After that incident, everyone avoided me. Even Matthew kept his distance and didn't reply to my messages.

Did he not believe me either?

"Hey, did you hear? The richest man donated three million dollars to the school again."

"Oh my god, that's so much money! I'll never see that much in my life. Adeline's dad is super rich!"

"That's nothing. Adeline said it's just her family's monthly income."

"Wow, her family's monthly income is our lifetime's worth. I'm so jealous!"

Watching them fawn over Adeline made me chuckle. I couldn't help but wonder what their expressions would be if they found out she wasn't the daughter of the richest man.

I was really looking forward to it.

Violet frowned and then smiled, "Sarah, why are you laughing? Are you jealous that Adeline is the richest man's daughter?"

"Jealous of her? It's not even certain if she's his daughter. The billionaire hasn't admitted to having a daughter here," I replied indifferently. Adeline's face showed a hint of panic at my words, but she quickly composed herself.

"That's because my dad is worried about my safety, so he hasn't announced it publicly."

"Then aren't you announcing it now? Donating money and making sure the whole world knows it."

She laughed sarcastically, "Sure, someone like you who only knows how to steal others' life-saving money can only be jealous of me."

I couldn’t wait to rip her smug look off her face when everyone knew the truth.

As soon as I entered the classroom, I noticed my classmates looking at me with strange eyes.
