Chapter V

Ariana thanked the Dukes of Salisbury and in the company of her mother arrived at the house of her dear sister Danielle, where she was waiting for them in her tea room.

-Who gave you permission to leave? -Said his mother with evident anger.

-Danielle mother, she granted me permission to go to the house of the Dukes of Salisbury.

-Dear Danielle, why did you agree to that without my consent?

-Mother, I gave her my permission to attend because she had finished her duties and did not need your presence at the moment.

It took them an hour to get to her sister Michelle's house, a place with much less love than her own home.

There was a knock on the door and it was immediately opened by one of the few services her sister had. Her husband was a miserly and mean Viscount, Ariana had rarely been in the same room as the Viscount and did not like being near him.

They went into the main room of her sister's house and waited for a few minutes for her presence.

Lady Christine and her beloved daughter Michelle had tea and talked for a while, at the end Lady Christine left in the afternoon in the hope that the young woman I look after as a child would soon cease to be a burden to her.
