Chapter 10 : Book

CYNTHIA'S POV :

I bow my head in the desk and started closing my eyes. I feel bored just listening to the discussion . I take a glimpse at her and she's listening very well . I'm not lazy . I have no problem with my academic , I even got a good grades during the exams but the problem is I feel bored during discussion even though I will listen very well.

I take a sigh and heads up look in the front , but watching the teacher discussing a lesson . I feel tired.

I look around and some of my classmates was focus while there are some are not. I grabbed a book at my bag , I looked at it and read , as it says volume 1 & 2 . I haven't finished reading this one and I heard the volume 3 was already released so , I will try to drop by at the book store . I didn't focus with the discussion cause I'm busy reading with the book when suddenly the bell rang and I heard the teacher say " class dismissed " . We stood up and grabbed our bag.

" hey , let's go " I pinched her cheeks as she didn't listen to me .

She looked at my side and say " uh - ha okay " she grabbed her bag and we started walking outside . The book store was too far and their closing time is 5:00 PM , maybe I can make it if I will fasten my walk?. Jeez ~ I hope our driver won't stuck at the traffic again. If this book is not my favorite , I won't sacrifice , but the story is really good.

" hey ! You go first . I will go to the book store " I told her when we already in the gate. I saw her driver standing in the corner , waiting for her . She looked at me and say goodbye . I just nod at her and wave my hand. I started walking towards the store.

My phone ring and I looked at the screen and saw our driver's name . It seems that she was stuck on traffic again so I didn't bother waiting for her. Jeez ~ so I really have to walk towards the store ? . What the hell ! . What an unlucky day !. I looked around to find a cab but nothing's available , it's occupy by the students.

I stopped for a while when I feel someone was following me. I looked around but I saw nothing except on the students , who's walking behind me. I shake my head and tried to calm myself . Jeez ~ maybe it was my imagination ?. I started walking again but a few minutes later , I feel someone's gaze looking at me so I stopped again and look around . I didn't start walking . I let the students to walk first. I look at behind but nothing in their. Jeez ~ Am I hallucinating ?. I shake my head and take a sigh , maybe I'm just hallucinating cause I feel tired . I shake my head and continue walking.

I looked at my phone , hoping that our driver will send me a message or call but there's nothing , instead I saw the clock and it's already 4:27 PM. Oh come on !. Just 33 minutes and it's closing time. I feel tired and my legs was shaking until I found the store so , I hurriedly run towards the their . I looked at my watch and it's already 4:45 PM .

I made it on time before closing. I looked around and saw the book . I opened and read few chapters until I decided to buy it. The line was too long so I guess I will wait patiently.

I started reading a few chapters while waiting my turn. I looked at my watch and it's already 5:10 PM. I gasped for a moment cause it's beyond closing time. I looked around and some of the employee was started closing the front door.

They won't make us to get out of this store right?.

I heard one of the employee talking with other employee and say " they will extend until the last line". I take a sigh and looked around , oh crap ! I am lucky !. The employee say until the last line.

I started reading a few chapters again when I feel someone's gaze . I stopped for a while and looked at the exit and saw a guy wearing a lethal jacket with a cap while wearing a face mask. I couldn't saw his face but he looked at me for a while and walked away . I started wondering , who the hell is he ? but I shake my head and told myself " what a weird guy" .

After a few minutes , its already my turn to pay. I pay at the counter and started walking at the exit. I looked at my watch and it's already 6:05 PM. I looked around to find a cab but it seems that all of the cab who passed by was occupied so I've got no choice but wait for our driver. I'm standing on the corner when my phone rang and it was our driver who sent a message that she will be late cause she will send my father at the airport. I take a sigh and looked at the surroundings and it's too quiet.

Well I've got no choice but to wait for him. I opened the book and started reading some chapters when suddenly , I feel someone's gaze . I stopped for a while and look around and there I saw a shadow in the corner walking towards me. I looked around to find help if something happened but it's too quiet and the store was already closed.

I turned my back and started walking too fast . I looked at behind and saw the same guy who's wearing a lethal jacket with a cap and a face mask. So his watching at me from the start ?. I walked faster but I saw a two shadow in the front.

What the hell ?. There's more of them!. I stopped walking when I feel that I was being corner. I looked at my side and its too quiet so I turn on the left side and started running but there's someone's waiting for me so I stopped and look behind but the guy wearing a lethal jacket with a cap was already at my back. There's a four of them !. This is bad news!

He grabbed my hand and pulled me over but I twist his finger and kicked his balls. I heard him scream in agony so I stepped back and started to run but the two other guys was already waiting for me . One guy has a knife on his pocket , he run towards to stab me but I avoided it and run away but the other guy was too fast , he easily catch me . I tried to escape but he called some of his friends .

The other guy covered my mouth while the other guy pointing his knife at my face. I'm afraid so I didn't move an inch. I'm scared . I feel my legs shaking as I tremble in fear. I heard the other guy say " lets call boss ".

Boss? Who the hell is he ?. What did I do ?. Are they a kidnapper?. I closed my eyes and started praying that someone would save me. I snapped when we heard his voice , walking towards me. What the hell is he doing? . Dude ! don't play a hero!.

" hey , that's my wife " wife ? what the hell is he talking about? . I looked at him but he seems serious. Anyway what's he doing here? . Maybe I will play along with him . I bite the guy's hand and told them " you've got a wrong person " . They looked at each other with a confuse .

The other guy put the knife down and started whispering to the other guy. They looked at Sky with a confuse and looked at me.

Are they insane ? I'm still wearing a uniform ! so there's no way that I am his wife but I looked at him and smiled. He just nod and walked towards at me. He grabbed the other guys hand and twist it .

They react too late , they're tried to land a punch at him but he avoid it. He turned and kick the guys balls. He pulled me over at him but the other guy grabbed my shirt . I turn around and landed a punch at his face. I saw him feeling dizzy so I raised my left leg in the air and smashed his back. His screaming in agony as he could not stand up,

I looked at him and saw him bleeding , so I hurriedly run towards him and kick the guy's stomach. I tried to land a punch at the guy but he grabbed my arm and we started running. I look at behind and saw the three of them was on the floor while the other one was trying to stand up as he feel dizzy.

We stopped running as we trying to catch our breath. I looked at him and saw his hands bleeding. I cupped his face and asked " what on earth are you doing here ?" but he just smiled at me and say " I was with my cousin on the other side of the building , it's just a coincidence that I saw you that time " . Jeez ~ this guys was insane ! but I want to thank him for saving my life.

" anyway let's go to my house " he looked at me with a shock face and asked " what ? i- in yo-you-your hou-house ? " why did he stutter?

"yes ! we need to treat your wounds "

I get my handkerchief at my pocket and cover it on his wounds to stop the bleeding and after a minutes our driver's called and asked where I am.
