CHAPTER 7

James Pov

I was pissed out of my mind. I wanted to kill someone. Everything seemed to be going wrong these days. Firstly after making Emelia leave her job I thought i could have her in my office 24 ×7 but the results were completely different.

That stubborn woman refused to work with me and those skills ... as much as i hated to admit it my back still hurt.

It had been a complete 3 day that I hadn’t seen her and hadn’t heard her voice since she refused to pick up my call.

I was so mad that I even called Nina but Nina refused to acknowledge her presence. She refused to pick Nina's call aswell.

God knows where she was... all Nina knew was she left like this always when she was angry which she indeed was so Nina was least worried.

And currently I was here in our underground den. Somebody had broken into this place 3rd time trying to steal information. 4 of my well trained men laid here bloody and bruised.

What the fuck was wrong with my life these days.

"How many people were there?" I asked.

" s..sir 2" they cowered and I growled.

"2..freaking 2 people just banged you 4. What are you all... pussies?"

They kept their head down... with my current state I could kill them without second thought but my gang was passed me down by my dad and it was my second family so I didn't wanted to kill them.

But I seriously need some new recruit’s to teach these people or to guard my place.

I dialed the only no. That could help me.. Luca.

"Mr. Washington" he replied.

"We need to meet Luca, reach to my place soon" I demanded and ended the call. I knew he would be there.

"You guys are going for training again... you are no longer the security in charge" I told them and they nodded.

As I reached my house, Luca was already sitting there. Perks of being a leader.

"Luca" I acknowledged.

"Boss" he replied.

"I need someone ... someone strong enough to be my security incharge and train my men" I told him.

"Dark knight" he replied.

"That’s a new name" I didn't knew someone like that.

"Still dark Knight is best we have. Yesterday defeated Aaron." he completed.

Aaron was a literal bulky and strong guy. This dark knight guy must be someone strong.

"I recruit with confidence Luca... get your dark knight for a fight today with Hugler then I shall decide" I told him... his face distorted in distress.

"What happened Luca... scared your dark knight won’t be good enough?" I asked.

"Not at all, Hugler is an easy defeat for dark knight. What I am thinking is dark knight may or may not joint your gang" he replied.

"Why? Does dark knight works for another gang? ... Ours is the best. Who would refuse?"

“No dark knight isn’t in any gang, Dark Knight isn’t fighter. Dark knight fights only when wants too. Dark Knight isn’t regular ... reason you don’t know dark knight. Although you’re lucky, dark knight has been irregular since some days" he replied.

"I wish this dark knight is as good as you tell me" I smirked. Knowing Hugler was one hard crack. Defeating him wasn’t something anyone had done till now but Luca didn’t praise people easily so this is going to be an interesting match.

"You'll see... be there at 9" he told me and left.

Rest of the day passed in irritation. I had meetings I had to attend and Emelia going missing was no help to my distressed state.

Her phone was still off. I got so mad that I banged at her apartment at 7 o'clock hoping Nina would be lying. Although if she was then consequences would not be in her favor at all. She would have to pay for all my stress.

I seriously felt that Emelia was still in her apartment she just refused to talk to me.

As I walked into the apartment, Nina was pacing in the hallway cursing loudly.

"What’s wrong?" I asked and she gasped loudly, her hand on her chest.

"You scared me" she told me.

"Where is Emelia" I asked ignoring her comment.

"I wish I knew. She isn’t home since Tuesday and today is Friday. She goes missing when she is mad but she has never gone missing for so long. Even her baby isn’t home." She spoke... worry clear on her face.

"Any message she left" I asked.

"Yeah when I came back at Tuesday noon there was a sticky note on the fridge" she said handling me the note.

Hey Nina

I am alright

Don’t worry about me if I Don’t make home soon.

I'll call you when I get into my right mind.

Take care.

It read.

Where was she?

Did she leave for some place?

Was she coming back?

I felt mad right now ...on whom I didn’t knew.

Myself for getting her so angry

or

her for being so careless.

My phone buzzed.

"It’s 8:30 where are you boss?" It was Luca.

Shit. I forgot in this Emelia tension.

"Call me when she gets home" I told Nina and she nodded.

If she doesn’t get home tonight I am going to throw a search party

for her.

I quickly drove to the place. Reaching in I checked for the time. 9:05 it read.

"Glad you could make it on time or else you would miss Hugler getting defeated" it was Luca.

I gave him a nod as I sat on my chair.

"So here we have the strong Hugler" the announcer announced and the crowd cheered.

"And here we have the one and only DARK KNIGHT" he announced and the crowd went mad at it.

I figure came out from the ground towards the ring. With a shorts beneath there was a hood covering all It’s back.

The guy looked too petite to even fight Aaron or Hugler. Winning was impossible.

As the hood pulled out I could see a bun at the back of her head.

Her.

I turned to Luca.

"Dark knight is a girl" I asked astonished to which he only smirked.

But as she turned raising her hands to the crowd making them erupt in cheers and claps. My eyes balled out.

Emelia.

But she looked different. There was a bruise on the top of her head and one on her jaw line.

Both her hands were bandaged.

"Who did that to her?" I asked Luca grunting.

"What?" He asked.

"The bruises on her face and her bandaged hands"

"Oh ...that was Aaron yesterday" he replied casually.

"He is going to die in my hands" I mumbled to myself.

"Sorry can't. She has already broken both his arms and a rib. He is currently in hospital" he replied.

"So are we ready" the announcer boomed and the crowd cheered.

"Stop the match now" I ordered.

He looked taken aback but then quickly composed himself together.

"I can’t" he replied.

"WHY?" I groaned.

"The woman's going to kill me. She is recently a too very mad for anyone to cross her way" he told me shuddering.

"You still have a chance baby... back off" Hugler told her in the ring and she just rolled her eyes.

How dare he baby her.

He is gonna pay for this.

"You belong with me in my bed sweetheart moaning my name not here" he smirked and I finally lost it. He is official going to die in my hands but she only smirked.

"Let’s see who moans whose name" she replied calm as the referee whistled starting the match.
