Chapter 5

"So slow! I want to cosplay as a conch," Devano snickered.

The man looked with a sharp gaze at his friend, while the man who held Devano's family's doctor just sighed.

"He needs to be examined?" the doctor asked.

Devano only moved his head up and down, making the man with the doctor's status immediately approach Kania. He quickly examined the woman lying on the bed, then nodded his head.

"She hasn't eaten. She has a relapse of gastritis. I'll give you a prescription," said the doctor.

Hearing this, the man in charge here looked at Kania and then the doctor. He tilted his head and immediately covered Kania again, making the person who had just examined the woman frown.

"Don't you feel sick when you come into contact with her?"

The man immediately looked up at his friend. Devano's face was very flat, making it difficult for people to guess what the man was thinking.

"Yes! And she's the only one who can be touched."

Azka frowned, even more, making Devano snort. He immediately landed his butt on the sofa, followed by the man in the doctor's uniform.

"Like him?" asked Azka.

The man who owned this residence immediately gave Azka a cynical look, and then the man he was staring at just flashed a smile.

Azka stared at Devano with an incredulous look, making the one being stared at feel annoyed. The man immediately stood up and pulled his friend's clothes and pulled the man's clothes.

"Get lost! And... don't forget to buy that medicine you mentioned!"

The man in the doctor's uniform stared in disbelief while Devano replied with a flat face.

"Devano... I'm your friend. After all, I'm a doctor! Not your errand boy," said Azka.

"Yes, yes, I'll buy it for you. Huh... the rich have more power," Azka continued.

Devano immediately closed the door on Azka's next words, surprising the man before grumbling while walking away. Meanwhile, the man in his room looked back at Kania, lying on the bed with her eyes tightly closed.

"Forgot that this girl has that disease."

After saying so, this man with a burly stature chose to lock the door again. Then, he quickly entered the bathroom to clean himself up, remembering the woman in the nightclub who touched him and made him sick again.

"Damn it!" the man cursed.

He immediately splashed his body with cold water and, after cleaning himself, left the room just as Kania opened her eyes. Seeing this, Devano chose to wear clothes there, making the woman who was there scream weakly and quickly close her eyes.

"Wake up already. Call the maid here to prepare food for you!" Devano ordered.

Kania continued to close her eyes, making Devano feel annoyed.

"No, sir. I'm not hungry. I want to go home, sir. Please let me go," Kania said.

The man had just finished putting on his pants. He immediately turned around when he heard Kania's request. A smirk appeared on the man's lips, and then he looked at the woman lying down.

"What did you say? Can you repeat it!"

The man's tone was as usual, but it sounded very piercing. Kania swallowed at this, then ventured to express her wish.

"I want to go home, sir, and please let me go."

Devano took wide steps toward Kania with his shirtless body. Hearing footsteps, the woman dared to peek and then glared when she saw her master approaching. She tried to get up with a limp and got off the bed.

"How dare you ask to go home! If I let you go home, why did I look for you earlier," the man snapped.

He grabbed Kania by the neck and pushed her against the wall.

"Arghhh... it hurts, mister."

The man tightened his grip even more and raised Kania's body. He was keeping her feet off the floor.

"I can't. Bre-ath, S-sir," Kania said.

The owner of this residence was completely ignored. He was still a stranger looking at Kania's painful face. Then, after feeling enough, it was immediately released, making the woman cough.

"Do you still dare to ask for things that I must grant?" asked the man.

Kania did not answer; she just held her neck, which was still in pain. Finding no answer, Devano immediately pulled her chin to look at him.

"Listen, no!"

Kania nodded her head. She chose to stop her request first, Obeying Devano's words because if she rebelled again, the next life may be lost.

"Get on the bed, and the maid will bring food later. Eat it! I don't want to see you like this, so weak," Devano exclaimed.

The man immediately got up and walked to the dressing room to get his clothes. After feeling himself presentable, the man quickly went out without forgetting to lock the door. So that Kania couldn't leave, she heard the sound of the lock. This woman just exhaled tiredly, started to shed tears, and then hugged her knees.

"Why do I have to be like this? Why...."

"Mom is also why she sold me, using me to make up for the debt."

This woman immediately shut up when she saw Devano's arrival, limply stepping onto the bed. Seeing this, the man just stared flatly and chose to land his buttocks on the chair and then put the laptop on the table.

"Sir, here are the food and drinks," said a maid.

Seeing Devano, who glanced at him and then nodded, he immediately gave Kania the food.

"Where's Sella? Is she okay?" asked Kania.

Hearing that question, the woman who was a maid was confused. Devano immediately ordered the servant to leave.

"Why do you think about other people? It's better to hurry up and finish the food. After that, take the medicine. It will arrive soon," Devano said.

Kania didn't answer, and the woman immediately fed her food that she had never eaten in her entire life. Focused on earning a living, most of these women only eat instant noodles.

"Even though this food is delicious, it's my situation that's not good."

The woman said silently, while Devano, who did not get an answer, immediately turned his head. Staring at Kania, who was very hungry, made him grin and choose to focus on doing work again.

"Poor bastard!"

Hearing Devano's words, the woman turned her head. But went back to devouring food again, not protesting that the man's words were true.

"After eating, just call the maid. Let me take the dishes away," Devano said.

Kania again made no sound, irritating Devano. The man immediately got up, then approached the woman, and quickly grabbed a strong grip on the cheek near the jaw, making the master grimace.

"If I speak, answer, don't just stay silent. I want to make you unable to speak," Devano grumbled.

Meanwhile, at another residence, Erna immediately contacted the loan shark who had brought Kania. After the connected tone was heard, she looked at Dania with a smile on her lips.

"How's it going, boss? Have you unboxed Kania yet? She's still a virgin, right? When should I send the dowry here?" Erna chatted.
