Chapter 4

Dean is so happy that finally he can get away with those years he had with her ex. His broke up with his ex was the best idea he’s had in a while.

It’s not like Dean was a bad person or anything, or a bad boyfriend; he was sweet, neat and focused. He just can't see himself with her, continuing that relationship when he already knew it was broken.

He can't blame her for finding a man who's better and compatible with her.

They didn’t fit but everything on those 2 years was fun. Where before her ex used to like how conservative Dean was, now it felt like the reason why is that their relationship is so boring. Being a gentleman and an understanding man is not every girl's dream.

Now, he is willing to change that.

Before fancy dinner dates and walks are his ways. He's just understanding, he doesn't get jealous because he trusts his ex girlfriend. But everything has changed when his ex cheated. He trusted her, but why is it his fault that he failed to keep her woman?

Monica is right, Dean has to play games.

Monica is chill and kind, she isn't the typical girl who likes heroic stories, because she can protect herself. She's an energetic girl who likes adventures. From his highschool days, Dean sees Monica as a close friend. They do enter classes together, normally eat together, and do things what friends do.

Yes. And this is the first time he'd encounter such an agreement like this. To have a relationship like this is mind blowing.

Should he play like a wild guy that is hunger of love? Should Monica completely make up for his loss?

"I think we should sign agreement." Dean spurred out words without his mind thinking.

Monica shocked as of hearing that. But shocked that she already knew the fact that he'll be asking for that like most stories usually do.

"Ohhh" her mind completely went blank as she heard that unexpected question. "I have nothing to lose, you also have nothing to lose, is there a thing that we should legalize?" She said.

"Yes. The emotional stability of person may come in hand. We should also set boundaries. We are doing this for me to move on right?" Dean.

Monica laughed lightly, "I know the reason now why your ex broke up with you..."

"Why. I just want a fallback."

"Sure where's the contract? You're under estimating me? Show."

Monica brought pen and paper.

"Boundaries? Sure." Monica said.

"First of all. No feeling involved. I've treated you as a friend and will continue doing so."

Monica burst out of laughter. "Is there a friend who cross the boundaries? Like having sex in the club, making your ex jealous? But okay. I have no intention of falling in love with you. It's just that it's so funny."

"I am just being--"

Monica shaked her hand. "No need to explain. Next"

"Don't put salt on wounds. Meaning we should be careful with our words. If it's not comfortable talking about it, we should stop. Don't comment on family problem, personal problems and past situations"

"Oki. I'm just good at it"

"We can do whatever we want but we have to ask consent. If both parties agrees. Then good"

"Ok"

"No one should know about this contract"

"That's easy"

"Lastly. One should be responsible for our actions and consequences. If something happened. One should take responsibility"

"Good." Monica.

"I'll add a clause !! Because it will be beneficial to both parties!!"

"What is it?"

"The first one who fell in love, or the one who violate our first clause, he/she will be penalized with 1 million pesos!"

"Sure. That'll be impossible for me. It will be your loss"

"Then great, let's seal it with a kiss!" Monica kissed the paper. It marked. He also kissed Dean to transfer her lipstick, "kiss it!" She was excited.

"No."

But Monica put the paper on Dean's lips. "Easy." She grinned.
