sitting here?" the man cut me off.
He pointed to the seat next to me. No one is sitting there because the one next to me is boring.
"No-"
I was interrupted again when someone else interjected.
"There is!" Suddenly, Klyde appeared next to me.
"Who?" our new classmate didn't seem to believe it.
"Mark. That's my friend," Klyde held his ear and looked away.
"Then, where is your friend?"
Klyde frowned when the man asked again.
"Don't ask. Just find another chair!"
I just kept quiet and watched the two. Mark is not sitting in the seat next to me but there is another seat if this man wants.
The man sighed and lazily walked towards an empty seat.
I turned to Klyde who was still looking at the man and frowned, he was still slightly pouting and....
And he's cute.
I blushed at my own thoughts and Klyde turned to me right away so I blinked and immediately thought of something to say.
"W-why did you s-say that?! M-mark isn't sitting here, ah!" That's what I said. I can't look directly at him.
"Uh..." he was speechless for a moment, "Because, don't you want someone next to you? They're noisy and you can't review properly."
I would have believed Klyde if he had grabbed his ear, which he only does when he lies.
I approached our new classmate, Klyde went back to his seat but kept looking at us.
"If you need anything, come to me," I said.
As before, he just looked at me bored. He nodded and looked back outside.
I went back to my seat and our teacher arrived just in time for the first subject.
"Good morning, class!"
"Good morning, ma'am!"
After the greeting, ma'am Kristine looked around the entire classroom, stopping at the transfer student.
"Mister, kindly introduce yourself, please."
He seemed to be forced to stand up and speak.
"Aldrin Klint Delos Reyes, 18."
That's all and he sat down. Ma'am Kristine just nodded and the teaching began.
In our last subject, before break time we had a quiz.
I was playing with the ballpen in my hand when someone approached me, when I looked back, our new classmate, Aldrin, appeared before me.
"I have no paper," he said.
"Huh?" I have a good question, maybe I just heard it wrong.
"I don't have a paper. You said I'll come to you when I need something."
He entered without papers? What's in his bag?
I just gave him a role even though it was not included in my being president. He immediately left without saying thank you.
When it was break time, I immediately arranged my things but I stopped and faced Aldrin when he stood in front of me.
Maybe thank-
"I thought someone was sitting here?" he pointed to the seat next to me, "but in the whole class no one sat there."
—He won't be grateful.
I just smiled at him. "No one is sitting there. I don't even know why he said that, Klyde."
"Tsk. He's too obvious," he said and went out.
I just continued to arrange my things and went out.
It was break time and it wasn't lunch yet so I just went to the library. I'm not hungry.
It was quiet in the library and there were only a few people, in the corners I could see someone sleeping.
"bro, what are we doing here?"
"I didn't know you liked to read."
"Tss. Be quiet, okay?"
I stopped reading when I heard a noise, very close to me.
I looked at the bookshelves when someone moved there, the voices were also coming from there.
"Don't be naughty."
"What are you looking at there?"
"Klyde, this morning you were-"
"Ouch!"
My eyes widened in shock when Mark suddenly hit the floor, from where he came Klyde and Zach also came out.
"Hey, Hi Claire. Hehe," Mark immediately stood up.
I frowned at them. Break time, but why are they here in the library?
"We're here to read," Zach suddenly said as if he read my question in my mind.
I looked down at their hands. If they are going to read, why do they only bring food and not books?
"Ah, you want?"
I took my eyes off their hands when Klyde spoke. When our eyes met, my chest pounded again.
"What are you doing, bro! Hey, you've already drunk that!"
Mark put down the soft drinks that Klyde was handing to him. Klyde scratched the back of his neck and snorted.
I did not speak and did not continue reading. They said they would read but they just kept standing in front of me.
The silence in the library was broken when my cell phone rang. It's a good thing it didn't open, otherwise they would have seen my wallpaper.
I received a message from Premalyn, she said that I went to the canteen.
"Oh, you're leaving?" Mark asked as I stood up.
"Yes, e. Prem is sending me to the canteen-"
"That's right! We're also going to the canteen."
I bowed when Klyde said that.
"I thought you were going to read?" I asked weakly.
"a-ah, we're done reading!"
"Yes, Claire. We're hungry," Mark added, which surprised me even more.
I looked again at the food they were holding.
'are you hungry? Eh, you're even eating something.'
'You said you were going to read, but now you're done reading? Hey, you haven't even started yet, huh.'
I wanted to say those things but I just nodded and went along with what they were saying.
When I left the Library they left. There are many people in the canteen, not only to eat but also to hang out.
"Claire, here!" Premalyn's voice.
When I saw him at a table, I immediately approached. He was with his friends.
"why, Prem?" I asked weakly.
"Come with us," he said.
Even though I wasn't hungry, I just bought food and accompanied them.
They opened a topic and started talking. I just sat there quietly and ate. This is one reason why I don't want to go with premalyn's friends, I feel out of place.
"OMG, Jenna! Klyde is looking at you!"
I looked up when Erica said that. They're now screaming loudly while teasing Jenna Kay Klyde.
"I think, he likes you!"
"Yeah! He's been looking at it for a while now."
I just snorted and bowed again. A lot of guys like Jenna, she's pretty and sexy so it's possible that Klyde likes her.
