“Why in the world did father tell him that? It was an achievement I didn't expect to happen. I explained everything to him. Damn it, I wonder how he put it to Alpha Gonzalo?“. Conri exclaimed bitterly.
“Relax Conri, your late father said it to mock Alpha Gonzalo but he revealed what happened to some of us. So you shouldn't worry about that because Alpha Gonzalo already knew what I knew. The main issue now is that he needs you to return and take over the leadership”. Reika explained.
“I am sorry but you have to go back without me for now and do me a favor, find out from the luna where Tala is staying. I want to meet my daughter,” concluded Conri.
Priestess Reika tried all she could but Conri refused to return to the wolf globe. So she left without him.
On getting back to wolf globe, they found out that Conri’s mother was pregnant. A few months later she gave birth to triplets and died after the delivery. Since Conri had been the only child, they needed to let him know that he had siblings to take care of. So Reika had to go back for him with the hope that his mother’s death would bring him back.
When Reika told him about his mother’s death, he was sad but didn't show any sign of returning. He was like that because his mother supported his father when they were ganging up against the moonstone pack. So as the priestess saw he wasn't making any move, she told him about his siblings.
“Conri, your mother died after giving birth to your siblings”.
“What? My mother was pregnant before my father died?” He asked in big astonishment.
"Yes, Conri, your mother gave birth to triplets - two girls and a boy. And as their elder brother, you must care for them,"
Priestess Reika emphasized, her eyes serious with concern.
"Alpha Gonzalo decrees that you must return home, even if it means splitting your time between Sunset City and our pack's territory. Your siblings need you, and you can't leave them in the care of pack members alone. They require your guidance and protection."
Conri nodded, feeling a surge of responsibility wash over him. He had never imagined himself as an elder brother, but now that it was a reality, he was determined to do what was best for his siblings.
"I understand, Priestess Reika. I'll do my duty," he said, his voice firm.
After attending to some matters and obtaining permission from his work, Conri was ready to follow Reika back to the wolf globe. He expected a magical journey through the usual open pathway, a shimmering portal that would transport them instantly to their destination. But Reika had a surprise in store.
"Do your magic ring thing, let's go," he said, holding out his hand expectantly. But Reika laughed a musical sound that filled the air. "Not this time, Conri. We won't be taking that route. There is another way to our globe, through the mountains or the road," she explained, a sly glint in her eye.
Conri's brow furrowed in confusion. "The road? But that's not possible. We're talking about two different worlds here."
Reika chuckled. "Ah, but that's where you're wrong, my dear Conri. There are more connections between our worlds than you realize. Come, let me show you."
"What a small world," Conri exclaimed, marveling at the unexpected journey. He couldn't believe how easily they had traveled between two worlds, how connected they truly were.
Reika smiled, her eyes twinkling with amusement. "Indeed, Conri. The world is full of surprises. And sometimes, the most unexpected paths lead to the greatest discoveries."
On their arrival, Alpha Gonzalo was glad that he had come back. Conri was expecting some grudges from the Moonstone pack since it was where Reika took him to meet his siblings. To his amazement, he was being welcomed like a king. He was overwhelmed as Alpha Gonzalo hugged him.
“Welcome back, Alpha Conri. I am glad to behold your face again. You are a full-fledged king. I can feel your energy. Come and meet your siblings,” said Alpha Gonzalo excitedly.
Dumbfounded and yet happily, Conri followed him to the nursery where his siblings were. He was overjoyed as he held them in his arms one after the other.
“Conri, they may be your siblings but you are like their father as well,” Gonzalo told him.
Gladly, he nodded his yes. He knew it was a fact. The triplets are his responsibility from the moment his mother died. He thanked Gonzalo for his understanding and help. He tried to apologize for his mistake but he told him not to worry about a thing.
Instantly as they left the nursery, he led him straight to the council meeting which had been organized beforehand as they heard from Reika that he was returning with her.
The meeting concerned Conri’s enthronement as the Alpha king of the four parks and the linking of the packs as Moonstone packs. Though they would have subheads to help in directing the affairs of the pack.
Further, they explained to him that after the strange death of the three bad Alphas, and their Betas the remaining people became scared as they believed that they were killed by their goddess. So they ran to Gonzalo pleading for help. Gonzalo was seriously wounded due to the torture dispensed on him through chains and wolfbane. However, he had to take care of his kind but he knew he couldn't handle it. So he sorted for the priestess to consult the oracle for a suitable Alpha king. Conri was chosen so he had to hand it over to him.
At the meeting, they explained to Conri that the goddess chose him. He wasn't happy about it because he wanted to go back to the human globe. They were peaceful and he liked his work over there as well, his newly established business was doing well. He tried to protest but Gonzalo insisted, adding that he could also shuffle between wolf globe and human globe. The idea sounded better, so he accepted his kingship.
Within three days, he was enthroned as the Alpha king of the four packs. Then new Alphas were appointed to head the subpacks and report to him.
As everything was being put in order he was concerned about talking to Luna Ashina to ask about the whereabouts of Tala. He needed to take her under his care or bring her home to Gonzalo.
Unfortunately, after the enthronement ceremony, Luna Ashina slumped, and before anything could be done, she died without revealing where Tala was staying. Conri wasn't happy about that but he told them he knew who might know where she was staying.
With everything settled, he hung around for a month to search for his mate. Unfortunately, he couldn't find her. He decided to pack up his bag to go back to his work at Sunset City taking his sibling and a young nanny, Kiara from his pack, who was chosen by his aunt to take care of the triplets.
Immediately, he returned to Sunset City with them, he settled them in. Then set out to find Tala. Unfortunately, who he had in mind concerning the whereabouts of Tala was Inspector Farcas. On getting to his place, he was nowhere to be found. He made inquiries and they said he traveled without dropping information about his destination.
He tried to get information on Sir Ralph so he could find him with the hope that he would know where Tala was but there was no record of him connecting with Ashina. To make it worse he didn't know Sir Ralph's second name and it had been over ten years. He became very sad for not being able to find his daughter.
He kept his fingers crossed hoping for inspector Farcas to return from his trip but years passed after years yet no sign of him or Tala. With time they gave up hope.
Meanwhile, Kiara, the nanny who had been taking care of the triplets had been trying to get Conri to be her mate but it wasn't going well with her. Conri did appreciate her assistant but had no feelings for her. He believed that mate bond is the best and that was what he was ready to wait for even if it took him a hundred years, he would wait.
With disturbance from Gonzalo and other people to get married, he decided to participate in a mate-hunting ceremony. He went back to Wolf's Globe. He took part in the ceremony but couldn't find his mate. The elders advised him to choose a mate but he refused and said that he would only marry his mated one. A few days later he went back to the human globe with the hope that she might be in Sunset City
