Chapter Five: Zyra is divorce

The divorce process began when Alpha met with his lawyer, whom he had requested to prepare the divorce papers.

"I watched him bring in a new lady last night; I think he is done with Norah." Zyra was still speaking with Lynn when she heard a voice from the sitting room.

"Let's check what is happening." Lynn told her. She looked from upstairs and noticed that it was Norah and Elaine fighting over Alpha Leo; he had arrived home from work without Zyra be aware.

"How did she come in, and when did Alpha return that we didn't hear the sound of his cars?" Lynn speaks.

"That's what I can't tell." She said, speaking so weakly; her voice had gone so deep; she had cried enough.

"They will settle it themselves. I'm just hurt seeing that I share my man with any woman." She felt hurt more.

"That's one of the reasons why you have to work harder to keep him or you'll quiet the marriage." Lynn suggested.

"I love him, am ready to stay with him, and my desire is for him to see me as his wife." She added.

in the sitting room.

"Finally, you have decided to dump me." Norah yelled at Alpha.

"You said it with your mouth." He answered her and continued. "This is my new darling, the love of my life; you are already an old fashion. And never you tried challenging my words; I am done with you." He sounded to Norah.

"I pity your wife." Said Norah. "And for you," she pointed at Hailey, "get ready to end the way he ends with me. He has ended the two-year relationship I have with him"

"He is my man, and I trust him." Hailey replied.

Norah calm down

"Alpha, I am so sorry for the way I have spoken to you. I love you. Please don't do this to me. Remember the time we have spent together." Norah beg.

"I thought you had grown wings to talk to me like a child." He yelled at her and added "Just as I have said earlier, it is over between us."

Norah pleaded more, but he stood by his word, and when she wanted to hold his feet, he asked that his bodyguard throw her out. Zyra was watching and dropping tears; she had cried more watching how Alpha was so romantic to Hailey.

"What are you doing there, you bitch?" He said to Zyra, he heard are growing from the upstairs and asked, as he looked up. She quickly rushed to her bedroom.

While Alpha and Hailey go to the bedroom like wise. There in the bed room, Alpha kissed and had sex with Hailey, which he enjoyed more.

"When will she be out of this house?" Hailey asked.

"Soon, the divorce papers will be ready; she needs to go so quick." He is now comfortable with divorcing Zyra.

Two days later, Zyra was sitting in the sitting room when Alpha's lawyer, Bar Kris, came in.

"Welcome, and how may I help you?" Zyra asked him as she stared at him.

"Can I sit?" He asked her.

"I need to know you more before giving you an open hand in my house." She added.

" Am sorry for acting so." He apologize and continue "Alright! I am barrister Kris, Alpha Leo lawyer." He said.

That gave Zyra the thought that she might already be divorced or that the house might have been sold while Alpha had gone with Hailey to a new place of settlement without her notice.

She remained silent and later spoke.

"So what next?" She asked him.

He sat, placing his briefcase on his laps, he brought out the divorce papers.

"Here are divorce papers, madam, you need to sign." He presented it to her.

"Do you mean alpha divorce me!" She sounded shocked.

"Madam, with what you have seen, he have divorce you. Please sign the papers." He said it again.

Before Now, Zyra wasn't aware of Barr Kris, since Alpha his her from knowing more of his friends and business affairs. She signed the papers, reluctantly.

Bar. Kris coming out, he put a call to Alpha.

"She has signed the papers." He said.

"Good, she needs to leave my house now." Alpha replied. He put a call across to his guards, who are at home, to throw Zyra out of the house; she is no longer his wife. He said to them.

"Madam, we have been asked to throw you out of the house before Alpha returns from work." A guard spoke.

"Don't you have respect anymore?" She asked him. I Am yet to recover from the shock of what he has done, and here you are being so rude to me." She yelled at him.

"I'm just doing my job, ma." He Answered.

Zyra sat more on the cushion, and seeing she wasn't ready to go, he dragged her.

"Will you lay off your hands from me? Shouted Zyra to the guard, yet he still held her tide.

"What is going on here?" Lynn asked; she had be busy in the inner room when this was going on.

"Alpha had me divorced and requested I be thrown out of his house immediately."

"How,, when? Lynn became so confused. She watched Zyra being dragged out of the house, including Chloe, who had watched the drama from her room.

"I pity the innocent lady with her pregnancy. With this going on outside, it is a sign that Alpha has finally divorced her." Chloe said to herself, as she lacks the strength to help her out.

Zyra was finally thrown out; her belongings were also given to her. She sat at the front of the gate outside the house. She looked and saw Alpha approaching with his entourage.

He drew closer to the gate; she had blocked him from entering.

"Get that bitch out of the gate." Alpha commanded.

She was dragged again from the gate. He got in and asked that they lock the gate after her.

" Alpha....." She shouted, but the gate had been closed against her; she had no right to be in his house anymore.

Alpha called on all his workers and officially told them.

"She is no longer my wife." He pointed at Hailey and said,

"Here standing with me is Hailey; she will from today be my wife, and soon we shall commence our marriage." He sounded.

" Yes boss," They all echo.

"I am cold here and needed a place to warm my body." Zyra stood with her belongings in her hands, shivering.

She is cold, and feeling like one who was in the fridge.

"Sorry, madam, you can't get warm with my fire. As you can see, I am trying to make lunch for my customer, so I can't drag the space with you." A restaurant woman told her Zyra. She then sat at the Corner, wondering what she would do.

She was still shivering when Eric came in to get some food for himself. Seeing that the food wasn't ready, he took a step to leave the restaurant and go to a nearby restaurant where he could get what he needed.

As he made the step to do that, his got to see Zyra; she had already fallen to the ground, and due to the cold, she couldn't stand for a long time.

"Who is this lying down on the ground at this hour of the day?" Eric said, asking himself, and later drew closer. He looked and saw how Zyra had been seriously down.

"Please help." Spoke slowly and lifted her hands.

Eric is new in the town; he was scared of rendering her help, and his heart rings with the thought of what if this is a plan. But later on, he decided to take her to the hospital where he works.

"You know that the doctor won't commence medication on her without making full payment for her treatment." The hospital cashier told Eric.

Eric put hands in his pocket and brought out the exact amount, he had the money with him, so as to purchase some item after work, but needed to sacrifice it with the aim of saving a life.

"Here is the money; let medication begin immediately." He dropped the amount needed before Zyra will be attended to by the doctor.

"Where do you see her?" the doctor asked Eric while in the office, thinking about how Eric had helped someone with whom he had no trace of her relation.

"Do you know her relation?" He asked Eric.

"No, I only help out to save a life." Eric answered.

"That's very kind of you, but if anything happens to her, you won't be able to trace her family members to show your innocence." Nevertheless, she is badly affected with cold, and as it stands, she is pregnant."

"Pregnant?" Eric asked, he was shock.

"Yes, pregnant, the doctor answered.

"And she had be there outside under the cold with the pregnancy; this means that she has a husband, or probably has a man in her life." Eric added.

"When she wakes, you will get to know more about her yourself." The doctor told him.

"Before that, how were you able to pay for her hospital bill?"

"I borrowed from a friend and will pay soon." He answered, and stood to attend to his work.

Some hours later, after Eric have be through with his work, he decided to wait behind to keep Zyra companion before going home.

Zyra woke and was hungry. She told Eric, and he got her something to eat.

She was eating while sitting on the bed, feeling so weak around her body.

"Does it mean you have no home here?" Eric asked her, looking into her eye.

"You are the only person I know for now; you saved me, a stranger in Kovan. I do not know my ins and outs here." She answered him.

"How will you be able to cope after the treatment?".

"I shall return to the street where I belong." She answered him.

"With the Pregnancy." He asked her.

Zyra became shocked.

"Did I hear you say Pregnancy?" She asked.

"Yes, the doctor confirmed to me that you are pregnant." He added, showing her the result.

"That's serious, so I left my husband's house as a pregnant woman, who then would help me out. Old Chloe had told me about this, but I didn't believe her." She weep.

"This is not the time to weep, nor is it the time to groan. You need to think of what to do next after you have been discharged, from here. Nevertheless, the doctor said that you need extra two days to be attended to, for a proper medical treatment. I know by then you should be able to have contacted your family members." He said this and stood to take his leave.

I Am an orphan, and at the same time, my husband has divorced me." She cries loudly to him.

"That must be so bad of him." He drew closer to her and held her hands. Sitting where he was initially "So sorry for that. But can I know who exactly your husband is?" He asked her more.

"He is a fisherman in a very far town. He threw me out and went away with his side chick to somewhere I do not know about." She needed to lie in order not to miss what the witch doctor had told her: that her destiny was in Kovan.

Could this be her destiny? She had no idea, but she had to be smart in her conversation.

"I have to go now; we will continue tomorrow when I resume work." Eric, after sympathizing with her, stood to leave. He have told her his occupation here in the hospital.

"He is just a cleaner in the hospital and is acting so kind to me. How then was he able to pay my bill? I know how little his salary would be." She said to herself, After Eric has gone home.

Eric got home and found Sarah still awake; she wondered what had kept him long, in his work place till that hour of the day, which he hasn't done for once.

"I had to attend to someone." He replied, Sarah.

"When have you turned to being a doctor or a medically personnel?" She asked him while he narrated everything to her and demanded food. Meanwhile, Sarah has made dinner for both of them, but she couldn't eat before now since she was wondering what had befallen Eric and his phone line wasn't reachable.

Now that he is back, she had to eat as normal as she had wanted.

"You made mention of her being pregnant, and had no place to stay" Sarah asked; he had told her about Zyra.

"Yes, yet she wasn't aware until the test was conducted on her." He answered her. "This was why I needed to make this journey of love. Who knows how kind the man was to her at the beginning? Now the marriage has shattered." He appreciates the journey he has made.

"Then get her home; let her stay with us for the moment until she has given birth." Sarah, who has a good heart, told him.

"She is a stranger; who knows if she was saying the truth?" He acted afraid.

"For the sake of her pregnancy, let's welcome her into our house. I mean, give her the benefit of doubt that she wasn't lying. You were the one who rescued her at first, you need to accomplish it in order to have your blessings in full." She admonished him.

"If you said so." He reluctantly answered.

The next day, Eric resume work in the morning. He first went to see Zyra in her ward.

"Good morning," he said to her, putting on a smiling face. She turned to see who was greeting her; meanwhile she had cried all through the night, which signs shows in her face.

"What is wrong? Your face seems not to be happy." Eric said to her, and he sat down beside her to hear her reasons.

"I felt so painful. Where will I go after here? How will I take good care of myself and the Pregnancy? You have done your part by saving my life, which I really appreciate, but I will be discharged anytime soon, which means I need to leave the hospital. Here with me is nothing, rather than my belongings, which you help me with." She said this to him, still weeping.

"I will accommodate you." He told her, and Zyra was shocked. She looked again at him.

"I don't get you; won't I distract your privacy?" She asked him. There he told her how Sarah had promised to take care of her alongside his support.

"That's kind of you and your sister. I really appreciate." She felt relaxed and had her breakfast, after which she was attended to by the doctor.

Eric had to start work immediately; he was almost late in carrying out his duty for the day. But was fast in doing it before the arrival of the doctor.

"I have decided, along with my sister, to accommodate her." He told the doctor who had asked him how he could get her a house or have an alternative for that.

"You mustn't be so kind to this point; this is a stranger and at the same time pregnant woman, and you don't know what has made her to leave the man who has impregnated her." The doctor said.

"You can't give an account of her if anything happens to her." The doctor added

"Let me take the risk and play my part in full in saving a life. I started it at the beginning and needed to complete it. She has told me her story, and from what I have learned from it, she was cheated on and divorced by her husband. Of which I am not ready to trace who he is until she has given birth. By then I should be able to have enough time and finance to make search of him, only if she is ready to be with him again." He said more and went to meet with Zyra in her ward. Zyra was so excited seeing that she she have be provided with accomodation by Eric.
