CHAPTER 4: Going back home

"Anderson, you have to stay back here and take good care of our head branch and all other branches of our company here in Chicago '' Mr. Willams told Anderson the day before he left.

" But sir, shouldn't I be by your side? I mean, I'm your right-armed man" Anderson asked, his eyes popping out.

He didn't understand why his boss and master doesn't want him to follow them to Country Z, not minding the position he holds for him.

" I just don't feel like it. I prefer you to stay here and manage my company. You should be happy that I trusted you so much to entrust such a great thing as my company to you" Mr. Willams replied and so Anderson had no other option but to swallow the remaining words in his mouth. Who was he to defer the orders of his boss?

Apart from being a billionaire and owner of the best companies in the world, M.r Willam had also trained himself so well in martial arts and had trained so many other people, most of them now his men. He did that to be able to defend himself Incase things became hot.

The next day, and on the first flight, Mr . Willams fled to Country Z.

After he had arrived there, the first place he visited was his foster mother's place, madam Sharon's place.

The woman was cooking food by the time she heard a knock at the door and so she left the food she was cooking, and made for the door only to open it and was dumbstruck at the sight of Willams.

" Omg! Willams, is this you? You have grown so big in the blink of an eye and you look quite well too, gosh! I was worried for nothing over you. You're pretty doing fine. But wait a minute, how come you didn't even tell me that you were coming back today? I would have made your favorite seaweed soup" madam Sharon lamented.

" Aaaah mum, that was exactly why I didn't tell you about my arrival because I know you would go into a lot of stress to make the food for me and might even throw a party. But my mum is quite old and doesn't need all that stress" Willams replied.

" Gosh look at you, who says that is stress? And no matter how old I am, I'll always look out for my dear son" madam Sharon replied.

" Did I say you were old? Gosh! You need to forgive me for that. You are five times younger than your mates and you seem to be doing pretty well as well. And as for the seaweed food, I think I'm perceiving an aroma of food. You're cooking, so I should eat this one available and leave the seaweed soup for another day. What do you think mum?" Willams asked with a smile on his face as he hugged the elderly woman tightly.

" I missed you so much, mum!" he exclaimed in excitement.

" I missed you more my son," Madam Sharon replied.

She was so happy to see him after so many years.

" Quickly mum, let's go to the kitchen. I'll help you with the food" Willams replied as they both left hand in hand.

Willams stayed over at her place for two more days after which he left for the house that he had already purchased and which his men were already staying those few days that he had been at madam Sharon's place.

He just needed to lay low for one week here, and monitor his environment very well as well as get to understand and know the things that had changed so far.

He called two of his men and asked them to go for a secret spy at the house where he had lived with his mother and where his mother had been killed and found out if people were now living there, or if it was still vacant and come back to report to him. He was going to start from there.

He also went to the branch of his company which he had handed over to one of his men to manage and asked to be given work as the gardener and that was because he didn't want his identity as the owner of the company to be known. After all, If he becomes known as a public figure over here, his enemies, or rather, those murderers and their boss, might recognize him as the son of the woman they had killed five years ago, and when that happens, it wouldn't be easy for him to work underground. So he chose a lowly work that won't give him much exposure at least in the meantime before he gets exposed. He must have achieved a lot.

It has not been long since he brought the branch of his company over, and it was already in competition with the other well-known companies and so rich businessmen and women came dropping by each day to have business with them.

And although Willams was the gardener of the company in the face of the people, he was the boss to his men and Mr. Lucas who is currently sitting as the manager of the company and so he makes sure to report everything that happens at the company to him, then take orders from him and do whatever he was asked to do by Mr. Williams.

When Mr. Williams found out from his men whom he had sent to check on the house he lived with his mother that it was still left barren and that no one wanted to live there after hearing how the woman who had lived there before was murdered in cold blood. They didn't want such a fate, so they avoided the place like a plague which was very much to the delight of Mr. Williams because that would mean that he would be able to still find some evidence from the place.
