Chapter Three

The cloud once turned into blue and all the flowers bloom in beautiful hues, then there's the storm, the cloud turns gray and now flowers have thorns you will see.

Cassandra looks like a corpse in the casket. Her whole presence was completely disorganized. Four days of unbathed body and soul, uncombed frizzy hair strands, scattering like a bush. Her pink tee-shirt who looks like a rag ambled with her dusty jeans. And her very eyelids shadowed as dark as the unstarry nights of cloudy season. She looks worse than a zombie.

Ten minutes ago, she was crying and for the nth time she was crying again non-stop. For the record, her fingers and toes could not count how many times she cried. The night after the painful confrontation with Julius made her tears burst without refrains. She was just acting and pretending that she's okay, but no she's not. Cassandra isn't a type of woman who forgets things easily, especially those who have great value. Yes, she is a combative woman but when it comes to the people she loves it dissolves.

She threw the curtain on the apartment where she was staying so that the light could enter. Her eyes narrowed at the choked light. Her eyes were heavy; her eye bags looked like fifty kilos. She went to the refrigerator to fetch water. For the past five days, Cassandra has been eating water. She was too tired to cook and do anything, all her food was stocked in the refrigerator but she was too lazy to cook. Her body wouldn't do anything other than to lay and cry all night. For five days she had lost contact with the outside world, as if she had become a monk in what she did. No phones. No Social Media's and whatnot. Even her friend who calls her non-stop declines in the end, she does not answer it.

Is this the way to move on? She once asked herself. If this is how she will experience, she would not have entered into a relationship. The hell with Julius, she can't accept that grasshopper can do such a thing to her. She thought that they are going to the altar. But she doesn't realize that she's expecting too much. Now here she is, seemingly stupid for mourning the flirtatious man who cut her love.

Just as Cassandra's crying subsided, the moment her eyes were glued to the black trash bags where all of Julius' belongings were hidden, tears began to flow again from her eyes. She couldn't bear to watch how she will throw the things out. She could not contain her own tears as she thought of forgetting her three-year relationship with Julius. She threw the glass in the sink, she still did not have time to clean, for what else would she do to fix it if Julius did not come back to her. That would be useless.

She sat down next to the trash bags. She inserted the last picture frames of Julius' face that she had drawn with a horn. She was determined to throw all the things. Even the teddy bears that the man gave her were different, she thought, if that was what drove her to sleep now this is the reason for her sleepless nights.

All the items that Julius gave to her are already in, ready to be thrown. The room was empty, only now did she realize that only the ex's memorabilia was multiplying her belongings inside. Human size picture of the two of them, pictures that she had intentionally pasted in huge frames, laminated pick-up lines that she pasted on three thick albums and cute stuffed toys that she now thinks the contents of the four trash bags are unlucky.

She shook herself after looking around to make sure there was nothing left was left hanging or stuck in the corner of her messy and illuminated room.

She pulled the trash bags out. When the door opened, her friends frowning and frowning face immediately appeared. She stared at her as if she wanted to tweak and to the things, she was carrying. Her eyebrows rose and her gaze returned to hers.

"Really Cassandra? I really thought you were dead you stupid, so I hurried to rush here. You didn't answer my call for five days." Her friend, whom she had not yet admitted to, had already passed her and went to her little grumpy sofa. She sat in front of it and just stared at her as she took out the bags one by one from the door.

"And what are those? Are those your ex's" no balls “things?" She did not answer first she took out the last bag and went to the sink to wash her hands before facing her friend. Someone will pick up the garbage later so she just let it leave in front of the door. She will only regret it more if she is the one who voluntarily throws it away, she is also sure that she will change her mind if it happens.

"I'm sorry Marg if I didn't answer your calls. I really meant to isolate myself for a moment, I wanted to unwind and clear my mind, especially about Julius." She was explaining as if her life was in line with it, there registered her extreme grief.

"Is this what isolation means to you Cas? To be locked in a room for a few days? Look at yourself! You look like a walking rag. A woman in the process should not do that of moving on. She should be out there throwing herself to the world and having fun. "

"We are going on a trip Cassandra. Didn't you say you want to forget Julius but you do not know where and how? Then I just have the perfect spot for you." She glared at her.

"Come on Cas. It's not a loss if you try, right? Rather than lock yourself in your room, why not go out and do something productive. Also, don't refuse, I already booked the place I called one of our acquaintances there. "

"Just as I had predicted, when can I refuse you Marga?" The corner of her lips just widened. She also felt a little better.

"Where is this place and do you think we should go there?" She whimsically ask. She first consumed the juice her friend had accumulated.

"We will be going to Camp Move-On. Swear you will love that place Cassandra." Her friend smiled and giggled in excitement. She just heard the name of the place because she was definitely unlucky there, and what a perfect place for her because she was unlucky.

"Wait Margarita. Where did you find this place?" She was asking frantically. Her tone could not hide a little eagerness.

"One of our friends referred it to me. Remember Pamela?" Her brain lightened. Oh yes, I remember Pamela, She is one of those who helped her get into the mall where she works now. She used to be the manager, but quit the job when she hit a jackpot rich Fil-Am. Since, then she has not spoken to her and contacted her yet. She did not even know why Margarita contacted her again.

"Is she the one you called earlier?"

"Yes, I saw on a website that she now owns a resort and that's Camp Move On. I took the chance to call her and luckily she got as free accommodation for a week?" Her friend still smiled. It is as if the owner of the said establishment owns as much as she knows

"A week? Are you sure Marga ha! You know I have to work so I can send money to my Mom and brother. I can't just have fun there while Mom is relying on my remittance." She was damn serious. She wanted the idea to go to whatever place it was. But she can't sleep well knowing that she will have responsibilities left behind.

"This is why you should finish me first." Her friend glared at her.

"You will not lose income, I know you will reason with that so before you react pompously there, accept it." Her friend showed her ten thousand.

"Where did it come from?" Her forehead waved violently. Their salary is only six thousand so she will be fooled by ten thousand.

"Pamela gave that to me. It's not like we're just going to relax- yes that's part of it but we have something to do." Her friend added.

She became even more interested in what her friend was saying. She was listening as if she was already at the place.

"We are going to accompany Pamela because her husband is out of country. A company is just what she needs." No matter what else she asked us to do, we will just go as long as she has money. And it is not difficult to do might as well try. And besides Pamela and her are not strangers so the woman is easy to get along with. Lastly, she really wants to be able to move on with Julius, what she is doing now is unlikely to happen. If she just locked herself in a room it would take her ten years before the flood subsided in her heart. She wanted to get even with Julius, she wanted to make sure that not only him who’s happy but also herself.

"So what Cassandra, you still don’t want to come?" Her friend was waiting for her to answer. She first swallowed the puto bungbong that was glued to the fork and poured the juice into the glass.

"Call." She answered without hesitation. She just thought that after this she would be able to go back to the past, a Cassandra who's happy and unbreakable.
