CHAPTER 1

SHNEHA’S POV

Today is an important day for me. I am going to represent our hotels ‘The Shikhawat Groups’ in the biggest event in Hotel Management industry.

I was nervous as hell, I couldn't make a mistake, I definitely can’t let Shekhi uncle down. I was brought back from my thoughts by my phone ringing.

"Hello," I answered the call without looking at it.

"Hey Sneha. It's me Ruhi." Ya she calls me Sneha. I hate people calling me nick names.

"Hey, what's up" She asked me calmly. But I know she was anything but calm.

"Okay, you know today I have to represent my hotel in Hotel Fiesta" I said nervously.

"Are you kidding me, like really" she asked me pretending to be surprised.

"No, I was just joking" I replied sarcastically.

"Okay, okay, sorry babe, uh........ are you nervous?" she asked me.

"Nervous? What’s that?” I asked her pretending to be confident.

"Are you sure?” she asked me again.

"Okay, I admit I might be a bit nervous but that’s fine. I can handle it” I replied honestly.

“Don’t worry and relax. We are sailing the same boat” she said and I was like ‘What the hell?’.

“Girl, Am I missing something here?” I asked her suspiciously.

“Well, I am sorry to tell you this late but I am representing our chain of hotels" she said and I squealed

“WHAT? Are you kidding me? Like really And you are telling me this now?” I asked her angrily.

"Hey, it’s not my fault that I got to know it yesterday” she said lowly and I am damn sure she must be pouting.

"Are you nervous?" I asked mischievously grinning widely.

"Aren't you" she shot back.

"Okay, okay. I know we are equal"

With that we both burst into fits of laughter.

“I am really happy for you, but don’t think I will go easy on you just because you are my best friend” I said playfully.

“Like I will do that” she said mocking me and we burst in fits of laughter again.

"Hey what's the time?" She asked controlling her laughter and I looked at watch to see its 8:45 already and I still need to get ready.

"Hey we are going to be late, if we continue at this rate so, see you at fiesta" I said and hung up on her even before she could answer me.

I hurriedly took a shower, get dressed in my formal attire, white shirt and gray pencil skirt which reached just below my knees, with my gray blazer on. I looked like a professional.

I had my breakfast, did a little prayer for my success and headed to the venue for my event on my bike. On my way, a car almost crashed me but thank God I am safe. I reached the venue on time but still need to hurry up, I hurriedly called Ruhi, in the process I bumped into someone.

“I am sorry” I muttered a quick apology and headed to the back stage where my team is already waiting for me.

“Hey Ruhi, What do I do?” I said nervously.

“Am I looking appropriate? Do you think I would be able to do it?” I asked her nervously.

“Hey, look at me. You look great, okay?” she said making me look at her.

“So,Just relax, take a deep breath and calm down, Okay?” she replied.

I took few deep breath to calm down.

“What if I messed it up? What if I let Shekhi uncle down?” I asked her hesitantly.

“Look at me Sneha, Firstly calm down girl or you will make me nervous as well” she said playfully glaring at me.

“Okay I am calm” I replied grinning sheepishly at her.

“You will rock it, I believe in you” she said lightly squeezing my hand.

I gave her a small smile “Best of luck. And I am sorry, I know I should be the one comforting you but” I said a little guilty.

“Hey it’s fine. By the way where is that useless idiot?” she asked referring to Balvant.

“Hey girls” Balvant said approaching us.

“Think of devil and devil is here” I muttered rolling my eyes at the duo.

“Hey Shikhawat” she greeted him.

“What’s up with this dull faces?” he asked us.

We gave him a flat stare.

“Oh okay I see, my tigresses are now a shaking kitten” he said observing us.

“We will kill you Shikhawat” we both glared at him.

“Uhh oh, I am too young to die like this so I will pass” he said jokingly.

“You think I am giving you a choice” I asked him sternly.

“Okay I am sorry. Now come here both of you” he said pulling us in a group hug.

“All the best my tigresses. I know you guys will rock it” he said proudly.

We all laughed at his childish behavior.

The event went smoothly; we both presented our presentation well and were happy for the success. We were celebrating our little success when a man approached Ruhi.

She turned on her hills to see who it is, she chipped happily "Karan bhaisa (brother) how was the presentation" she asked him nervously.

"It was good bache(Kiddo)" he said hugging her.

He eyed me from head to toe checking me out. Uhh bloody pervert.

"Ruhi, I think I should take my leave. I have some work. See you around" with that we both bid our goodbye.

‘Next time I see him checking me out, I will definitely beat him to pulp’ I thought.
