Chapter 5

Daemon's POV

Do you have something in your nose and lips." Reese looked at me.

I took a tissue and tried to wipe it off.

Any more?" I will ask

It smiled. "Let me" he took a tissue and came a little closer to me and wiped my lips. I couldn't help but look at his face.

This is the first time I look at her this close. She really has beautiful eyes.

Suddenly, I looked down at his somewhat open lips.

I swallowed in no time. it's me.." I grabbed the tissue from him and I continued to wipe.

I finished eating my ice cream, while Reese hadn't even eaten half of hers yet. Still?" I asked him smiling.

Arghh! I had too much... I feel like I'm very greedy. I laughed at what he said and his reaction. I looked at his cup, all the ice cream had melted and the flavors had mixed together.

I looked back at his face and snotty mouth. Are you cold?" I asked hugging him to his own body.

I stood up from my seat and took off my jacket before handing it to him. Here, wear this..."

It just smiled. Why? Are you slowly developing feelings for me?"

He rested both elbows on the table and rested his chin on his clasped hands while looking directly at me.

Maybe... I also looked at him while waiting for what he would say next.

Maybe... We should go?" He added with a smile. Umm.. maybe.." I said and nodded. You were expecting, weren't you?" She asked. Umm.. just a little bit." His smile grew even wider. Owhhh! Sorry for breaking your expectation."

I leaned on the chair and crossed my arms while not taking my eyes off of him. She's really different. No matter how many times I say it, I can't deny that she's different from the girls I've met. There's something in me that wants to know him completely.

Sure" What else are we sitting here for? Come on..." He grabbed my hand and pulled me upright.

We left the shop holding hands.

I looked at our two hands holding each other. I smiled as we reached the car.

He just let go of my hand when we got into the car. Arghh! Let's try again... I think their claw machine has a trick." He complained.

He must have tried ten times to get a stuffed toy inside the claw machine but he didn't get any.

His face was red and pouty as he tried to play it again.

She's fun to watch. I don't want it anymore! It's annoying!" He stormed off. I smiled and followed him.

Do you want to try that?" I asked when it stopped at the basketball area.

He didn't speak, he just looked ahead.

Even though it was leaning towards me, it was obvious that his mood had changed. It suddenly felt sad. Does he have a sad memory here?

Reese, are you okay?" I will ask.

It took a deep breath. He turned to me and smiled "Let's go there..." He said and left first. I followed him.

I just followed behind him while he was shopping for a game that he could play.

Again, I smiled when she ended up with the same claw machine.

That's the same thing you played earlier." I noticed while standing next to him and watching it. Eh, I want to get the panda stuffed toy." she said and started the game.

She was so focused trying to get the toy. Arghh! It's annoying, it's really a trick." He said annoyed.

Do you really like it?" I asked

It nodded in response.

We can just buy what you want." I suggested. He tried several times but couldn't really get it.

No. I want to struggle to get that inside. Maybe it's not for me." He said regretfully. Let's try the other claw machine, maybe you can get it there."

No, no need. Let's just leave." He said softly and left first.

I followed him. He was about to go out to go home when I passed by a toy store. I looked at Reese who just looked straight while walking.

I immediately went inside and looked for a panda stuffed toy to buy.

Where are you from? I've been looking for you for a while." He asked while standing on the side of the car. I didn't catch him when I left the toy store.

Here." I handed him a paper bag.

What is this?" He asked to take it.

Look" He opened it and looked inside. Why did you buy something like this?" He took the stuffed toy inside.

You said you like it, so I just bought it."

Thank you. But you shouldn't have bothered." It's okay. Think of that as my gift... A wedding gift."

She suddenly smiled. "Thank you."

We are now traveling back to the town house. I caught a glimpse of Reese hugging the stuffed toy I gave her.

I think it's her favorite toy.

You really like it." I said

He looked at me. "Yeah. Because it's Skye's favorite toy." Really?"

It nodded in response.

That's why he returned the claw machine earlier to play.

It's for her son, Skye.

We are now back here at the town house, after Reese and I went for a walk. He is now in his room and resting. Mary, on the other hand, has returned to Manila because she has something to attend to tomorrow morning. Mino left a few minutes after Reese and I left. My Ashton and Theo don't even know where it went. To this day it has not returned.

Only the three of us are now left here while continuing the drink that was interrupted earlier.

I suddenly felt dizzy and woke up. I looked around, the lights were off. I noticed Ashton sleeping on the other couch. Theo isn't there, maybe he's in his room.

I washed my face with my palm. I got up from my bed and walked to my room. While walking, I looked at the glass window. Someone was standing from outside. The light was on from outside so I could clearly see someone there. Based on the shape of her body, it was Reese.

What does he do outside this time?

I went straight to my room to get a jacket. I went out and went outside.

Reese? What are you doing out here?" He looked at me in surprise.

Because I can't sleep." he said while hugging himself.

I placed the jacket I was holding on both of his shoulders. It's cold, you might get sick later."

Ahh.. thank you. Eh, You? Can't you sleep too?" he asked.

The truth is, I just woke up. I was going to move to the bedroom, but I saw you here." I explain. Ahh... You don't have to accompany me here." It looks forward.

I took the lollipop I bought at the store and showed it to him.

He looked at Reese first. "It's okay, baby, he's a good guy. He's your uncle Daemon." He took the lollipop from my hand Uncle? Really?"

Why? You really look like an uncle." Reese said laughing I'm too young to be an uncle." How old are you?" She asked

24. See, you're an uncle."

My name is Skye and I'm 4 years old." I looked at him as he spoke in a small voice and showed me his four fingers.

I couldn't stop smiling because of his complexion. My name is Daemon, can we be friends?" my language

Dae Dae dae..." He said and smiled.

My heart suddenly softened when I saw her smile. No, baby.. it's Dae....mon. (daymon)" Reese repeated Dae-dae..." He said and laughed some more. Sorry, he really likes to make up names. Then that's what he'll call you." Reese explained

It's okay.. it's really cute. Compared to uncle. I look old. Admit it because..." I don't want to... Skye, don't call uncle, okay." I said and caressed his cheek.

Eh, what do you want him to call you? Uncle? Dae-dae is good. It sounds like daddy..." I looked at him and smiled.
