Chapter 5 - Monterio's heiress

It was almost a week since the disappearance of Alex but the chairman is still hopeful that his son will come back to him alive. His hopes of seeing him again arises from the fact that there was no body that have been found anywhere that resembled his son. For the chairman, his son had a good chance of surviving whatever accident had occurred to him. Though his son was missing, he continued to his daily activities as the chairman. He did not alert the board about his missing son, instead, he told them during the meeting held two days ago that his son was on a vacation and he expects him to come back soon.

"Sir, there is some woman who wanted to come to your office but she had no appointment..."asked his secretary.

"Who is she?"

"She said that her name was Jenna Montereal. She told me that she is the CEO''s girlfriend. Can I let her in, sir?"

"Yes, let her in! Please order some coffee too!"

A tall and gorgeous young woman entered the office of the chairman. She has long black hair, with long eyelashes, brown eyes, straight nose and a beautiful body figure. Everyone who knew her admired her beautiful face and figure. The chairman greeted her with a smile while the young woman embraced him and kissed him on his forehead. "Hello, sir! How are you?" she said while her eyes roamed around the room, searching for something.

"I'm good, Jenna! You really are so pretty, dear! My son had chosen the right girl for him! Please sit down, Jenna."

The young woman sat on the chair facing the chairman. "Thank you for the compliment, sir! But your son does not care about my looks, it seems! And he even told me that he would only marry me because he was just following your decision..."

"He was teasing you, Jenna! Alex sometimes loves to tease, he does not mean it. Besides, you are the only girl that I would accept as my daughter-in-law, remember that!"

His visitor smiled and sipped the coffee that was brought by the chairman's secretary. The beautiful heiress was the daughter of chairman Rogelio Monterio, owner of the Monterio Food Corporation. As the only child, she was pampered and given everything that she wanted by her doting parents. There is nothing that Jenna could not have, as she always tell her friends - what Jenna wants, Jenna gets. She even brags to her friends that someday she will marry a handsome young man who has been her crush ever since she saw him at a charity event. When asked by her friends who the lucky man was, she quickly gave the name of Alex, who was known in their society as the hot heir of the Kraishek group companies and the next chairman who will replace his father when the latter retires someday.

"By the way sir, I have not seen Alex last night at a party held by his friend. You did not come too, I wonder what happened to him..." Jenna's eyes were on the cup of coffee that she was drinking. She lifted her head when she heard the chairman spoke and was worried about what he had informed her.

"My son is missing, Jenna!" the chairman announced with a heavy heart. "But do not worry, I'm looking for him everywhere. It is just a matter of time before I find him. Your engagement party will not be canceled, and as soon as he resurfaces, we will talk about it together with your parents."

"Thank you sir! I hope to see him soon! I miss him so much! Do you think that he really likes to be engaged with me then marry me? I know that he had previous affairs which I don't care about because after our wedding, I won't allow him to even look at other women except to me!" Jenna smiled on what she said which also made the chairman grinned.

"Well, my son is all yours, dear! I just hope that you would give me lots of grandchildren in the future who have the same eyes as my good looking son, hahaha!" chairman Ivan laughed out loud, thinking how happy he would be with children around him, competing for his attention.

The young woman blushed, of course, she wanted to have children with the man she likes even if it means that she will sacrifice the beauty of her figure. "I will give you lots of grandchildren, sir! All of them will vie for your affection and all of them will carry your beautiful genes."

"Your genes and my son's genes will produce beautiful children, Jenna! Aside from the fact that my son is smart and a kind person, you know! By the way, Jenna, please do not tell your parents about my missing son, okay? As I've told you before, he will be back after a week or two. He could have been somewhere taking a vacation..."

"With another woman?" Jenna interrupted the chairman. She is feeling jealousy engulfing her body. The thought of Alex being with another woman is giving her anxiety and she could not help but imagine him wrapping his arms with another woman that is as pretty as she is. She even thought of him not coming back and their engagement would be canceled which made her more and more worried.

"Jenna, no! Don't think about my son having an affair with another woman! He had flings, yes! But when it comes to a serious relationship, well I know that he will not cheat, okay? After all, he likes you and he will not exchange you with another woman whom I would never accept as his partner!"

The young woman was glad to hear that she is the only person that the chairman wanted for his son. Contented on what he said, she got up from her seat and said goodbye to the father of her future husband.

"Goodbye sir! I hope next time, I will find Alex here!" she told the chairman then went out of the office. After meeting the chairman, the heiress called her friends and meet with them at a coffee and cake shop located near her condominium building. The heiress placed herself near the window as she awaits for her two closest friends who were also spoiled brats like her.

While waiting for them, Jenna looked at the pictures on her mobile phone and saw herself with Alex, smiling together. She took them while they were enjoying the party. After the party, she asked Alex to bring her to her condo unit where they stayed the night together. Jenna did not hesitate to give him what he wants. She had been with other men before but only Alex made her very happy by enjoying every minute they have spent together. She could not forget his passionate kisses, embraces and the way he touches every part of her body which made her asked for more. After that night, Alex could be seen regularly at the condo building leaving very early in the morning.

"Now, he is nowhere to be found. What if he gets tired of me and look for someone new? Hmmp! I will not allow that to happen! He is mine now and even if he had been playing with other girls, I would take him back! He is mine and I won't share him with other women!" she murmured to herself while looking outside, waiting for her friends.

After a few minutes, her friends came and sat beside her. The two women were also as pretty as she was but she was more attractive and a lot richer. "Hello Jenna, how's my gorgeous friend doing?" asked Luisa Rendor, a twenty-two year old woman, with blond hair and blue eyes, petite and her best friend since high school.

"I'm fine, Luisa! How about you? You looked happy eh? Are you and your boyfriend planning to the tie the knot soon?" the heiress asked, her eyebrows arched a bit.

Her friend hesitated to reply on her question first but she answered it anyway. Luisa was once Alex's girl but they broke up after just a week of dating. The young woman wanted Alex to be serious in their relationship but he was not. She saw him kissing other woman which made her very mad at him. Now, she has been in a relationship for a year with a businessman ten years older than her and they are planning to get married. Her friend Jenna knew about her past but she did not care about it, she was blinded by her love to the heir of the Kraishek group of companies. For her, Alex could sleep with any women he wants as long he is tied to her and as long as she would produced kids who have green-grey eyes like him. "Well, Jen, we are planning to get married next year...hmm...how about you and Alex, are you planning to get married too? You know he does not like to be tied down to anyone...I know that very well..."

Their other friend, Regina Mateo, another twenty-two year old beauty joined their conversation. Unlike the two women, she did not have any relationship with the heir but she had slept with him once when she was drunk and that did not happen again. She told her friends about it but she told them that she could not remember anything except for the hot kisses she had received from the young man.

"You two really want to get married, eh? Wow, it's good to be single and meet as many men as possible! Look at me, as a single woman, I could do whatever I want, go to places that I wanted to go and meet hot and gorgeous men...and sometimes...sleep with them!" Regina winked at her two friends and then smiled but the two women frowned at her independence. The two women wanted to have a family with a husband and children but she would not want any of those - she wanted to be free and without any dictating her what to do.

"Seriously? The two of you are angry at me? Hahaha! Well, sorry, okay? If you want to get married, then go ahead! I'd rather be single all my life than to have a husband who would cheat on me and leave me crying!"

"Are you referring to me, Regine?" Jenna smirked, her brows were knitted and her eyes were like two-pointed daggers that were darted on her friend who was smiling at her. "I know that Alex and you have a one-night stand and I don't care about it! I also know about Luisa's affair with him and I don't care about it too! He will change when we get married, do you hear me?"

Regina did not reply but it was Luisa who respond, "Calm down, Jen! We are here as friends and not as enemies, okay? If Regine does not want to get married, then fine! You and I wanted to have our own families and that's fine too! Let us change topic, okay, girls?"

Both women agreed. While they eat, they talked about the heiress of the Schlossbergs - Amelie. She is not as pretty as the three women but she is humble and kind, and she was rarely seen in parties, unless it's her parents sponsoring them. Their hotels and spa resorts were the direct competitors of the Kraisheks but they were in good terms. In fact, chairman Ivan Kraishek once told the Schlossberg chair that he wanted an arrange marriage between his son and the heiress but the latter declined - he wanted his daughter to choose freely the person that she wanted and that man was an engineer named Jonathan Ilustre, an orphan who grew up in the streets but was given an opportunity by the chairman and has been with his care ever since.

"I've heard that the plain-looking Schlossberg heiress is now engaged to an engineer who was an orphan, do you know it too, girls?" it was Regine who started the conversation. Both her friends nodded their heads in agreement, then Jenna added, "Well, who else would want a woman who is not endowed with beauty like us but a poor and good-for-nothing engineer, who, if I may conclude would only be after her wealth! What else could he get from her anyway?"

The three women laughed. They are mocking the young woman because of her looks but they could not judge her when it comes to her behavior and attitude. "Aside, from that, Regine, Jenna," retorted Luisa. "That engineer is very handsome and rumors have been circulating that he had been paid by the chairman so as to marry his daughter! Imagine that! She could never find a man to marry her so she had to use her money to buy a husband? Hahaha! Seriously, money could buy anything!!

The three friends laughed again. They did not notice that there were two people behind that were listening to them. Tired of hearing the laughter of the three women, and the mockery of an innocent woman, a man of twenty-seven years old got up and went to their table. He was of medium height, with well-toned body, dark brown eyes and hair and had a straight nose. The handsome guy stood in front of them, making the three women stopped from their conversation.

"I hope there are other useful topics that you could talked about instead of talking behind someone who never did anything wrong to all of you!" Jonathan Ilustre was fuming mad as he faced the three women. His fiancee, Amelie, held his arms and whispered to him not to say anything else to the surprised women.

The women, in return, arched their eyebrows, showing the couple that they were not intimidated by the engineer's words. Jenna got up, walked around him and retorted, "Are you engineer Ilustre? Wow! You really looked handsome in person! By the way, I'm Jenna Monterio!" she offered her hand to the engineer but he did not accept it. Instead, he glared at her and said, "Though you look so nice outside Ms. Monterio, you are nothing compared to my fiancee! You are a slut and what a pity that someone like Alex Kraishek would take a liking in you!" his voice was a bit higher. Jenna does not know the engineer personally. Her information she had on him was only based on what her father told her. "Honey, please stop! Let us better leave them!" begged his fiancee. She was worried that her fiance would make a scene at the coffee and cake shop. "I'm sorry Ms. Monterio! Nathan doesn't mean what he said. Please excuse us!" Amelie then grabbed Jonathan's arms and dragged him away from the three women but Jenna stood on their way and slapped the engineer. The couple was shocked on what the heiress did but they continued on their way out, ignoring the young woman's sudden outburst of emotion.

Jenna's friends were also surprised when the engineer called her a slut, they had no idea that the latter knows their friend. "Jenna, do you know him?" Regina asked.

"Of course not! I've only met him today!" she replied.

"But why did he call you a slut? Maybe a one - night stand?" Luisa asked her again.

A little smile went out of the heiress's mouth when she suddenly remembered the night, some three years ago at the club where she went with some of friends. She was enjoying sipping whisky when she noticed a handsome young man drinking alone. She went to his table and flirted with him. She was the one who pressed her lips on him, then she also wandered her hands on his thighs. They were both drunk that time that they ended up satisfying each other's desires. The following morning, she got up quickly but she already saw the engineer smiling at her. He gave her his name which was Jonathan Ilustre. The young woman hesitated to give him her name but she did tell him. Before she left, the heiress told him to forget what happened to them and that she does not like him for he was just a poor guy who lives in a small apartment. Since then, she had forget about him and continue to date other men including Alex Kraishekl

"Well...hmm...yeah! A one-night stand that happened years back. That is why I could not even remember him but gosh! He still had a grudge on me? He even mentioned my dear Alex! Wow! His memories are so incredibly good! Hahaha!"

"Maybe she could not forget how good you are in bed, hahaha!" her friend, Luisa, teased her.

Unknown to Jenna and her friends, Jonathan had met Alex in a meeting with the Schlossberg chairman wherein they discussed a possible marriage between him and Amelie. During the meeting, Amelie told Alex that she already had someone on her mind that she wanted to marry and that was engineer Ilustre and Alex on the other hand, told them that he was in a relationship with the Monterio heiress. Jonathan smirked when he heard the young man talked about the woman that he had slept with some years ago but he kept his silence, forming on his mind the idea that Alex would become a pitiful husband having a slut wife to live with for the rest of his life.

After meeting with her friends, the Monterio heiress went home and sleep, thinking more and more about the missing heir and how much she misses him. "When he returns, I will tell him to marry me quickly! How I miss him terribly! Oh, my dear Alex! I love you so much and I won't damn care if you are with a woman now! You are mine and I will take you back, no matter what!"
