Chapter 6 - the bond that exists between them

Alex did not sleep well that night. It's been almost a week since the accident that befell him. His stab wound is getting better and he feels the need to contact his father so he could finally be with him and his girlfriend who is waiting for him but there was one thing that was bothering him ever since his stay on the island - the doctor's daughter - Katerina.

He had tried to ignore her every time they were eating meals together or every time they were left alone in the house. He stayed on his room with the door closed while she cleaned the house before going to the clinic to help her father. Alex never wanted to be rejected again just like what happened some days ago. For him, his ego was hurt and he could not feel anything but anger towards the young woman. He had no idea that the young woman was hurting every time he ignores her especially when she offers him food which he rejects every time. One Sunday morning, doctor Joshua told his daughter during breakfast that he is going to the city to procure some medical supplies for the residents in the village. "I might come back tomorrow morning or afternoon. Please lock all the doors and stay inside the house, okay, dear?" he commanded his daughter.

"Don't worry father! I will do as you said. Please be careful on your journey, okay? And...hmm...please buy me new clothes father! And also buy for Alex..."his daughter whispered to him. The doctor nodded and he also reminded the young man to take care of the house and guard his only child. After the doctor left, Alex went to his room as usual, leaving the young woman in the kitchen. Katerina started to prepare the lunch when she heard a voice from behind - it was Alex. He was standing in front of the door, smiling at her. "Do you want some help, Kate?" he asked.

"No, I'm fine! You can stay in your room and wait for me to call you. I will be done in an hour, so please, leave me..."

"Why? What if I want to stay here and watch you as you cook? Is there a problem with that?"

"There is none. If you do want, then sit there and observe while I cook."

The young woman was feeling nervous again. She could feel his eyes looking at her - the intense in his gaze, the passion in his eyes...his lips that he keeps on licking whenever their eyes meet. "Kate, do you hate me?" he asked suddenly as he approached the young woman from behind.

"Why did you ask? There is no reason why I should hate you..."

"Then, do you love me?" Alex's arms were already embracing her waist while his face was pressed on hers. Katerina could not move and could not push him away.

"Please...plea..se...Alex I'm cooking, let go of me..." she pleaded but the young man's hands were already on her breasts, feeling them.

"Answer me first before I let you go...Do you love me?"

"Yes...I do! Can you let go of me now? Your hands were busy touching me all over...I could not even move..."

Alex removed his hands from her breasts, turned around and kissed the young woman on her lips. "I love you too! You are the first woman that I have loved sincerely and I will not let you go. From now on, you are going to stay with me, okay? When your father comes tomorrow, I will tell him that I wanted to marry you and bring you to the city. But first, I want you to be mine...tonight!"

Katerina did not understand what the young man meant but she tried not to think about it at all. During lunch, Alex sat beside her. His eyes were observing her again. The young woman, on the other hand, was glad to see those gray-green eyes of his taking control of everything she had. He was very quiet, only taking in the food that were placed on the table. Katerina could not help but ask him - his family or even if he already has a girlfriend. "Alex...hmm...do you still live with your dad and your stepmother in a mansion? Do you have a girlfriend? I'm sorry but I just want to know...if you don't mind."

The young man chuckled at her questions. "Yes I do but I wanted to live with you in a condominium unit that I owned personally. I had one actually, aside from the house that I bought away from the city which I intend to use as a vacation house...for the two of us...As for the other question...well...I do have but when I returned home, I want to break up with her - you are more important to me than her, I swear!"

The young woman bit her lips in jealousy. How could he even think that she would come in between them and ruin their relationship? She knows that it is not right to do such thing but she loves him and however painful it is, she feels that there is some kind of bond that exists between them which is strong enough to pull her into his heart forever. Katerina did not say anything after hearing his answer. Alex became worried but he had no intention of fooling her. He loves her. The anger that he felt from his first rejection was gone when she admitted to him that she loves him too. "Kate, are you okay? Please believe me when I say that I love you! I have never uttered those words before a woman except you! I must admit that I do have some affairs but none of them are serious. The woman that I mentioned to you...well...my father wants her to be my wife because it will make our business became bigger and better but I don't feel anything towards her...it is you that my heart wants! And even if my father would disagree with my decision, I know that in the end, he will accept you as the woman of my choice - the one that I love!"

"Oh, Alex! If only things are not that complicated between us! If only you are not a rich man's son but an ordinary man with no big business to take care of! Maybe we could live happily together on this island with my father...and you don't have to marry someone whom your father chose for you..."

Tears were starting to flow from the young woman's beautiful eyes, blocking her eyesight. She was still standing in front of the table to remove the utensils and plates that they used when Alex went to her side and wiped the tears on her cheeks. He could not help but admire the pretty little face of the young woman. "Please stop crying, Kate! I told you that I am going to tell my dad that I won't marry her anymore but instead, I will marry you! Please continue cleaning here, I'm going to leave you now. Tonight, I'll make you mine or even after you are done here, if you want!" he planted a kiss on her forehead then left the sobbing woman.

After cleaning the mess left inside the kitchen, Katerina went to the bedroom and found Alex waiting for her. At first, the couple planned to go the beach to watch the sun sets but Alex, whose arms were wrapped on Kate's, changed his mind - he wanted to stay with her until night, embracing her tight. While they were hugging each other, Alex could not contain his emotions anymore. He started to kiss her passionately, deeply, and undress the young woman until only her underwear were left on her gorgeous figure. He kissed her hard and kept his hands busy wandering all over her body. He had found his target which was located between Katerina's thighs. After removing his clothes, he started to kiss her passionately again, being cautious on how he would deal with a woman who had never experienced having been with a man before.

Katerina could not help but moaned his name, on the pleasures that Alex had been giving her. It was her first time and she does not know how to react properly. The pain she felt after their intercourse was so terrible that it made her cry. She lost her virginity to the man that she loves and she had no qualms about it. Because of the pain and of tiredness after what happened between them, she fell asleep on Alex's chest and was only awakened when she felt kisses on her forehead given to her by the young man. "Alex...what are you doing?" she asked.

Alex, on the other hand, only smiled at her and continued kissing her, this time on her lips, then he stopped, gazed at her intensely and said, "I love you Kate! Thank you for giving yourself to me! I do feel sorry that I have hurt you knowing that it was your first time...don't worry later on it won't hurt that much...I promise!" after speaking those words, Alex continued to caress her body and they ended up making love again. Both were burned with passion and could not stop until the evening comes.

Realizing that they were both hungry, Katerina immediately got up from the bed and noticed the red stains on the sheets, aside from the fact that she was limping and could not walk properly. "Alex, please help me remove the sheets. I need to wash them before my father comes tomorrow or else, we are going to be in big trouble!"

The young man chuckled and quickly followed the order of his lover. Afterwards, she placed the sheets on the washing machine and went to the kitchen to cook dinner for themselves. Katerina made a simple dinner that night which was eaten very eagerly by her lover. She could not take her eyes off him and vice-versa. Both felt very happy being left alone. They did not talk much during the dinner but afterwards, Katerina was left in the kitchen while Alex went to the room, fixing the bed anew because they rolled over it before they even had dinner. The couple spent the night together, without fear that the doctor might come and surprised them that night but fortunately for both, he did not come. They both slept after making out again which made them very tired and sleepy.

The doctor went home early in the morning, bringing the medicine supplies that he needed for the clinic and also the clothes that he promised to buy for his daughter and the stranger. Both greeted him warmly and the doctor was surprised to see them both looking very happy. Even during lunch, Alex ate all the food that his daughter gave him and always complimenting her with it. He was smiling all throughout the day which made the doctor become very worried. "What happened to this young man?" he muttered to himself. "I hope he did not do something bad against my dear Kate, but my dear child also looked so happy! Oh, no! What if...what if they have slept together while I a was away? I have to talk to that young man tonight! How dare him touch my daughter!" he got mad at the thought of the young man betraying his trust - more so on the thought that her daughter had fallen for a man that she barely knew.

When doc Joshua finished checking the stab wound of the young man, he commanded him to follow him outside the house. They sat on the bench on the side of their dwelling, facing the beach. The wind was cold and it brings shivers all over Alex's body. He had no idea that the doctor realized that he already slept with his daughter but whatever happened he would convince him to let him marry his only daughter. "Sit down Alex," the doctor said. "Your would is almost healed. I want to know if you want to contact your family now especially your father." he added.

The young man nodded and replied, "Yes, doctor. If you could help me, please let me borrow your phone so I could send a message to him. I know that I have worried him so much and he may think that I am already dead...but...I have to be careful. I want that bitch to think that she was successful in getting rid of me!"

"Here is my phone! Go ahead and send a message to your father. After that I want to talk about something else...regarding you and my daughter."

Alex took the phone. He had shown no reaction when the doctor mentioned that he wanted to discuss with him the topic relating to the young woman whom he already claimed as his girlfriend. Alex started to type a message to his father that says - dad I'm alive. Please don't tell anyone. Please come here as soon as possible. I will send the address to you - your dear son - Alex. After sending the message to his father, he suddenly realized that his stepmother might intercept his message and she would be the one to come eventually to kill him. He was about to send a message again when the phone rang - he hesitated to answer the phone for a while but he wanted to know who was calling him...

"Hello!...Hello!...Answer me! Alex is that you! This is your dad!...Please son, answer! I am alone inside my car and I just got out from my office...Hello!" the chairman's voice was quivering from excitement on receiving a message from his only child.

"Dad...dad...is that really you?"

"Of course, son! Alex where have you been? I've been so worried about you! What happened son!"

"Dad, I could not tell you anything about it right now unless you come here. Please right down the address that I will send you after turning off the phone and send a message back to me that you got it...and please erase the address quickly. I don't want your wife to know that I have contacted you..."

As promised, after receiving the address sent by his son to him, he immediately erased the message and write it on small sheet of paper then folded it and hid it on the pocket of his trousers. He was so glad that his son was alive and he would come to him immediately to bring him home again. He also promised himself that he would not let anyone unpunished even if the person involved was his wife. Chairman Kraishek loved his son so much, more than his life and more than his wealth.
