He Can't Cook

Amelia

I came down from the taxi and joined my friends already waiting for me at the class entrance.

Teaching was going on but I wasn't focused at all, I kept thinking about Dimitro.

I didn't even notice that the teacher was already at my front calling out my name to answer a question.

"AMELIA!" she yelled and I got out of my thoughts immediately.

" Yes ma", I answered with fear in my eyes standing up.

"Seems your body is in this class and your mind is far away now answer my question, what is the similarity between a lycan and a vampire that the witches don't possess in their traits?". My teacher asks the question giving me a wicked look.

At this moment, all I could remember was Dimitro, his very fast, I didn't even know the time I answered saying, " They are very fast when it comes to speed", then I closed my mouth cause I knew I failed already with my answer, "Dimitro please stop coming to my head in class please I beg of you", I said silently.

" Now am dead, I hate this teacher".

"Well Amelia you are lucky you got my question right, you would have face my wrath today, now everyone, class dismissed", she said and left the classroom.

" Phew", I said sitting down.

" Girlfriend do not tell me you have started reading a lot about the subject you dislike the most", Sofia said.

" Hell no, I can't see myself reading that subject anyway but he made me get the answers correctly", I said grinning.

" You look so excited today Amelia!, what're the secrets?", Sofia asked.

"Yes tell us everything, you are even blushing, talk to us".Chloe persisting to know more.

" Okay I will spill, we finally talked today, the cute guy I told you both about".

"All thanks to me for giving such good advise", Chloe praised herself making Sofia jealous a bit.

" Am not happy with you girls, how come you had the conversation without me", Sofia said.

" Am sorry but I have a lot to tell, he wants to treat me to dinner today", I said in excitement.

" Oh mine, am so happy you got someone you like, I want the detail after dinner", Sofia said.

" Try and have your first kiss okay", Chloe added.

" Silly girl".

Gael walked towards us then Sofia said, " Meet us at the library okay", they left.

" Hi Gael".

" Amelia you look beautiful today ", he appreciated my beauty.

"Thanks a lot", I said.

" You haven't been responding to my calls or texts"

" Am sorry about that but have been busy that's why".

" No problem then, are you free tonight for dinner", he asked.

" No Gael, maybe next time, I got to go", I said leaving him to his thoughts but he held me from leaving.

" Are you upset with me Amelia, this is unlike you"? He said.

"Am not upset with you Gael okay". I reassured him.

" Then allow me to treat you to dinner please", he pleaded.

" Am already having dinner with someone else am sorry". I said to him then I saw how hurt he was when I told him am having dinner with someone else.

" Who could that be?", he asked.

" Come on Gael, you can't meddle in my personal life, you are not in the position to ask me who is taking me out for dinner, my friends are waiting for me at the library, see you later," I said, I left him and headed straight to the library.

" Am thrilled about two things, firstly for her to forgive me and accepting me to treat her dinner and lastly, I was able to control myself not to feed on her", I talked to myself when I got back to the castle under few seconds with my speed.

I forgot about the fact that I can't cook a meal neither am I able to eat what they eat, blood is the best for me.

I continued searching for clues when I got so hungry, " I can't go now, I promised her dinner", this was when I recalled what my father said when living in the human world. " The human store blood for them in the castle, the blood they got from the hospitals for them to feed, I think father's storage room".

I headed to the storage room that was where I saw the blood in different packs, I tried the O positive but I totally dislike it but taking the O negative was the best.

I took a lot till I felt okay that was when it dawned on me," I can't cook, I can't disappoint her for the first time and I can't make a promise I can't keep, compelling some humans will do the trick", I said

I finally decided to compel some boys and girls to come to the castle to do some cleaning but the outside remains the way it is to avoid attracting more humans to the house. " I want you to tell your crew to come with me to clean my house, am expecting a date this evening okay", they nodded.

"Now the cleaning is settled, next on my list is to compel someone to prepare the dinner", I said. Walking to a restaurant, I asked for the chef.

I got directed to the chef, " You would leave here and come with your other assistance to the supermarket to get the items needed for preparing dinner for my date okay", she nodded after I compelled her to do as I said.

We got to the supermarket and they got everything needed, we waited for it to be scanned but then I remembered am to pay for it, I had eye contact telling him, " You would use your credit card to pay for everything we collected and let us go and you will forget everything that happened", I said this and left with the chef.

Finally, everything is going as planned, I made sure the place that doesn't need to be accessed by a human was shut and the key with me, the few places that can be accessed was beautiful at night and the aroma from the kitchen was nice.

Everything all set, now I await the presence of Amelia, "What's taking her so long."

Amelia

At home, I got excited when I noticed the absence of my parents, " Thank God my parents aren't home, they would have questioned me about the person am having dinner with", I smiled saying this.

I entered my bathroom to have a warm bath, coming out of the bathroom with my towel, dried off the water off my body, and then applied lotion on my skin and body spray alongside it.

I opened my closet, scanning the dresses there to find the perfect dress for the dinner, "I think this red dress is better and would look good on me".

I fit on the dress and my black heels, wore my accessories that also rhyme with my outfit, I did some light make-up on my face, styled my hair, and crowned it all with the red lipstick, " Now am set to go".

I opened the gate to the castle, he was already standing before me, the way he styled his hair, he looks more handsome tonight.

"You look gorgeous" he complimented me and my outfit, I couldn't stop blushing.

"Thanks, Dimitro, you not looking bad anyway", I said.

" Shall we", he said taking my hand.

We entered the castle, I must confess it's beautiful, I wish I can question him about everything like knowing if his from the royal family and lots more but it's best I respect his privacy.

After eating dinner we talked about a lot of things.

"Thanks for the meal, I enjoyed it", I said to him.

" Am glad you did", he replied with a charming smile on his face.

"So tell me, Amelia, do you have a boyfriend?", I felt shy with his question.

" Am sorry, I shouldn't have asked, it's personal, hope I didn't ruin the evening", he said calmly.

"How sweet of him, he even apologize when he did nothing wrong, I must be lucky, there is nothing to hide from him", I said mentally.

" No need to apologize okay, you did not ruin the mood, I don't have a boyfriend, have never had one in my life, I hope to get a boyfriend when I get to college after high school next year", I said.

" Wow, I find it hard to believe but don't worry just know you are my crush".

I giggled at his statement, his indirectly telling me he likes me.

"What about you, you got a girlfriend".

" Yes", I thought I would be lucky with him but he got a girlfriend.

"Come on, I once had a girlfriend but something happened, but presently I have none".

I got happy again learning he doesn't have a girlfriend meaning I stand a chance.

" Can you come over tomorrow after school, I want to take you somewhere and you would love it", he said.

"Sure I would love that".

After discussing, time for me to go home, we came out from the castle then I said," Thanks for today, I enjoyed my evening"

"Your welcome".

My mom came out from nowhere, " Didn't I tell you not to visit the cursed house, what are you doing here all dressed up like this". She said angrily.

At this moment I don't know what to say, Dimitro might be unhappy for my mom to address his home as a cursed place.
