DAMIEN'S POV
"Thank you for agreeing to meet with me here," I said, trying to keep my voice steady.
Elysia nodded and smiled, her eyes twinkling in the sunlight. "Of course, Damien. What did you want to talk about?"
I took a deep breath, trying to find the right words. "About yesterday..."
Before I could continue, Elysia interrupted me. "It's fine, Damien. Really."
"No, I apologize. I was the foolish one. I'm really sorry," I blurted out, feeling a weight lifted off my shoulders.
Elysia looked at me, her eyes softening. "I understand. You couldn't resist my beauty," she said with a playful smirk.
I was stunned by her response, and we both burst into laughter, the tension between us dissipating.
"Has the tour ended?" Elysia finally asked, looking around at our surroundings.
I nodded in response, a short silence falling between us. I took a deep breath, gathering my courage.
"Elysia," I began, my voice barely above a whisper.
She turned away from admiring the view, her eyes meeting mine. "Yes?" she said, encouraging me to go on.
"Have you always been this beautiful?" I asked, unable to stop myself.
Elysia's cheeks flushed a delicate shade of pink, and she smiled shyly. "What?" she asked, clearly caught off guard.
"You are so beautiful, Elysia," I continued, feeling awkward but unable to take my words back.
Elysia looked at me, her eyes filled with a mixture of surprise and uncertainty. The atmosphere between us had suddenly changed, and I could feel my cheeks heating up.
"Thank you, Damien," she finally said, her voice soft. "That's very kind of you to say."
I nodded, feeling a bit embarrassed but also relieved. "I think I like you"
”what!
"Am I being too forward" I asked
"Well...yes we just met few days back, isn't too soon to like me"
" It's never too soon to like someone...and besides I have to let you know quickly Or is your heart taken by someone"
" No... It isn't, I'm just surprised" she replied
" I really like you and I want to spend the rest of my life with you "I said as I tried to reach for her hands but I quickly changed my mind.
She looked at me, her eyes searching mine. "I appreciate your honesty, Damien. But I think you need to take things slow while get to know each other better."
I smiled, feeling grateful for her understanding. "I understand,.. Let's take it one step at a time."
" Yes... We should"she replied and continued to admire the view of the place
" Do you like me ?" I asked and I could see that she felt awkward instantly
”what!... Me.. erm"she stammered
" Elysia do you like me ? "I asked again putting her in a difficult spot
"I never knew I would be this shy... Well, Damien you are handsome" she said
" Umm.... Elysia do... "
" Damien ... " She interrupted and I quickly get the hint that she doesn't want to talk about it "the book you were going to recommend to me"
"Ohhhh.... Midnight mates: forbidden bond under the moon"
"Wow the title is thrilling ... Where can I get the book"
"It's on mobreader"
" Ohhhh.... Thanks
"Since we're friends now, I'd love to know more about you," I said, trying to keep my voice light and friendly.
Elysia's eyes sparkled with amusement. "Sure, Damien. What do you want to know?"
I grinned, feeling a bit nervous but excited to learn more about her. "Well, tell me about your hobbies, your favorite books, and your dreams for the future."
She laughed softly, her laughter like music to my ears. "Okay, let's see. I love reading fantasy novels, painting, and spending time outdoors. As for my dreams, I hope to travel the world and experience new cultures."
I nodded, genuinely interested in what she had to say. When it was my turn, I shared stories about my family, my hobbies, and my plans for the future. Elysia's laughter filled the air again when I told her about the funny mix-up our moms had once made, thinking one of us was going to be a girl so we could get married.
"That's hilarious parents can be too hopeful!" she exclaimed, her eyes twinkling with mirth.
"I know right" I said as I laughed
"Hope you are not gay" she asked and I nodded my head negatively and we both laughed again
As our conversation flowed, I felt a growing connection with Elysia. Wanting to learn more about her background, I decided to ask about her parents. However, the moment the words left my mouth, I saw her face pale, and tears welled up in her eyes.
"My parents... they're no longer with us," she whispered, her voice breaking with emotion.
My heart sank as I realized I had unintentionally brought up a painful memory. "I'm so sorry, Elysia. I shouldn't have asked."
She wiped away her tears and gave me a weak smile. "It's okay, Damien. You didn't know."
Feeling a strong desire to comfort her, I hesitated for a moment before asking, "Can I... can I give you a hug?" I stammered
Elysia nodded, and I wrapped my arms around her. The hug felt warm and comforting for the first time in my life I felt cozy inside,I felt her arms wrap around me, i felt the sparkles that lovers would feel. it was like being enveloped in a warm,i comforting blanket on a cold winter night. Every nerve in my body tingled with a mixture of excitement and contentment. The world around us seemed to fade away, leaving just the two of us in our own little bubble. Her embrace was gentle yet firm, reassuring yet exhilarating. In that moment, I knew that her hug wasn't just a simple gesture; it was a silent message, a promise of affection and understanding that words could never fully capture. and I could feel my heart racing as I held her close. When we finally pulled away, our eyes met, and the connection between us was palpable.
We sat there in silence for a moment, lost in each other's gaze. The atmosphere was charged with emotion, and I felt a surge of courage as I leaned in slowly, whispering her name, "Elysia..."
She turned to face me, her eyes filled with curiosity and anticipation. "Yes, Damien?" She muttered silently under her breathe and her eyes were looked on to mine,Closing the distance between us I could feel the warmth of her breath against my face and our lips were barely inches apart . I moved closer to her as I try to press my lips on hers
