I argue with her?

Vedant Dixit

"Dude, the girl has one hell of a temper."

Samar said getting in the driving seat.

"I know. But it was your fault too." I said putting my seatbelt on.

"Are you my friend or hers? Stop defending her." He whined.

"I am not defending her. I know she over-reacts but you were at fault too. Just accept it." I said and started checking my mails.

"Whatever." He said and one specific message caught my attention.

I opened the picture and it was a wedding invitation.

Kavya Singhania weds Arhaan Khurrana.

I just chuckled humourlessly.

Well, she is finally going to have her dream wedding. It is just not going to be with me.

"Hey! What is it? You seem lost." Samar asked.

"I have a wedding invitation." I said and he looked at me confused.

"Kavya's." I said and he clenched his jaw.

"That bit— he started but stopped when I glared at him.

"I've told you numerous times not to call her that. No matter whatever happened she still means something to me. Even if it is a friend." I said to him and he glared at me.

"You just can't see her true colours. She was never the one for you. A friend? Does she care about your feelings Vedant? She doesn't. Stop being so nice to her." He yelled at me.

"Let's drop it." I said and he focused on driving again. I just kept my head on the headrest and went back to the day when she left me.

Flashback

"We can't continue this Ved." She said holding my hand.

"What's wrong, Kavya?" I asked tensed.

"You know I belong to Singhanias! Singhanias is a brand. My parents just straight away denied me after I told them about us." She said.

"But what is the problem? I have my own company. It is not like I am not earning enough." I said confused.

"You don't understand. I know you own your own company but Dad wants me to get married to someone who would give me the same lifestyle he does." She said.

"Kavya, I'll give you the same lifestyle. Obviously, you'll have everything you want. I don't understand how your dad is concerned about it." I said.

"You have your own company, I know. But you know that as compared to us you have nothing. My dad can buy your company in a flick of his fingers. You handle your Dad's business too which was flourishing at particular period of time but now it is just going downhill since a few years." She said.

And I just closed my eyes trying to control my anger.

Did she just insult my company?

"You can tell your Dad to find someone as rich as you. Go ahead." I said leaving her hand.

"Ved, I didn't mean to insult you." She said again holding my hand.

"You didn't just insult me. You've insulted my efforts and my father. I won't tolerate anyone insulting him. I am trying to convince the Board for giving me the CEO's position. And knowing it you still went ahead and insulted all my efforts." I said again keeping her hand aside.

"I am sorry." She said as she started crying.

"All the best for your future. And don't worry you can still count me as your friend." I said with a small smile and left.

Flashback Ends

"She's still on your mind?" Samar asked and I got out of my memories.

"I love her, Samar. It is not a small word. I meant it when I told her that I love her everytime." I said.

"But sometimes, situations are not convinient." I said looking out of the window.

"You blame situation and not her?" He asked.

"How can I blame her? She was right. My dad owns a bigger business then Singhania's but do I have it in my hand. No. I have the business I have started with my own efforts and that is my pride. It is her choice. I can't force her." I explained it to him.

He just shook his head and muttered,

"You can never change."

.

.

I was just sitting at my office working when my phone started ringing.

Why is Kavya calling me?

It is her wedding in a few days.

"Hello." I said answering her call.

"Ved. Can we meet?" She asked in a strained voice.

"Sure. But what's wrong?" I asked worried.

"Just meet me. I'll tell you. But we can't meet in some renowned cafe. There is a cafe in the other side of town. I'll send you the address please come on time." She said hanging up.

There's definitely something up with her!

In the meantime there was a mail in my inbox from the board member of Dixit Industries.

Which is my grandfather.

Oh! Did I mention?

The reason of all my efforts going in vain is the fact that the Director of Dixit Industries is My grandfather- Randir Dixit.

My mom & Dad had a love marriage which was not accepted by grandpa and grandma. So, Dad obviously had his position in the industry but he was disowned by his own parents. After Dad's demise everything just got worst for us. It was my Dad's dream to reconcile his family and see me sitting on the chair as the CEO.

I'm going to keep trying till my last breath!

Taking a deep breath I opened the mail after reading through the mail I concluded that he wanted to have yet another meeting with me proving how I am not capable of handling the company.

Great!

I reached the cafe and looked around. The cafe was quite cozy and it had homey vibes. I don't know why it was very comfortable.

Just then someone came and bumped into my back.

"Oowwww!" I heard a female's voice or let me say a specific man hater female's voice.

Her again!

I turned around ready to have another round of how I should not exist and It was all my fault.

"You! You again! Ohh god! Why does he always have to do this to me?" She said rolling her eyes.

"Bumping into you, is the worst way to start my day with." She said glaring at me.

"I don't understand what is your problem with me." I said furrowing my brows.

"That you are a man." She said shrugging.

"Now see, you could've just turned around and apologised but no you're arguing with me. This is how men are, egoistic." She said pointing her index finger at me.

Someone just save me!

"But the moment I turned around you started with your drama." I said.

"I don't want to talk to you. Get away. Arghhh! I don't know why I have to come across to you every alternate day." She said irritated.

I just want to pull all my hair out!

"I can't even argue with you. Just go ahead." I said irritated.

Me getting irritated is like a rare thing!

And this girl manages to do that too.

Rolling her eyes she took two steps ahead and then called me,

"Ayeee Mr. Richie rich."

"Yess, Ms. I hate all men." I replied to her and she scowled.

"Just make sure the next time we come across each other you leave without arguing. It just spoils my mood you know." She said flipping her hair and she left.

Wait! What?

I argue with her?

Spoil her mood?

Such a pain this girl is!
