CHAPTER 6: SUNDAY

ASHLEY'S POV:

"I am sorry Ashley, I really am. It was not your mistake, it's just that I was angry at someone and you suddenly appeared. I really do not mean even a single word that I said. Please forgive me", he truly sounded guilty. The way he was rambling one could tell that he was genuinely sorry for his action. When I turned to see him my vision was not clear, only then I realized that I was crying. I wiped off my tears and looked at him. He was looking soo cute with that frown on his face. His grey eyes were hoping for an answer. His hold on my wrist loosens when I smiled at him.

"It's ok Arthur", as soon as the words escaped my mouth he came running to my side and hugged me, tightly. I was shocked by his action. A strange feeling started to develop in my heart. I could feel my face heat up. I was blushing vigorously.

"Arthur I can't breath", I lied to him as I wanted to escape from his arms, he left me immediately. I was not really uncomfortable but I don't know the feeling was strange. First time in my life a boy has come so close to me that too this handsome. If we would be in the same position for another second I probably would have fainted. Thank god we were at a corner where no one could see us otherwise I would have died of embarrassment. I saw him he was scratching the back of his neck, a smile plastered on his lips and he was looking everywhere but me.

The bell rang saying that the lecture was over, that means I have to go and attend the next lecture. Arthur dropped me to my class and went to his. I was blushing continuously.

"I think we should go for movie marathon", Kell said. She really sounds annoyed.

We were currently at my home. Sitting in the living area and arguing what should we do to pass our time. If it was only two of us we would have surely settled to a movie marathon which is what we do every Sunday, but we have company today. Arthur and Seth are with us. Since the day Arthur apologized me I have gotten a bit more comfortable around him. The four of us were always together in the college (except the lecture time of course). It's obviously because Seth and Kell are behaving like lovestruck puppies and always try to stick together but they also refuse to leave their best friends alone so eventually we four hang out together.

Dad is in the shop, mom went to visit her friend and Ethan is also out with his friends so there is no one at my place, so the guys said that we can spend the time here then.

"Sure thing babe whatever you like", Seth said giving a quick peck on Kell's lips.

"For god's sake guys you are not alone, so stop and if you can't control get a room", Arthur roared looking at Seth.

"Ohhhh! someone is being jealous.", Seth said playfully, winking at Arthur.

"Fuck you", Arthur yelled, "But seriously dude I took a day off, you know I have a job on weekends but still you insisted me to join you saying that we will have fun. Watching a movie with popcorn stuffed in my mouth is seriously not my definition of fun". Oh! so he works on weekends. He took a day off for us, so watching the movie will be really like wasting his time. And it's making him sad.

"We can play a game like 'stare-truth-and dare', or 'never have I ever', if its ok with you guys", Oh! what the hell! I am always the one to run away from such games and now I am the one to suggest it. WTF. (Maybe you want to make Arthur happy) my subconscious snapped at me, I just ignored her because I know that she is correct at some level.

Kell was looking at me with wide eyes. This girl knows me so well.

"I mean just for a change, we have no other option unless we decide to go out".

"NO, no, no, we will play 'never have I ever'", Kell said to all of us. She then dragged me away from the boys and leaned towards me to say something in my ears so that the boys can't hear us. "Are on your periods?" I shook my head. "Are you having a fever", I shook my head again, "OH MY GOD! are you pregnant", "NO!", I yelled, "Why would you think so?", I asked shocked at her question.

"Thank God! for a second I thought you lost your virginity to some random guy (she looked at Arthur while saying this) when I was away from you last Sunday, but seriously you always stay away from guys and you easily agreed to hang out with these two and now YOU yourself suggested these games. What happened?", she asked suspiciously.

"Nothing happened Kell, I just said that for you, you know these game might let you know more about Seth. The things he might not tell you himself you can get out by this game", God I never knew I was such a good liar. What is actually happening to me?

"Seriously?", Kell was looking at me suspiciously. I gave her a sweet smile but not too sweet to make her suspicious and nodded my head.

"Oh! I love you Ash", She said hugging me tightly. Thank god she is soo much lost in Seth right now, otherwise, she might have interrogated me like a cop. Hush!

We went to the boys who were waiting for us patiently and giving us a weird look.

"I will go and grab soft-drink for the game", I said heading towards the kitchen.

"I will help you", Kell said walking towards me but was stopped by Seth. Seth whispered something in Arthur's ears to which he rolled his eyes and got up from his seat and said: "I'll help you".

We went into the kitchen, I was getting the soft drink bottle from the refrigerator. There was an awkward silence between us until Arthur decided to break it.

"Thank you for the suggestion otherwise that as**ole of my friend might have let me watch some boring chick flick that his girlfriend chooses. I hope the game might be more fun than some boring movies", Arthur said looking relieved.

"It's alright", I said biting my lips nervously, I remembered the hug that we shared in the library when we were alone. "By the way, mind if I ask where do you work?", I asked him. I just wanted to keep my mind distracted from the fact that we were alone.

I filled the first glass with the soft drink when Arthur replied, "I work as a secretary in a small company. It's good you know, I can learn something from it as well as earn some money for living" He said

"What about your parents?", I should control my mouth. I have no right to ask him about his personal life.

"My mom died, my father decided to let me stay with grandma while I was a kid and now when I am confident enough that I can take care of myself I decided to live alone. I earn enough to provide myself with food, clothes, shelter and also can continue to study", he said smiling.

I really respect him now. He manages study along with work. Besides it, he also plays football and is the captain of the colleges football team. Despite all this, he is also ready to give enough time to his friends.

I gave him a warm smile.

I carried two glasses in my hand while Arthur took the rest. When we reached the living area we saw Kell was on the sofa and Seth was kissing the life out of her. One of his hand was in Kells' hair and the other in her skirt. I looked away. Arthur cleared his throat. They immediately left each other adjusting their clothes. Kell grinned looking in my direction I just rolled my eyes at her.

"Let's begin the game", came Arthur's voice.
