Chapter 9 The Serum

Some wounds had to be covered to stop them from bleeding, her skin was so delicate since she's still very young.

She went to the corner where bags were located, picked the most ordinary and soft shirt, used the dagger she used to kill the snake earlier and made some improvised bandages out of it.

A moment later, the other bird returned and Ceres closed the door. It was around four to five in the afternoon, the place was not that dark yet.

The pain she was feeling now is getting intense, she could clearly feel now that some of her bones might have been fractured...

She hadn't felt it earlier though. She was beginning to feel cold all over, and her body temperature is increasing.

As she chills, she tried to move and check if there were some medicines hidden in the bag, yet she couldn't find any. Then she looked around, she saw the canister her father gave her. She took it and saw a note.

This serum is a unique medicine capable of providing one a special ability. Hasn't been proven yet. Note! Very strong.

She read it but didn't fully understand what it meant. When she saw the word medicine it was enough for her! She didn't have a spoon but it doesn't matter... She took the mug and poured some.

She really wasn't aware of everything at all, due to the fact that she wasn't really feeling good, her judgment was being unclear as well...

She was being rushed on things. So after pouring some inside the mug, she drank it immediately in one gulp.

Serums were supposed to be used externally! This serum was designed to be applied on the skin, it will then be absorbed by the pores to slowly tweak the muscles, the bones, and even veins.

The body will experience sudden changes and the person will have a superhuman ability, they will be called mutated human afterward.

After drinking the serum, she felt that every wound on her body was starting to heal now in a visible manner.

Afterward, she felt a sudden pain on her chest. Her bones were starting to crack, blood was running out from her ears, eyes, and nose.

The birds felt her pain, so they slowly approached her and used their small wings to hug her head as they comfort her.

She was now lying on the floor, her breathing was steady, her heart started to beat back to normal, and she fainted after all those tortures.
