Heart Beating For Him

Noah rose from his chair, his movements graceful and deliberate. He was tall, his body lean and muscular, his eyes a striking shade of blue that seemed to see straight through Hazel.

"So," he said, his voice low and commanding. "You're the one who's been causing all the trouble."

Hazel swallowed hard, her eyes searching his face for any hint of aggression. But she saw none. Only a cool, calculating intelligence that made her uneasy.

"I'm...I'm sorry," she stammered, her voice trembling.

“Come on brother, don’t be so harsh on her” Maya pouts and hold Hazel’s hand

“After eating, leave and don’t ever come back” Noah said

Hazel stared at Noah in shock, her hand trembling in Maya's grasp.

"Leave?" she repeated, her voice breaking.

"But...but I don't understand. Why would you help me if you want me to leave?"

Maya's grip tightened, her face pleading with Hazel.

"Brother, please," she begged, her eyes wide with fear. "Can't we just let her stay for a little while longer?"

But Noah's expression was implacable, his eyes hard as stone.

“She’s not going to leave, you might be the Alpha but we are your sisters and we want her to stay” Naya said fiercely and Hazel’s eyes widened

“He’s the Alpha”

Noah's expression darkened, his eyes flashing with rage. "You dare to defy me, Naya?" he growled, his voice low and dangerous.

"I am the Alpha, and I have given my order. Hazel is a liability to this pack. She must go."

Naya stood her ground, her jaw set in defiance.

"She's not a liability, she's a guest," she said, her voice steady despite the terror she felt in her heart. "And we will not abandon her to the wolves."

Hazel shrank back, her mind spinning with the revelation. Noah was the Alpha?

“Let me leave Naya,I wouldn’t love it if you fight with your brother” Hazel muttered

“No you’re not leaving” Naya said

"I'm not going to let you leave," Naya said, her voice firm. "You're not alone in this, Hazel. We're with you. All of us."

Hazel looked up at the three siblings, her eyes glistening with tears.

Noah glared at Naya and hazel before walking away angrily

Maya followed him

“Do you think he hates me” Hazel cried

“No no,he’s always like that to woman” Naya replied

"He's just trying to protect us, Hazel," Naya said, her hand rubbing circles on Hazel's back. "He's our brother, it's his job to keep us safe."

Hazel let out a shaky breath, her shoulders hunched in defeat. "But I'm not one of you. I'm not part of your pack."

Naya's smile was sad, her eyes brimming with unshed tears.

"You are now," she whispered, her voice catching. "Whether you like it or not, you're stuck with us."

Hazel let out a small, broken laugh, her body trembling with a mixture of relief and fear. "Well, I guess that's that then," she said, her voice shaky. "I'm officially a member of your pack."

Naya's smile widened, her eyes gleaming with unshed tears.

"Yes, you are," she said, her voice full of emotion. "And we're going to protect you, no matter what."

Hazel closed her eyes, feeling the warmth of Naya's words like a balm on her soul.

“Let’s eat then I’ll show you around the castle” Naya said

“Is Maya not eating?”

"Oh, Maya will be back in a moment," Naya said, leading Hazel towards the table. "She's just giving Noah a piece of her mind. That girl's got a temper."

Hazel chuckled, feeling a small spark of hope light up in her chest. "Sounds like she's pretty loyal too."

"Loyal to a fault," Naya agreed, her face breaking into a grin. "But that's what makes her so damn lovable."

As they sat down to eat, the warmth of the food and the company made Hazel feel more at home than she had in ages.

“Oh can’t believe you two are eating without me” Maya pouts

“And you too big sis” Maya said, referring to Hazel

“Big sis?..”

Hazel was shocked, and she remembered Layla

"Hey, don't blame me," Naya said, throwing a playful glare at Maya. "Some of us are actually hungry."

Maya just laughed, taking a seat next to Hazel. "Big sis, huh? You like that?" she said, her eyes twinkling with mischief.

Hazel blushed, feeling a rush of affection for the bubbly, effervescent girl next to her.

Hazel's mind was instantly flooded with memories of Layla, her laughter, her fierce loyalty, the way she'd always stuck by her side no matter what. Her heart ached with the thought of Layla, she couldn’t forget everything she did to her,how she snatched her husband and sent her out of the castle.

"I..." Hazel started, her voice catching. "I haven't been a big sister in a long time."

Maya and Naya exchanged a glance, their smiles fading into something more solemn.

"It's okay," Naya said, her voice low and gentle. "You don't have to tell us if you don't want to."

Hazel took a deep breath, letting the ache in her heart subside.

"No, it's okay," she said, her voice stronger now.

"You should know. I...I was the queen of a pack, but I lost everything. My pack, my husband, my parent. All because of my sister."

Maya and Naya looked at Hazel with wide eyes, their expressions a mixture of shock and sympathy. "Your sister did this to you?" Naya asked, her voice barely above a whisper.

Hazel nodded, a tear rolling down her cheek.

"Oh, Hazel," Naya murmured, her own eyes welling with tears. "Why would she do that to you? Were you close?"

Hazel shook her head, a bitter laugh escaping her lips.

“Yes.we were close.she was a sweet sister and always wanted to be with me,I didn’t know everything was fake and she took all I have from me.”

Naya put a hand on Hazel's shoulder, her eyes full of compassion. "But you're not alone anymore. You're part of our pack now."

"That's right," Maya added, her voice fierce with determination.

"We'll protect you, no matter what. No one's going to hurt you while you're with us."

Hazel felt a flicker of warmth in her heart, a feeling she hadn't felt in what seemed like ages.

"Thank you," she whispered, looking at the sisters with gratitude. "I...I don't know what I would've done if your brother didn’t help me."

Naya squeezed Hazel's shoulder, her eyes shining with a fierce light.

Naya smiled, her expression a mix of pride and protectiveness. "Well, our brother is pretty amazing," she said, a twinkle in her eye. "And he does have good taste, even if he is a bit of a grump sometimes."

Hazel chuckled, feeling more at ease than she had in a long time.

“Don’t worry.with time you’ll get to know him more” Maya said

“But why was my heart beating for him” Hazel thought

*Find out yourself* Mia replied in her head

*Mia* Hazel sigh

*Are you ready to talk to me now* Mia asked

*No* Hazel replied and mia cut the mind link off immediately

Hazel sighed

“I’ll be going out in a few hours, will you be okay alone” Naya said

Hazel nodded, her mind still swirling with thoughts of the previous night. "I'll be fine," she said, her voice a little shaky. "I'm not really the type to cause trouble."

Naya smiled, her eyes softening. "I know," she said, her tone gentle. "But it's better to be safe than sorry. And besides, if you need anything, just ask Maya. She'll take care of you."

Hazel looked up, her gaze finding Maya's mischievous grin. "Don't worry," Maya said.

Hazel smiled, she was thankful for the love they are showing her
