Chapter 7

I woke up and winced at the pain in my head,that's three days in a row I've been drinking,I need a glass of orange juice, I took a long shower,got dressed then went downstairs to get my drink,and to my surprise, Monica was there, you know she's  been here often,she's the only girl Damon seems to keep. She was getting something from the fridge, I wasn't in the mood to argue so I just left the house,she's always getting me angry and since Damon knows I'm a troublemaker, he thinks I always start it and I don't argue,I just take the blame. I drove to a cafe,its better to ignore something than to hit it.

I opened the door and it hit someone,"oh my gosh,I'm so sorry"I say helping up the person who fell,his eyes met mine and I went to the moon and back,his eyes were chocolate brown with a caramel mix if that was even possible, "its fine" he says softly with a smile as I helped him up "no,really,I'm sorry" I say again,afraid he broke some part of his gorgeous face,"its fine"he laughs lightly.

"I didn't see you,can I get you anything to make up for it?" "I'm fine,for a woman your really apologetic" "well not to everyone so please, enjoy the privilege", he smiles "I'm Colt" "Sky" "come on,I'll buy you coffee and try to enjoy the privilege" "sure", we sat at a table as he ordered for both of us,"so where are you from?" Colt asked "New York" "really?,you look like you were made in China or some fancy place" "thanks,what about you?" "I grew up in Miami but moved here to live with my boyfriend".

I went to the sun this time,"boyfriend?" I ask "yeah,I know,pretty guy like me huh?" "no,well yeah,but I don't judge people,so your cool" "thanks,your really nice,so what's a girl like you doing in this big city alone,aren't you afraid they'll steal you?" "no,actually I'm from Florida,moved here when my parents died then moved to Paris to live with my grandma, now I'm back because my sister got engaged" "oh,can I ask why you moved to Paris?", I made a friend, that's so cool,finally I don't have to be cooped up in Damon's vampire castle.

"Are you sure you wanna move back to Paris?" Colt asked "yeah, I'll be back though,wouldn't wanna miss that gorgeous face too much", he blushed "sweet,anyway I gotta get back to Jason, he's probably wondering why I'm not back yet" "yeah,I hope you two solve that stupid argument" "me too", we said goodbye as I got in my car,I drove around,went window shopping and then went back to Damon's place. "Hey Braxton" I chirped "hello Skylar,how are you?" "I'm great,where's batman?" "in his cave,he's worried and angry" "got it", I skipped to Damon's office,how can someone have an office in there house,that's like......its just wrong in so many ways and on so many levels.

I opened the door and walked into Damon's office,he looked up at me "where were you?" "out,why?" "you didn't tell me you were going out" "I'm sorry okay, I just needed a break" "yeah sure", I looked at him "what's your problem?" I ask "I don't have one" he says not looking at me "Damon?!" "what Sky?!,just get out!" "fine then", I was about to leave "Sky wait", I let go of the door handle not turning around,Damon was right behind, it's not like its the first he's yelled at me,and I don't even care,yeah,that's why there's tears running down your cheeks,"I'm sorry,I just got mad because you've been avoiding me and then you just disappeared this morning" "it's fine,I'm just gonna go", I left his office and walked to my room,I kind of felt bad that he yelled at me but I'll get over in no time like I always do.

I was hanging around when my phone vibrated,I looked at it as it kept vibrating, Letty. "Hey sis" I say trying not to sound like I was bored "hey,are you okay?" "yup,you?" "I'm great,we're coming back tomorrow okay", now I'm happy "really?" "yeah,you sound excited,didn't enjoy Damon?", I rolled my eyes "he's okay I guess" "okay?,are you two avoiding each other?" "oh no" "being sarcastic,tell me what happened tomorrow okay?" "got it dude", Damon and Monica came in holding hands, I wanted to drag her around by her hair and strangle her with it, "Sky?, are you still there?" Letty asked "y-yeah,sorry,tomorrow right?" "yeah,Sky are you sure your okay?" "I'm fine,just sleepy,I'll text you,love you bye" "yeah,love you too".

I hung up before heading to the kitchen, I got a box of cookies and a bottle of water, my sketch pad and pencils before heading to the garden.

I was sketching a flower when someone cleared their throat,I looked up at Nate,"hi" I smile "hey,I see this has become your hiding spot" "huh?,oh yeah" I laugh, "I wouldn't blame you,Monica hates any girl Damon hangs out with,I'm lucky she let's me stick around" "oh my,your so geez" "I know, so wanna tell me why you two have been avoiding each other?" "we aren't" "really?", I huffed "I should be used to it by now,but every time he yells at me,its like my heart strings are tied" "he yelled at you?,why?" "I don't even know and I don't want to" "okay,when's Letty getting back?" "tomorrow" "does Damon know?" "I don't know",he nods getting up "I'm gonna go,I'll see you around" "you too".

I was drying my hair when someone knocked "come in" I say not even remembering that I only have a towel on,"hey",I looked up at Damon "hey?" I say but its more like a question "how are you?" "I'm great, do you need anything?" "not really,uh.....Letty called right?" "yeah,they're coming back tomorrow" "right,do you wanna go pick them up with me tomorrow?", I bent down to pick up my brush before looking up at Damon again,"sure" I say getting up and walking to get my clothes,accidentally tripping.

Damon tried catching me but we both ended up on the bed,with my legs and arms around him,thank goodness I was wearing my underwear which didn't stop the heat that was killing me,I looked at Damon,who's eyes were violet and drilling through mine,"uh....."I mumbled trying to find any word that would help me out but I was lost in his eyes,this has never ever happened to me and I'm afraid of what might happen if I stay here.
