CHAPTER 9- But the rough one was better

ASHLEY'S POV:

"I would request my teammates to please leave the stage and my three dear friends Seth, Ashley and Kelly can you please join me on the stage", we three were confused when Arthur said this. But still, we started towards the stage. Our team won the match and I was so proud that my friend Arthur is the captain of the winning team.

It's been more than a year that we know each other. I learned that Arthur is a really hard-working boy. His family's financial condition is not so good so he works for his living and also manages to give his best in studies. Everything he does is just perfect. He is a good student, the best captain that a team needs and most importantly a good friend.

When we all are together I often sense that Arthur's eyes are fixed on me. It feels like he is inspecting each action of mine. At those time I wished I could know what is going on in his mind.

But what I know is that I have developed a liking for him. I really like him a lot. Since I saw him for the first time his handsome face is all over my mind. He is the first guy who had made me feel this way.

I control myself because I know he will never feel the same for me, I mean why will he like someone like me. I have heard about the girls he dated before. One of them was Anna, the blonde girl who was with Seth while bullying us. She is so pretty, just like a model, even though she is not as tall as models are but she has a beautiful face and a perfect body. If Arthur has been which such sexy girls then there is no way he is going to like someone as average looking like me.

I was brought out of my thoughts when we reached the stage. The team members were standing beside the stage since Arthur asked them to do so. We went up and stood in the corner. I got nervous as the whole crowd was looking at us. They were waiting for Arthur to say something. I was so nervous I was looking at my hands, my fingers knotted in front of me. My habit when I feel nervous.

Suddenly I felt someone's hand on mine. I looked up to see that it was Arthur and he was dragging me to the centre of the stage. I was shocked. I turned to look at Kelly pleading her to join. When we were at the centre I could felt everyone's eyes on us but mine were now fixed on Arthur.

"Ashley I know this is a complete shock for you. I know being the asshole I am, I never expressed my feelings to you. But today, I 'Arthur McKenna' ask you 'Ashley Krail', will you be my girlfriend", Woh! Am I dreaming or is this real. I was beyond shock. I just kept on looking at his face with wide eyes thinking that this is just a dream.

"I don't just like you Ashley, I love you. You are everything that I wanted in a girl. I promise you I will try my best to be the best for you. Please, Ashley, will you be my girlfriend", he continued but I still could not believe what he said. I was thinking that this is just a dream and like every normal girl, I am dreaming that my crush is asking me out in a special manner.

When I saw him turn to leave the stage I realized that this is really happening and he is hoping an answer from me. There is no way in hell I am going to say 'no', my answer was obviously a 'yes'.

"Yes", I said but my voice came out more like a whisper. Even I was not able to hear myself how on the earth is he going to hear me. But he turned and was looking at me then I cleared my throat and said "YES" again but oops! this time it was much louder like I was shouting. I saw Arthur's eyes held joy when he heard me. The crowd was screaming wildly cheering us.

Arthur suddenly marched towards me and before I could know his lips were on mine. I was rooted to my spot. My whole body went paralyzed. It was my first kiss and I had no idea what to do, so after few seconds I just followed his lead and when he licked my lower lip I opened my mouth for him to deepen the kiss (the thing I learned from the romantic books that I have read). His tongue was exploring each and every part of my mouth. He tasted heavenly. His body was sweaty, still, he smelled good and tasted even better, just like mint. I now know why people say that there nothing sweeter than a kiss.

He pulled back and hugged me tightly. We stood there like that for at least 2 minutes then he finally left me. I was too shy to look at him so I was looking at my fingers they were knotted but now with Arthur's fingers. I blushed even harder.

Oh! god, can this be more perfect??

"I knew there was something between you, see I was right", Kell said. We are in Arthurs car right now heading towards Mcdonalds for our small celebration. Arthur's car was a simple one for five people including the driver. It was nothing flashy but the reason I instantly like it was because of its colour. It was black. I love black.

Seth was driving and Kell was sitting on the passenger seat. I and Arthur were in the back seat. That creepy blush never leaving my face and Arthur never leaving my hand.

"Seriously man why were you quiet this whole time. I sometimes noticed you creepily looking at her but I never thought you were that serious", Seth said.

"I don't know, I was just waiting for the right time. It was hard to control my feelings all this time. But then I found it very difficult to ignore such a beautiful girl so finally I decided...", he said the last part bringing my hand near his mouth and pressing a wet kiss to the back of my palm. I was quiet throughout the journey too shy to say something.

"You know Ash you are not getting any award for blushing the most, so please say something rather explain how you said 'Yes' instantly, were you guys already dating secretly ", Kell asked me suspiciously.

"Shutup Kell I am not blushing, at least not that much, and no we were not dating secretly. I liked him and it grew, even more, when I learned how hardworking and independent he is, but I always thought why would he like someone like me I mean he has better options." I shrugged "But today when he asked there was no way I would say no".

"No baby you are the best I can ever have. There is no one better than you for me. I love you and never underestimate yourself and is nice to hear that you too had a liking for me all the time", he then came close to me and whispered in my ear, "And Kell is right you should stop blushing and licking your lip cause it tempts me to lick them".

It is almost 5 in the evening and it's only me and Arthur in the car. After eating at McDonald's Arthur dropped Kell and Seth to Kells place. She said that her parents were not at home so........

Arthur offered me a drive back home. The drive was silent, neither of us talked much. I could fell Arthur looking in my direction several times but as usual, I just blushed and he smirked.

"Seriously baby you blush a lot", Oh God that word 'baby' is making me blush harder.

"Please don't call me baby, I don't like it", I said.

"Is it, but your face is saying something else", He smirked. Oh! god, he looks more handsome when he smirks.

"By the way how was it?", he asked.

"What?", I asked confused what that 'it' meant.

"The kiss of course".

"Oh! It was ok", I said teasing him. I did not want to boost his ego by saying it was heavenly.

"OK ha! just ok. then I should do it again to make it better", he said, this time he was teasing me. Bastard!

"Ok it was good, but I have nothing to compare so I can't tell if it could be better, maybe if...", before I could complete the sentence he suddenly stopped the car., unfasten his seat belt and jumped towards me. His lips crashed on mine, this time the kiss was rough and hard. He bit my lip making me gasp. He took the opportunity to enter his tongue. He then again started biting and nibbling my lip. The kiss was rough but was even better than the previous one.

He pulled back resting his forehead on mine, cupping my cheeks in his hands he said, "Never I mean it never ever even think that there will be anyone else kissing you or touching you cause it's only my right. Only I have the right to touch you. Am I clear?", He said his eyes clear showing anger. I nodded my head. He went back to his seat and started driving again.

I admit I loved this possessive side of his.

We reached my home in 10 minutes. He went out running in my direction and opened the door for me. I rolled my eyes at his action.

"Just trying to impress you", He said scratching the back of his neck.

Oh! in that case, you don't have to do that I am already impressed by you. I thought.

"Ashley I am really sorry if I was too rough with you in the car, it's just that I can't stand when you think about another guy", He said guiltily.

Oh! my possessive boyfriend is feeling guilty.

Wait what 'my possessive boyfriend' I never thought I would say 'my boyfriend' so soon but it really feels soo good.

I went near him, brought my lips towards his ears and said

"But the rough one was better", saying that I turned and started running towards my house. Oh! god, when did I get this bold. I don't know how would I face him now. When I reached the main door I looked back and saw he was again scratching the back of his neck and grinning like an idiot.

I pressed the doorbell when I saw him driving away. After some time my mom opened the door. She instantly pulled me in a bone-crushing hug and dragged me inside. "I am so happy for you sweety".

"Finally you did it sis", came Ethan's voice.

"Finally you have a boyfriend", said my dad.

What? How do these guys know?
