Chapter 3: I found her…

With full lustrous and long black hair,long lashes that fluttered,warm brown eyes and her small rounded lips as red as rose parted slightly, Leo was lost for a minute.

He felt an intense and immediate connection. It was a feeling that was hard to describe, but it was almost like a magnetic pull towards her. His werewolf's senses became heightened, and he felt a rush of emotions that he had never experienced before.

Somehow,his palms were sweating, and his breath becoming shallow. It was almost like he was in a state of shock, unable to process the overwhelming feelings that he was experiencing.

There was an instant and intense sense of protectiveness and possessiveness towards the lady in front of him. He knew immediately that this person was meant to be his, and he was going to do anything to keep her safe.

His wolf was restless, pacing and whining inside his mind.

She was meant to be his and he was going to do everything it took to claim her.

It took all it had in him to walk away so he didn’t look creepy with the way he looked at her.

Thank the moon goddess that such a lady was his mate. There was nothing better than this.

All he had to do was get close to her and know her. And nothing was going to stop him.

“Was it just me or he looked at me strangely?Like he knew me or something?” Aria asked as they settled down on a table to have their ice cream.

“He was probably mesmerized by your beauty and wants to fuck you too.”

“Zoe!”

“What? Leo wants to fuck every girl in this school. Okay let me rephrase that,all the girls want to fuck him. Only the best are selected.”

“Yuck. Like it’s an achievement,”

“Oh it is. Like a badge you wear on your chest to tell the whole world you’ve been with him and you are super proud of it.And you are so beautiful so he may have taken a liking to you already.”

“Is the dick that good?” Aria frowned and proceeded to take a spoonful of her ice cream.

Zoe smiled and leaned in, "Well I haven’t had a taste yet but I’ve heard rumors of how insanely good it is. Aria,he is one of the richest and hottest guys in the whole college. He's a junior, and he's so bad, in the best way possible."

Aria raised an eyebrow. "Bad? What do you mean?"

"He's just...you know, a little wild," Zoe said with a shrug. "He's got this reputation as a player,”

Aria looked disgusted. "I don't want to be involved with a guy like that," she said firmly.

Zoe rolled her eyes and chuckled "Oh, come on, Aria. Loosen up a bit. It's no big deal.”

“I don’t want no community dick,Zoe. Thank you,next.”

“He is a bit of rogue but he is super cute. Maybe when you get to know him,you would fall for his charms too. Just a matter of time,boo”

Aria wasn't convinced. She couldn't imagine herself with a guy like Leo, no matter how hot he was.

She had been dating a guy while she was in high school for years and he was perfect for her .But they had to separate when he travelled out of the country in the final year of high school.

They grew apart and it was the end of the road.

Since then,she had not taken interest in anyone else either.

Her ex wasn’t the most handsome boy or richest or even all that fun. But he was safe and secure. At least he didn’t cheat on her.

And she knew he loved her.

And she felt the same.

Well until they broke apart and had to move on.

Zoe snapped her fingers in front of Aria’s face bringing her back to reality.

“What? Thinking about Leo already?” She gave a teasing smile.

“Heck no. Why would I think about him? So what,you want him too?”

“Pffft. Who doesn’t? I’d like to yeah but he hasn’t paid me any attention yet. Maybe tomorrow I would wear a shorter skirt or a top with more cleavage.”

Aria shook her head.”You are crazy,girl.”

“I never said I wasn’t,” she giggled .”But for now I am focusing on the guys that are actually interested in me,so yeah.”

“Good for you,Zoe.”

“Do you have a boyfriend?”

“No,why?”

“I’d look for one for ya.”

“No Zoe,thanks but I’m good.”

“When last did you get laid?”

“Can’t remember.”

“I’d set you up. Since you don’t want Leo, I know a guy that you would love”

Aria had an amused smile when she said,”Thank you really,but I’m not interested right now.”

“If you ever want to and you change your mind,you know who to call,” Zoe winked at her,earning a giggle from her.

Yeah,she knew Zoe was definitely going to be her new best friend.

Later that evening, the Hilson family sat down for dinner. A few relatives had come over, and the atmosphere was warm and convivial. Aria sat down at the table, feeling a little awkward. She had a strange feeling in her stomach, and she couldn't quite shake it off.

As they started passing around the food, Aria's appetite suddenly grew. She felt a hunger unlike anything she had ever experienced before. She took a large helping of mashed potatoes, and then another, and then another. The more she ate, the hungrier she became. Where was this ravenous appetite stemming out from?

“Are you okay, Aria?" Lydia asked.”You barely touched breakfast this morning.”

Aria shrugged, "I don't know. I'm just really hungry tonight."

Lydia looked concerned, "Maybe you should slow down a bit. You don't want to make yourself sick."

“I am alright,don’t bother,” she replied quickly and continued munching on her food.

“Aria,” Chloe whined.”If you keep eating like that,we would all have nothing left to eat here.”

Everyone at the table started to notice her strange behavior. Her father,Daniel, raised an eyebrow at her plate, which was piled high with food. "Are you feeling okay, Aria?" he asked.

Aria nodded, her mouth full. She couldn't stop eating. She took another spoonful of potatoes as well as some roasted turkey and swallowed it down. Suddenly, she started choking. She coughed and sputtered, unable to breathe.

Lydia rushed over and handed her a glass of water which she downed in a second. Everyone’s gazes were fixated on her .

She was suddenly embarrassed and came to a realization that something was definitely up with her.

Kicking back her chair,she stood up and wiped her mouth clean with a napkin.

“I’m sorry but can I be excused?” She asked and without waiting for a response,found her way to her room hastily,wishing that the earth dug up and swallowed her whole.

She felt scared a little and just as she was trying to process her thoughts, Chloe pushed her door open suddenly and stuck her head through it.

“Thanks for ruining dinner,Aria.” She scowled.”Thanks for eating like a hippo. Are you pregnant? Go get yourself checked or something. Weirdo.”

Aria sighed and paced around the room feeling sorry for herself.

She rubbed on her arm a little,still feeling the pain from her wound.

What the heck was going on?

Later that night, Leo sat in his room with Brad, his beta and best friend. "I found my mate," he said quietly.

Leo was the leader of a small but powerful pack. Brad happened to be his beta and also his best friend in the world.

Brad's eyes widened. "Really? Who is she?"

"Aria," Leo said with a smile. "She's amazing. I've never felt anything like this before. I need to get close to her, to protect her."

“Who is that?”

“Her name is Aria Hall. She’s a freshman.You really need to see her,man.”

“Wow. So you finally found her. That is amazing. After all these years of searching.”

“I know right?”

Brad nodded. "I'll help you, man. Whatever you need."

Leo smiled, feeling grateful for his friend's support. He knew that Aria was the one for him, and he would stop at nothing to make her his.

He couldn’t wait for the next day so he could see her again.
