Chapter 8: The Wedding Functions Begins

The guest started to arrive, DD came with Sunehri and literally threw himself over Neil as a result Neil had to take a few steps back to balance himself, which made everyone laugh while Neil glared at him. Aaniya blushed seeing Aarush entering while lost in her. No one in the family knew about him , not even Saumya. Khuranas too was present there Smita(Ali's mom) was Shweta's cousin sis but both were different in nature while Alia (Ali's sis) had a habit of finding fault at every other thing and she was doing that only, she was too arrogant with lots of attitude and not to forget lots of makeup too, that's why the whole Sibling gang nevér got along with her, especially Aaniya…

Shweta introduced them to Avni while Avni took blessings from Smita and greeted Alia but Alia instead of greeting back was making faces and passing comments on Avni which infuriated Aaniya ….

Ali greeted Avni and complimented her too, he was continuously trying to flirt with her while she didn't gave any "bhaav" to him, the groom side too arrived, both the families greeted each other. Saumya introduced Avni to her in laws and her fiance as she didn't got the time to introduce him to Avni before , as she came just a day before….

" Shivansh, this is Avni, my friend from Udaipur, I told you about her , remember?"

And Avni I think you already recognised him...he is my fiance Shivansh Kushwaha", Saumya introduced them while blushing...

" Of course I recognised him, You talk only about him all day, btw nice to meet you my would be jiju...." Avni teased before forwarding her hand for a handshake...

" Same here!! Well I have heard a lot about you too ", Shivansh said while shaking hands with her...

" Hope you heard everything good...." Avni asked, smiling at him….

" Of course!! She doesn't get tired of praising you, btw where is Aanu?...." Shivansh questioned looking here and there for Aaniya….

" She is preparing for her performance one last time…" Avni answered ….

"Ohh !! Okay!!", Shivansh passed her a smile...

"Ummm well best of luck to you!! You have to bear her all your life, poor you!! my sympathy is with you", Avni said dramatically, with a fake concern, she just wanted to divert Saumya as she felt her nervousness , she noticed that Saumya was looking at everyone and was getting emotional…

" Avu!! You started again? You are gonna be beaten up badly by me ", Saumya warned, making Avni and Shivansh laugh..

" Gud evening everyone!!

Welcome to the Sangeet ceremony of my beloved sis Saumya, hope you all will enjoy your time here , so let's start the function!! So for the first performance of the evening, Let's welcome our hot, beautiful and sexy bebe ...", Aaniya announced on the stage, while the guests clapped excited for the performances...

Everyone performed one by one…

Some were emotional (bebe on ae dil laya h bahaar from kya kehna), some were funny(Shweta and Prakash on Jab tum chaho from Prem ratan dhan payo ), some were romantic (Naina and Nishant on Soch na sake from airlift ), some cute (Ansh and Mishti on Itti si hasi from Barfi ) while other were Hot (Aaniya on Gulabi Aankhein from Student of the year ), Ali (on baaki sab first class h from Kalank), (Aarush on Na jaane Kahan se Aaya h) and Alia(on Girls like to swing from Dil dhadakne do ) , and then four of them danced on disco deewane together..

Later , Aaniya made everyone dance together on Dil dhadakne do....

She dragged Avneil too on the dance floor…

Neil was just Standing there clapping while Avni was doing some steps both were opposite to each other and again bumped into each other and then what ? Of course they were lost into each other's eyes.....

As The song ended , the audience clapped bringing them back to the earth, and everyone went back to their places...

" Okay!! So, Are you guys enjoying? ", Aaniya asked the guest...

" Yes..." All the guest shouted of course why wouldn't they enjoy , all the performances were amazing , all in all the Sangeet ceremony was simply awesome ....

" Okay!! let's move to the next performance, So guys , hold your wives/ gfs bcoz my hot and dashing bhai is coming to sweep you off your feet , so please welcome the dashing ,the stunning , Neil Khanna , and yeah he will sing a song for us...."

" What? But" Neil gave a serious look to Aaniya.....

" Come on bhai, plzz" Aaniya requested with her puppy face which he can't ignore...

He sighed, went to the stage and started singing , taking his guitar....

Avni was lost in his melodious voice while he was stealing glances at her...

Kab se main dar dar phir raha....

Musafir dil ko bana de....

Tu awargi ko meri....

Aaj thahra de....

Banjar mehka de....

Sukhi padi...

Dil ki iss zameen…

Kooo bhiga de...

Aaaaa....aa....aaa..

Derena...."

He got lost in himself while singing his heart out , and then ended the song, the hall was bombarded with claps while He simply nodded at the guest before getting down the stage añd left to garden...

" Wow!! Wasn't that amazing guys? So, Ahmm boys, be ready, it's your time to control your hearts from skipping it's beats , bcoz I'm sure it'll, okay!! So let's put our hands together for another singer of this house, our very own, the beautiful , the gorgeous, the talented and not to forget everyone's favourite Avu, Ahhh!! I mean Avni, Avni Ayesha!!..." Aaniya announced proudly, giving Avni a mini heart attack….

" What? But I can't " Avni whisper yelled , she was afraid of performing in front of so many people and also after "his" spectacular performance….

"You can't say no now, the announcement has already been made..." Aaniya shrugged nonchalantly while Avni glared at her before stepping on the stage, she closed her eyes , took a deep breath and started singing....

"Maana ke hum yaar nahi....

Lo tai hai ke pyaar nahi....

Maana ke hum yaar nahi...."

Neil heard her soothing voice, he felt connected, he felt a sudden pull towards the source of the music, which made him to came back inside to look at the source of the music and he was left amazed by the scene in front of him, he was adoring her without his knowledge while she glanced at him once and again got back to her song, closing her eyes.....

"Fir bhi nazre ....

Na tum milana...

Dil ka aitbaar nahi...

Maana ke hum yaar nahi...."

Everyone clapped while she smiled and got down the stage....

Neil was looking at her continuously. …

Everyone complimented her including Ali and except Alia....

Neil didn't like the way Ali was seeing or talking with Avni, and he himself didn't know why...

" Woohoo!! That was amazing, super se upar type performance, right guys? After all, friend kiski h…", Aaniya proudly raised her imaginary collar….

" Uhh!! Self obsessed!! " Family members facepalmed themselves…

" Ok so the last and the much awaited performance of the day is here , of course, it's time for our bride and groom's performance, so come on guys rock the stage..." Aaniya announced and stepped off the stage making way for Saumya and Shivansh, while Shivansh forwarded his hand making Saumya blush , she held his hand and he escorted her to the stage

They danced romantically on Dhadak from movie Dhadak while everyone else adored the new couple....

" Aww how romantic!! Well guys that's it for today, hope you all had a great time here, now I'm hungry, you all too have some "pet puja" (a Hindi idiom meaning to satisfy our stomachs , by providing it food) , will meet on mehandi, Thanks for coming, see yaa...." With that the performances ended and everyone went towards the food stall to have some "pet puja"....

The day finally ended with Avniya teasing Saumya and Shivansh, Alia taunting and passing comments and making faces , Ali trying to flirt with Avni and Neil getting irritated by the same, Aarush and Aaniya's chupke chupke pyaar , (Secret love ) Avneil's occasional eyelocks and stealing glances with some indirects on each other and fights too....

All in all it was an amazing evening, The guest had left, and the family members too called it a night....

Both Avneil were looking at the sky and thinking about each other's song, no doubt he was an amazing singer but she felt pain in his song as if he need someone in his life to heal him, someone to love him, she felt a sense of longing in his voice while he felt her voice to be so soothing as if trying to calm someone and drain all the pain from life…..

" Uhh!! Avni stop thinking about it!! Why will he need any one? He isn't in any kind of pain bcoz he loves to give others pain, remember how he dropped you on the ground mercilessly, but then he saved me too, many times actually….

Arghhh!! forget everything and just sleep, you idiot" Avni said trying to get him out of her head….

" Arrrgh!! Why am I even thinking about her..... she is crazy, an Ajooba she can't soothe anyone, she is just, uff!! stop thinking about her Neil and try to sleep...." His mind was occupied with her like her with his….

"Safar khoobsurat hai....

Manzil se bhi....."
