Tala's birth

Ashina’s dizziness continued, the instant she was collapsing on the roadside, an upcoming Mercedes Benz driver had sighted her and so was slowing down.

“Boss, a pregnant lady just collapsed over there”, said the driver.

“What! Pregnant lady collapsed? Halt the car immediately Boris, let's help her”. Replied Sir Ralph, his boss.

As they stepped down, they realized that she was bleeding and had lost consciousness. Then the driver sniffed the air to be sure if his suspicion was right but his wolf confirmed it instantly.

“No need to be sniffing around Boris, she is our kind,” said his wolf, Decovu”.

"Boss, her condition is extremely critical, but I believe she'll pull through once we get her to the hospital,"

Boris let out, his voice laced with concern and urgency. Ralph quickly scooped her up, cradling her limp body in his arms, just as an empty ambulance was approaching. Boris flagged it down, and they stopped to assist, their sirens blaring in the night air. Ralph explained how they had found her collapsed on the roadside, her body battered and bruised by thorns from the bushes. The paramedics quickly took her in, their faces set with determination.

As they sped towards the hospital, they radioed ahead, alerting the staff to an incoming emergency case. The ambulance hurtled through the streets, its lights flashing, and its sirens piercing the night air, a beacon of hope in the darkness. In a remarkable coincidence, the ambulance carrying Conri and the accident victims arrived at the hospital at the same time, a chaotic scene unfolding as the medical teams rushed to attend to the multiple emergencies.

As Conri was being led away for tests by a nurse, the doctors were tending to Ashina's critical condition, their faces grave with concern.

"We need to act fast! Take her straight to the emergency room, stat! She's at risk of losing the baby."

The doctor urged the medical team to attend to Ashina, his voice firm and authoritative. They swiftly wheeled her into the emergency room, where a team of specialists awaited, their eyes fixed on the monitors and machines beeping around them.

After a series of urgent examinations and ultrasound analyses, the devastating news emerged: the male baby had succumbed to the injuries, and the female baby's heartbeat was very weak, requiring immediate attention. The medical team sprang into action, fighting to save the tiny life, their hands moving with precision and speed as they worked to stabilize the fragile heartbeat.

CS was carried out immediately and within thirty minutes, the cry of a baby girl was heard with the mother still unconscious. The baby was taken to the nursery and kept under observation in an incubator. The mother's health was also under observation since she was too drained of body fluid.

Boris and his employer, Sir Ralph, remained at the hospital, anxiously awaiting news of Ashina's condition. Sir Ralph's concern for her wellbeing was palpable, his brow furrowed in worry as he pondered the circumstances surrounding her presence in that area at such a late hour. A sense of unease settled over him, and he couldn't shake the feeling that something was amiss. His suspicions led him to summon the police to the hospital.

Within a few minutes, Inspector Farcas and his assistant, Benson, arrived promptly, having been already present due to the earlier accident.

After discussing the situation with the inspector, Sir Ralph was reassured that once Ashina regained consciousness, the authorities would facilitate contact with her family. With a sense of relief, he departed the hospital alongside Boris, his driver.

As a billionaire with no children, Sir Ralph's life had been marked by tragedy, having lost his wife years prior and subsequently adopting a son who had tragically passed away without explanation. Since then, he had lived a solitary life, surrounded only by his staff, including Boris and a live-in maid, Mrs. Mingan who had a ten-year-old son, Ryker.

Unknown to Sir Ralph, his loyal driver, Boris, harbored a secret: he was a werewolf who had fled his world and sought refuge among humans. Like Ashina, he had escaped his troubles and adapted to human life, blending in seamlessly.

However, there had been occasional strange occurrences hinted at the presence of supernatural beings like wolves attacking humans, or having wounds healed at an extraordinary rate. Inspector Farcas, a fellow werewolf, and those in positions of power worked to conceal these events, maintaining the fragile peace in the society.

Meanwhile, Boris was aware that Mrs. Mingan, the maid, and her son were werewolves, but he didn't know they were hybrids. Apart from being a wolf, they possess witch powers. Unwittingly, Sir Ralph had taken in non-humans, providing them a haven. The web of secrets and hidden identities entwined, waiting to be unraveled.

Meanwhile, when Sir Ralph voiced his concerns about Ashina to Inspector Farcas at the hospital, the inspector's expression turned grave. His eyes narrowed slightly as he listened intently. He instinctively sensed something was amiss, even before seeing Ashina. He had already detected that she was one of their kind, a werewolf, and his worry deepened. He was eager to uncover how she had ended up in Sunset City, especially when Conri, another newcomer, was also in the hospital, struggling to regain his memory.

Inspector Farcas's mind raced with questions. People typically left Wolf's Globe during harsh seasons or wars, not when times were good. What could have driven Ashina and Conri to flee their pack? And why did they have to come to Sunset City? He was determined to get to the bottom of it.

An hour after surgery, Ashina finally awakened. Another thing is that the doctors monitoring her baby's progress were astonished by the rapid improvement in the infant's condition. The tiny heartbeats grew stronger, and the ultrasound showed a healthy, thriving baby. It was as if the baby was defying medical odds, and the medical team was both amazed and perplexed.

Just as Sir Ralph had left the hospital, feeling somewhat reassured, Inspector Farcas called him to give him the good news.

"Sir Ralph, I need to inform you that Ashina has awoken. She is recovering well, and the baby is doing remarkably better. However, I advise you to relax until morning.

But Sir Ralph's concern only intensified. He couldn't shake off the feeling that something was off, that there was more to Ashina's story than met the eye. He promptly instructed Boris to turn the car around and head back to the hospital. Boris was taken aback, inquiring if everything was alright.

"The inspector said she's awake; let's ensure they're both okay," Sir Ralph replied, his voice laced with worry.

As they arrived at the hospital, Sir Ralph's mind raced with questions. What secrets were behind Ashina's situation? And what did Inspector Farcas know that he wasn't revealing? He was determined to find out, even if it meant uncovering a web of secrets that could change everything.

Meanwhile, Farcas who had been around Ashina started a conversation immediately as he found out that she was strong enough.

“Hi, I am Inspector Farcas and you are?” Farcas started with an introduction.

Ashina hesitated, unsure if she could confide in the werewolf before her. As she deliberated about it, Inspector Farcas sensed her uncertainty, his eyes filled with a deep understanding.

"Lady, you don't have to trust me, but I can't help you if you don't open up. Your wounds will heal soon, and you need to leave this place within hours to avoid drawing unwanted attention. So, where are you from, and what brought you to Sunset City?" he urged, his voice gentle yet firm.

Ashina understood the gravity of her situation and began to recount her story, revealing her name and the circumstances that led her to this strange city. As she spoke, she noticed something was amiss - her pregnant belly was gone! Panic set in, and she cried out painfully.

"Oh no, my pups, where are they? No, no, Gonzalo, no!" Her voice trembled, and she was on the verge of growling, her werewolf instincts surfacing.

Inspector Farcas quickly intervened, his hands raised calmingly.

“Hey,  Luna, calm down, this is not your Pack hospital. Your pup is fine. Don't attract people here” Farcas cautioned her.

She calmed down and tried to relax a bit as she sat up and said she wanted to see her pups.

“Luna, first things first, don't call her your pup, call her your baby.  If you call her pup, it will bring in suspicion. You will see her soon”.

“What happened? I was expecting two pups, sorry, I mean babies. What happened to him? Did I lose him?”

“I am sorry Luna, he was already dead before a good man brought you here”. Farcas explained to her, tending her condolence.

“I want to see her please, I need to see my pup first”. She stood up about to remove the drip cannula on her hand.

“No mam, please don't do that. To survive in the human world, you need to try and behave like them. A normal human will be in pain for days after CS. So you need to pretend to be in pain”

She nodded realizing that the inspector was trying to help her.

“So you are a hybrid”. He wasn't happy with that but he believed that it wasn't her fault so he advised her.

“Luna, the first advice for you is not to tell anyone that you are a hybrid. Wolves here don't like hybrids and secondly, your identity must be kept secret for now. Since you had already told them your name, let it be the only thing you remembered”.

   “Why?” Ashina asked.

“It's simple, we are wolves in a human globe, so we live according to their ethics for peace to reign”. Farcas explained.

“Okay, so where is the Packhouse?”
